  1. Robert or someone, please merged thiS to "mainline" TMO.
  2. Surprised that Verizon wasn't interested. It could've almost instantly transferred subs to its own network. AT&T was only bidder for Leap, upped price by 58% in negotiations Read more: AT&T was only bidder for Leap, upped price by 58% in negotiations - FierceWireless http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/att-was-only-bidder-leap-upped-price-58-negotiations/2013-07-31#ixzz2ae1gPq5T Subscribe at FierceWireless
  3. That price shouldn't matter because you call, press # to cancel service and say to them "if you've been making money off of me for the last 6 months, you can continue making money off me at the current rate or make $0/month at the increased rate." I did this for my parents and have got then the same rate for the last 2+ years - $30 for performance Internet (20 Mbps)
  4. Do you see TMO buying any carrier? Every article I read quoting TMO CEO makes it seem like TMO only cares about top 25 markets.
  5. Is it really necessary to create another TMO thread? Robert already merged two threads - "Tmobile vs sprint 4g" and "why Tmobile's 4g will kick ..."
  6. In other words, really fast. Excellent point. TMO had fiber to urban sites and all they did was swap panels and ??some basestations??
  7. Let's get a more authoritative answer. Backhaul was the major reason why NV 1.0 was so slow. Is installing panels really gonna take as long as backhaul+panels?
  8. It's probably not up to date cause they said they'd match their 3G coverage end of 2Q13. They're gonna eventually match it because they've been proclaiming that they're gonna release LTE-only phones in the future. The reason I'm skeptical of Softy expanding coverage to reach VZW and ATT, without buying soneone, is because of what AJ, Robert have said: it's extremely expensive to expand into an area with 0% market share and get up to break even cashflow.
  9. The metric would be, as you said, speed/area: megabits/sec/miles^2. Verizon would have more miles^2 but too late to fix that.
  10. That makes more sense than "bring TDD to Montana".
  11. They're not gonna announce "we're gonna buy us cellular, Cspire, ntelos" on a conference call. Do you have an article quoting him about matching Verizon's coverage? I'd like to see that quote.
  12. Are they gonna target contiguous TD everywhere they have PCS sites? Even on the sites along interstate? I really don't think roaming costs are the reason Softy wants to have ubiquitous TD coverage.
  13. Here's the investor presentation (the one with minimal financials and more pictures lol). http://investors.sprint.com/Cache/1001177569.PDF?Y=&O=PDF&D=&fid=1001177569&T=&iid=4057219
  14. Yep, like I said. TMO better expand fiber to all their 54k towers because their urban advantage just got annihilated.
  15. This point is really undebateable: no one here knows the terms of LTE support specified by Apple's contracts with each carrier.
  16. You're asking us to divine Apple's intentions while people who are paid 6 figures can't even do it. Lets leave Apple out of this and focus on everyone else. When did Samsung, ChineseSpy_1 (huawei), ChineseSpy_2 (ZTE), Nokia, Sony, LG, etc first make a band 3, 7, 20 phone?
  17. Will cable companies eventually upgrade with FTTH or can they keep on wringing speed improvements through docsis ?
  18. Uverse speeds will never match coax cable. But the bigger problem is that speeds depend on how far from a CO you're on. ATT wants to wring out value from its copper lines but eventually they're gonna have to upgrade to fiber if they don't wanna be smoked by cable. Or if they're happy to decrease their prices, fine. Whenever a uverse employee calls me and offers me 6mbps for $30, given I'm paying $40 for 50mbps, I wanna smack them through the phone and yell "I SAID IM GETTING 50mbps FOR $40" Then they read off their script [indian accent]"oh but sir, cable is a shared resource with your neighbors and BLAH BLAH BLAH". AT&T ups U-verse speeds to 45 Mbps in Texas Read more: AT&T ups U-verse speeds to 45 Mbps in Texas - FierceTelecom http://www.fiercetelecom.com/story/att-ups-u-verse-speeds-45-mbps-texas/2013-03-25#ixzz2aSgrkxU2 Subscribe at FierceTelecom
  19. Would vohspa be useful to TMO? http://d1sxb0xfyrci7y.cloudfront.net/asset_files/0003/2273/891cdf10-7214-012f-93a4-12313804dc61/v1/Web_Voice_Evolution_Tech_Exe_042612_original.pdf
  20. I don't doubt it. I get that this is a complete rebuild. By Sep 2014 Sprint's network will be bitching EVERYwhere. I say Sep cause that's when I think the iphone 6 is coming out and I'm holding onto a iphone 4.
  21. No. Currently VZW single line with grandfathered unlimited. In 2014, I'm switching to TMO or Sprint for 3 lines. I'm encouraged by what Son said about competing on price.
  22. Is the coverage calculated in premier section more accurate?Do you guys use cloud rf?
