  1. Then why didn't they include LTE B26 on the iphone 5. Please don't say "because Sprint didn't have LTE on ESMR yet"
  2. I'm glad it has it so we move quicker to one LTE model for America: 4, 13, 17, 25(includes 2), 26(includes 5), TDD 41. Bam! Sprint will NEED 1xA on CDMA B10 but when it hears the price from Apple to include it, it'll quickly move to add more towers with B26 (ESMR) LTE.
  3. Then everything should be fine. 1xA has 4x the capacity and on these forums it is stated that all Sprint phones going back some number of years have 1xA on Band 10 (ESMR) so everything should be fine from eliminating CDMA on PCS, right? http://www.qualcomm.com/solutions/wireless-networks/technologies/1x-advanced
  4. Can't ublox just add CDMA band 10?It appears b10 is a superset of band 0. http://niviuk.free.fr/cdma_band.php Maybe the current 800/1900 module actually supports band 10; the website just says "800/1900".
  5. Those are the lowest ARPU users. Carriers will "keep" the CDMA equipment on the towers but if one fails, oh well. If Verizon has long switched from CDMA by 2020 and Sprint at least in the process of switching, no vendor will still be making CDMA equipment unless there's a contract AND the carriers choose to enforce that contract.
  6. Why would G block LTE be suspect if Sprint did the hard work of getting B25 going? This means that Sprint is gonna get into high gear with respect to VoLTE cause that'll be its only voice option if it gets rid if CDMA. I'm sure once AJ sees this line of thinking, he'll go ballistic lol.
  7. I thought you said Sprint will keep CDMA on ESMR until 2020. Also, AJ said that Sprint will only get rid of CDMA when the current equipment starts failing which I'm guessing is not not gonna be a mere 3.5 years.Looks like the ublox-Sprint M2M deal wasn't worth jack, huh? cause ATT also plans to shutdown their 2G by 2017. Though Sprint could, like you said, keep 1x on ESMR but the modem mentioned in below article doesn't have ESMR. http://www.u-blox.com/en/wireless-modules/cdma/fw75.htmlSprint strikes M2M deal with u-blox, targets AT&T's 2G shutdownRead more: Sprint strikes M2M deal with u-blox, targets AT&T's 2G shutdown - FierceWireless http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-strikes-m2m-deal-u-blox-targets-atts-2g-shutdown/2013-04-22#ixzz2aGZulvlo Subscribe at FierceWireless
  8. That's what WCDMA+ is for. Same voice capacity in 1/3 the spectrum. Look at the Qualcomm WCDMA+ presentation on their website. I know WCDMA+ won't be available for years but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
  9. Iphone 6 for me in Sep 2014. Gonna feel weird going from iphone 4 3.5" to 4"+
  10. I'm surprised you didn't wait for a Sprint 7. I'm pretty sure you won't be getting ATT/VZW so will you become one of the "poor, without credit TMO subs"? I think the cellular tablet data prices are WAY too much. Sprint's $10 or $15 per gigabyte especially with them being behind TMO in LTE rollout.
  11. Not so fast. Double that for 800 LTE and add some more for the EVDO. Sprint will quickly need 250mbps at most sites and that's not even counting TDD.
  12. Softy bought Sprint today now instead of in one year cause it's cheaper.
  13. Longterm that's an advantage cause that means no one else can offer those speeds. Sprint is 50mil subs. That may not be Verizon/ATT but combined with Softy, no one's gonna dick around on unreasonable device costs for Sprint.
  14. That's not entirely accurate. Band 25 = Band 2 + G block so devices can just have band 25 instead of band 2 which other 3 ARE using. Band 26 = Band 5 + ESMR (same as above 25)
  15. Is Sprint gonna get its ass in gear? If it's trying to be number 1, this isn't how Sprint should be behaving.
  16. What? Who said that? If you're gonna build a network from scratch, might as well use fiber.
  17. Any company is free to install fiber or coax anywhere they want but it mostly doesn't meet the cost/benefit threshold. Verizon stopped expanding Fios in 2012.
  18. Ouch. Even when I had ATT DSL, I got 6mbps. Uverse is currently 24mbps so not a big improvement but at least they're gonna increase their speeds soon.
  19. I have Comcast and I have the Blast (50mbps) down. They also gave me basic digital tv, Streampix, and HBO free for 2 years. $40/month for 1 year, goes to $60 after that. Where I live, I also have access to WOW! U-verse. My wifi can't even reach 50mbps but when I plug in, it's 50. But guess who's gonna threaten to go to WOW! if I don't get $40 price forever? Hahahhahahah Comcast is nice as long as you know how to play them. Also, you have to be talking to a college-educated "customer solutions" person, not someone from the ghetto. You'll know the difference right away.
  20. NV won't be done for another year and even then, they're gonna start converting the GMOs. No point in a name change till then. Let "Sprint" soak up all the anger and "" reaps the benefit late 2014.
  21. Oh he will. When Sprint debuts 40 MHz TDD. In the sponsor section, will the TDD sites be marked?
  22. DC means dual carrier. One "carrier" is 5x5.
  23. Now how about upgrading those 15k rural towers?
