  1. Just wait for the rest of those 3G accepts to go LTE, that is going to be impressive!
  2. Whole bunch of accepts. Pretty jealous to look at the market maps now!
  3. Interesting, I had not heard of this yet. I stand corrected.
  4. I could be wrong, but do not understand how Atlanta would not have eCSFB solved by now... Also, the Nexus 5 has by far the best radio of any Sprint phone. The only reasonable explanation is that your phone is broken or not correctly configured. I was almost thinking a SIM error, but you made it sound like you would connect to LTE from time to time. Something is just not adding up here.
  5. Settings of the mifi showing Band 26? Not trying to doubt, just want proof. That would be most likely be great news for the rest of Ohio! Edit: D'oh.
  6. Posted some pictures from the site that has this in Columbus, OH. Feel free to take some pictures from there as well.
  7. Make sure you take a look at the Columbus Sponsor thread / maps. You will be amazed at all of the additional information are now at your fingertips. Thanks!
  8. This works great! Just used it and it works better than Splashtop in my opinion.
  9. I probably could have worded that better. The intent was that moving forward most connections will be B25 / B41 unless either are overloaded or out of range. I agree that it is all dependent on current network load and you could be switched around at will (also kind of the point). Just wanted to make sure people didn't think that B26 was going to be their own personal band for uber fast connections. That is not the purpose of B26.
  10. Hey guys, B26 will be the same maximum performance as B25 which is 37 Mb. Keep in mind this is a theoretical max and real world speeds will be slower than that. Also, please note that when the network is completely rolled out you really shouldn't be on B26 unless you do NOT have coverage from a B41 or B25 site. The network will shunt you from bands based on network load.
  11. Certainly possible, too bad you are not a sponsor or we could point you to the towers to check out... Quite a few haven't been checked in awhile.
  12. I believe I know what tower it is and it is no surprise you weren't able to use it. Quite a bit of range. You should donate a few bucks, you would be impressed at how much information we have. Including but not limited to the maps and spreadsheet. Sorry, I'm unable to pin down the exact tower address, but let's just say it was due east quite a ways. I'm surprised you even got a connection, maybe you were on the top floor of a building / dorm?
  13. I have a feeling I know which site this is. I believe there may be a problem with that site. It wouldn't hurt to report a problem to Sprint. They are going to probably pass the buck because it isn't "supposed" to be updated yet... It is too bad you cannot join the Sponsor discussion. I mentioned this problem there the other day.
  14. This article doesn't leave me holding my breath...
  15. I did a poor job of explaining what I meant the first time around. We have noticed multiple sites that go 3G NV live without the backhaul connected to the site. What this means, backhaul is at the site, but they do NOT switch over to the new backhaul until they launch LTE. Does that make more sense? I.E. It is still possible that the site will go LTE live in a couple days. However, we have also found that there is no real indication as to the timeline. It could still take a month or a year, you never know. No, bands have nothing to do with PRL. PRL is only a roaming list. Your phone either has Band 25, 41, 26 or it does not. No PRL will fix that.
  16. Keep in mind that when a site is NV 3G upgraded it does NOT mean that the backhaul is upgraded as well. We have seen many sites go NV 3G and no increased speeds because they use the existing data connection. When the site goes LTE, you will definitely see increased speeds. It is still possible to overburden 3G, but much harder than the pre-NV lousy backhaul at each site.
  17. Multiple users on this forum have noticed tower workers during rain / storms / snow. Wet conditions make it difficult, but not impossible. Of course, it varies dramatically on site conditions. NV is clearly not worth an incident. Even just today, two crews were spotted.
  18. Got it here. It was in reference to the tower in Westerville that is my "most used tower". Here's to hoping that it launches ASAP.
  19. The logo is deceiving. It will be activated if you are connected to LTE of any kind.
  20. It is not. .17 basebands and beyond are subject to eCSFB and therefore will not connect without it.
  21. Thanks for the simple explanation. I knew I was missing something...
  22. I must be missing something, but is the B41 LTE antenna different than the main antenna or only in picture? You state in the article no SVLTE, but it would look like otherwise for B41 and 1x. I'm going to re-read the article again...
