  2. Also, if you are anywhere near Columbus, OH. You should become a sponsor. Our thread is one of the most updated threads with all kinds of site information. We also have a database file for SCP, so you not only know which band you are on, but exactly which tower you are on as well. Premiere sponsorship access gives you access to everything, well worth the cost of admission.
  3. FYI, you could sideload it on the N6. I wouldn't see why you couldn't do it on the 6P as well.
  4. What you were told and what has happened are two different things. I've been told many times that there were notes / credits put on my account that 'somehow' never showed up when I called back. I'm kind of anal about calling customer service and always mark the date / time and person's name I'm speaking to specifically to refer back to that. I think it is well worth another phone call, worst that happens is they say "I'm sorry sir, but I have a note on your account". Again, I'm with you in telling the truth. I'm not suggesting you call back and change your story. I think you should call back and give the exact same story and see what the new person says.
  5. I also, was wondering how Google tracks your complaint / call. I'd think that you may want to simply wait a week and call back with the exact same story that you gave before. I've noted that the customer service you receive is VERY dependent on how the other person is feeling that day... I've definitely profiled the conversation (i.e. heard their voice and hung up before any information was given and called back immediately). It may seem trivial, but I think some of these employees have more wiggle room than they initially lead on to on purpose. I wanted to purchase a 6P device myself and am weighing your outcome / story pretty heavily. I know for a fact at least years ago, that Apple had a one time forgiveness policy where you could purchase a replacement iPhone for on contract pricing (~$200-300 depending on model). Good luck.

  7. This seems weird to me... Are you sure you have it setup correctly on the Google Voice website as well? I have had it setup for awhile, but just re-did it when 6.0 came out and I did a full wipe. May want to check all settings, you aren't talking about full integration are you? I do not use full integration, so I cannot speak to that.
  8. I agree, battery life is much better. I wish SCP worked consistently, but I think that is more of an issue with 6.0.
  9. I'm sorry I completely glossed over that comment. I must agree with tybo31316, as flashing stock images on Nexus devices is much easier and better than HTC. I remember having the original EVO and EVO 3D and how horribly annoying it was with those devices. Either way, 6.0 has been running great. Hope you get it soon.
  10. You have a Nexus 6 and you are waiting for an OTA? I thought that was the whole point of a true Nexus device. I'm loving 6.0 on the Nexus 6. I'm getting great battery life as well!
  11. I worded my post poorly. I meant it was surprising that the Nexus devices do not get more love at local stores. Most people ask about my phone / seem intrigued, yet I have always heard they do not do well when it comes to sales. As an aside, no wireless charging is quite lame.
  12. May be why they are eliminating store / carrier versions altogether and just going with online sales. Surprises me really, people always ask me what phone I have and want to get more information on it... Oh well.

  15. It is possible they are doing some tweaks in reference to Band 25... Are you able to be a little more specific? Are you running SCP?
  16. That is true, however, due to wireless charging the phone does have a smallish spot that will be attracted to a magnet. The problem is the phone is so large, it doesn't work well. I have an existing iMount that I used for my N5 and it does not work well with the N6.

  18. Would you mind explaining that in a little more detail. I've always stayed away from the EasyPay options and stuck with 2 year agreements. My wife's S5 is getting a little long in the tooth already (I know, a little nuts) and I received an offer to upgrade using EasyPay for a limited time. It sounds like you are creating a new line with EasyPay, closing out the old account and then just continuing to do that. Once you finish payments on the EasyPay you are no longer "tied" to that account / number? Is that correct? You are in turn paying full price for the phone (MSRP), but you are able to sell your old phone for a decent profit if it is ~1 year old. Also, do you all know anything about this promotion? Not trying to thread jack, it is related to getting a new phone every year... Congratulations! For a limited time, you're eligible to upgrade your phone when you sign up for Easy Pay monthly installments or our Sprint Lease option with no service agreement. Or, upgrade with a new 2-year service agreement on 05/01/2016.
  19. Just to keep everyone informed of the situation, it appears I'm "lucky". After multiple days / trips to Sprint local stores and multiple phone calls to executive services they finally added the device / MEID back to the database in order to re-activate my phone. It was an overnight process and when I went to activate it online it "went" thru. I waited over a half hour and the website was showing my N6 as active, yet no phone calls / texts / nor data would work. I had to go into the Sprint store who troubleshot it for an hour before they sent me to a corporate repair store. Another additional 1.5 hours later, the techs were completely stumped. The SIM card was active, the LTE data was live yet the phone would not make calls or send text messages. I reiterated that I used my phone for work and had spent countless hours trying to troubleshoot this problem and the manager was kind enough to provide me with a store replacement. She mentioned that she would be docked for doing it, but basically felt bad for me. So, all in all I'm a bit confused. No idea why my old N6 "broke" when it went to Project Fi and why it couldn't be re-activated to Sprint afterwards. Seems pretty weird and I'll chalk it up to an early adopter. Having said that, at least Sprint stepped up and provided me with a new working phone. Thankfully it is a Nexus, so it only took me half a day to re-flash images to the latest software and get Xposed working again. How is the experience with Project Fi working for everyone else? Switching from TMobile to Sprint seamlessly / making sense? I'm very interested in the service combination as I think it would bode well for my area, but I'm nervous about the data pricing. Really just wanted to try it out.
  20. It has been since Saturday and I still do not have a resolution. I must admit, I know the process occurred because of my actions, but I really think it should be a simpler fix. If I didn't have an existing N5 that I didn't happen to trade-in / sell when I bought the N6 I would be livid.
  21. I now have confirmation in writing from Google that they have released my device... We'll see how many phone calls today it takes to get this resolved.
  22. This is an interesting caveat. To save all of the details, the intent for me was simply to test drive the Fi network over a couple of days (read: weekend) and then switch back to Sprint before the work week as I use my phone extensively for work and do not want to switch numbers yet / port over officially to Project Fi. Please note that per above, you need to specifically de-activate your Nexus 6 from your Sprint account for your Nexus to be fully activated on Project Fi. Here comes the fun. I had an old Nexus 5, so I had activated it on my account in the interim. I was done testing / playing with Project Fi and so I went online to Sprint's website to switch the device back to Sprint. No dice. I received an error stating that my device is not "We're sorry. The phone you've selected cannot be used at this time. Please select another phone to continue your activation." Two hours later on Sprint technical support, no luck. Two hours later today at a corporate repair center basically confirmed that the device ESN is no longer listed in Sprint's database to be activated and that it is unable to be brought into Sprint. Even though, they confirmed that the N6 was on Sprint just days before under the same very account. Two more phone calls into Project Fi where they confirmed that the "phone isn't locked when using Project Fi"... I'm now awaiting a response from Project Fi confirming that they in fact are releasing my ESN in order to get the phone back on Sprint. All just to test drive Project Fi... Hopefully this story can save someone else's time. I'll keep everyone updated as to my resolution. Pretty miffed that Google claimed they released my phone as I have now completely cancelled my Project Fi account instead of at first pausing them. From my very basic understanding this is all Sprint's annoying way of authenticating devices. If you are coming from a GSM carrier you shouldn't have these issues. Blech.
  23. SCP behaves identical for me. When on Sprint, all my notes show up. When on TMobile, I do not have any notes, so none are shown. However, GCI, PCI and LTE connection type are shown (ie Band 2). Let me know if you have any other questions. I've noticed the wifi calling is nice, but doesn't want to use it all the time. Kind of weird.
  24. Sounds like the ship may have already sailed for you. I use Google Voice for visual voicemail with the N6 on Sprint, however, do not do the integration. I spoke with Fi / Google support and was able to move my Google Voice account to a different gmail address (read: extra) and then used my personal (read: main) account for the Fi invite. In speaking to support, you are unable to change your gmail account from Fi after the fact. Therefore, I'd prefer that my Fi is on my personal and I can always change the Google Voice account back to my 'main' account if I do not like / utilize Fi. Just food for thought. As an aside, processing / shipping appears to be pretty quick. Tracking number as of last night was already live and I am anticipating delivery on the 25th.
