Network Vision/LTE - Jacksonville Market (including Gainesville/St. Augustine/Ocala)

Haven't hit B26 on my G2 at all today. Been going north along San Jose near the i95 exit.

Do I need to go LTE only mode? Sounds like I may be limited since KitKat update broke that functionality.

Its probably all over but lacking any eCSFB. Do we have any iPhone 5S users around here?

My wife has an iPhone 5c, I need to drive around with it and see if I can catch any B26. I almost bought a G2 to replace my iPhone 5, but I'm holding out for the iPhone 6. I'm afraid to buy a used G2, to be honest.

Update: B26 spotted on Downtown's Southbank/San Marco on my wife's iPhone 5c. This was inside our condo just south of I-95/fuller warren bridge in San Marco. My iPhone 5 on B25 had a signal of -102dBm, my wife's iPhone 5c on B26 had a signal of -88dBm in the same exact spot.

I had a feeling something was happening since we've had terrible service for the last week and now things are back to normal (plus we have B26).

I too have it at my house now(B26) I am hoping they lit it up on the Little Talbot Island Tower also, I'll find out today.

Look at what I found on the intersection of 103rd Street and chaffee road.

There's some ecsfb problems. My notification bar said searching for service instead of sprint.

Did you pick any up coming through Oakleaf?

Numerous reportings of B26 and I'm on the G2. :'(

I guess there wont be a perfect phone, will there? Lol.

What is wrong with the G2? I was connected to band 26 almost all of yesterday when I went down to Orlando. All I did was set my priority to 26>41>25.

Nothing is wrong it is doing exactly what it should. You just can't have the G2 ignore the eCSFB issues like the N5 can.

I meant to add in my B26 post last night:

The iPhone 5c was parked on B26 the whole night, regardless of whether data was being used or if the phone was idle. Also, B25 on my iPhone 5 was almost the exact same speed, despite having a much weaker signal. The iPhone 5c never once switched to B25, even though B25 had a decent signal and was not overburdened.

Probably no tuning yet. Interesting though how you got the same speeds on b25 with a less strong signal...

So today I was either roaming or on 1xRTT almost my entire commute to work where I'd normally be almost all LTE. I am hoping St Augustine is getting lit soon with band 26/800 CDMA. It seems to be North of us on Jax and South of us in Orlando...

I wish the tower near downtown would be LTE accepted soon. Anyone see if NV equipment is on it tet?

I had a site near a grocery store that I service get 3g accepted and deep inside the building I would roam. Now I get -99 signal it's not great but I can get calls without having to wait for my phone to roam.

In addition to the towers on SR16 and by I95 and 207 only broadcasting 1xRTT, the tower right by my work on US1 by Old Moultrie just went down. I just saw my signal go from -84 dBm LTE to EHRPD to 1xRTT right before my eyes. I really hope this is the big moment for St Augustine. There has been zero activity here since last August/September.

More B26 testing in Downtown Jax:

The iPhone 5c on B26 in the middle of the Southbank/San Marco.

The iPhone 5 on B25 sitting right next to the iPhone 5c.

I did a couple of these tests to show that B26 is much faster than B25 in the middle of the day at this particular site/sector.

Once again, the iPhone 5c is parked on B26.

In Orlando my G2 was pretty much parked on band 26 as well and randomly switched to band 41 here and there. Band 25 was almost MIA.

Where in Orlando where you? Because I don't pick up any b25 here at all. Lol. Except downtown

I had band 26 from a few miles east of Maitland on I4 all through Orlando and to Kissimmee and I was parked on band 26 along the John Young Pkwy. I jumped over to band 41 briefly a few times, but it was basically all band 26

Good luck. I'm within 25 miles of the villages and I can tell you band 26 is not here yet. 1x800 seems to be in testing. On a regular prl even on a 105 dBm 1x signal it will not switch to 1x800 but with the 513 prl I get 800 voice all over the place.

I'm going to The Villages for a week soon to visit a friend. I'll document any B26 sittings from south Jax to The Villages.

It may not be optimized yet but can you tell if it has made a noticeable difference yet. I was always the most anxious to see how 1x800 would impact a rural area like that.
