  1. We certainly appreciate your patience and your open mind. Most people come in here complaining without doing any research and it is neither productive / helpful, thank you for not being that person. You are most definitely correct about multiple sites being installed within the Columbus limits most likely with backhaul already in place. The key for why these sites are NOT flipped over is because of the legacy handoff issues. This means that if Sprint launched inner Columbus sites without doing most / clusters at the same time you would have an insane amount of dropped calls. When I mean insane, please understand that what we are talking about is EVERY time you make a phone call and switch from legacy to NV the call is dropped. No warning, no message just hard drop. Sprint can simply NOT afford to allow this to happen. I'm speculating about this next part, but what we believe they are doing is installing as much as then can and when they have a majority done they will launch all at once. Or at least major clusters in order to decrease the amount of issues. I understand, it would seem easier to just have the crews work in Ross counties or other places first and wait, but most of that is based on permits and site availability. We have to zoom out and realize the coordination / project management that is happening on a macro level, keep in mind the Columbus market has 400 sites in total. As for TWC, simply buy a modem directly from Amazon Docsis 2.0 http://www.amazon.com/ARRIS-Motorola-SURFboard-SB5101U-DOCSIS/dp/B002M3SHXA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388596680&sr=8-1&keywords=docsis+2.0 or Docsis 3.0 http://www.amazon.com/ARRIS-Motorola-SB6121-SURFboard-DOCSIS/dp/B004XC6GJ0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388596695&sr=8-1&keywords=docsis+3.0 . 2. Appreciate your patience and the G2 is an excellent phone with a ton of future proofing. I'm with you on the SVLTE and SVDO needs, but it is unfortunately not in the cards moving forward. I may have to snag up a hotspot in order to alleviate this concern. Thanks again.
  3. Just an FYI, got a TYLT for Christmas and I highly recommend it. The fact that is it tilted and has a wide range for charging is awesome. You can set it both horizontally and vertically with ease and the light to confirm it is charging (green) is very subtle and does not blind you or add a bunch of light at night. It also seems to trickle charge quite effectively at least for my N5. When I take it off the charger, I'm at >98% or fully charged every time. Feel free to ask my any questions that you may have.
  4. Keep in mind the reason why certain towers are accepted vs. not is mostly to do with all kinds of things rather than what Sprint wants to do. For instance; permitting, access to the site, access to the correct backhaul and many other factors. The reason why Columbus proper has not been updated is because of the legacy handoff issues. If you are not familiar with these issues, feel free to look around or ask more specific questions. Long story short, our legacy sites do NOT play nice with NV upgraded sites and therefore will cause hard drops from one tower to the next. Trust me, I could not agree more that I want to enjoy LTE where I work (Westerville) and the surrounding areas, but we just have to be patient in this regard. No one knows for sure, but we believe that this will enable the market to "turn on" rapidly. This is NOT official, but would make pretty good sense compared to other Samsung markets.
  5. The most logical answer would be B41, but I do not have confirmation of this. Have you checked out the sponsor map? The Howell Ct site in Newark has been upgraded physically, but not accepted yet. Now that you are a sponsor, these questions should most likely be directed there. We can speak more freely there.
  6. Absolutely. It is there, but for right now it is hiding and only available for a certain few that have made some modifications to their phones. It is coming for all, but we just are not there yet. It is unfortunate that Sensorly does not show different bands, because this is going to cause some series confusion moving forward. This is true of Sensorly on the west side of the city as well on I-70 just inside the 270 loop, on 270 just south of 70 and on Lane right by OSU campus.
  7. B41 is still not officially launched both on the site equipment side as well as the phone side. Dyeager is the only person that has confirmed any sites and he is using an LG G2 with modified band priority. The stock G2 will NOT be able to connect to it. I'm just as confused as you, because from what I understand the HTC One Max should be able to connect to them due to it having a Spark update, however, maybe the store model isn't updated yet? We did have one member get the HTC One Max and he was NOT able to connect to any B41 sites after the update. Long story short, B41 is in the very early stages and until something official is launched, anything we get is gravy.
  8. The LTE you speak of, is in fact B41 per dyeager and his G2. Unfortunately, your GS3 does NOT pick up B41 so that is why you haven't been able to see it. I have the Nexus 5 and it is an EXCELLENT device, as soon as we get the Spark / band priority update it will really be a great phone for the Columbus market.
  9. The 310 / Hazelton site has been upgraded recently to the new equipment. It has NOT been signed off / accepted yet, though . What you saw / pointed out are the RRHs. There are two of them per antenna and the keep to spotting them is looking for the six wires attaching them. They look like "dreadlocks" from Predator, .
  10. I'm trying to better understand the eCSFB / Band 41 issue with the Nexus 5. It appears that the device itself is able to get Band 41, a couple confirmations on this forum to prove it. The reason I'm asking is because in my market we have quite a few confirmed Band 41 sites via an LG G2. Shouldn't this phone be experiencing the same issues as me when it relates to eCSFB? Am I missing something? I understand we should take all B41 connections with a grain of salt because we do not have an official Spark update, I'm just wondering how that would occur. Cannot wait to experience the 60 Mb speeds that show up in Sensorly in areas I can barely use 3g, . Thank you for your help in advance.
  11. Nice work, I'm assuming you will update the spreadsheet with your findings?
  12. Not to put a damper on things, but 800 updates are from a source that reports to S4GRU not nearly as frequently. This doesn't necessarily mean that they completed all of those over the weekend. All in all, progress is progress. Here's to a 100+ site update with 40+ LTE like Utah, !
  13. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but your device is one of the worst rf performers around. That is from experience... After switching to the nexus five my experience with 1900 LTE is night and day. Last thing you wanted to hear, but it isn't all network related.
  14. Just updated to 4.4.2, man when using ART the rebuilding takes FOREVER...
  15. Yes, and no. This tower has some Clear equipment on it. Have you seen some recent activity?
  16. And like that, it is back to normal... I wonder why it is doing that.
  17. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-kJt80PGysog/UqdpkuiSLoI/AAAAAAAAB5E/7fjNDeSAjys/w385-h684-no/2013-12-10 Anyone seen this before? My icon for the microphone is slightly different than usual and I cannot use "OK Google" anymore to open the microphone. Everything else works with Google Search... Pretty weird. I have only experienced this once before and opening / closing the app a couple of times reset it.
  18. Awesome news, I've been checking for updates to no avail here in Ohio...
  19. I was wondering, do you think you could put this in your car? I have heard the magnetic 'bond' is pretty strong, but I was thinking it would be pretty awesome to have this in my car as well.
  20. I didn't hear a word about this... Lame.
  21. Oh, I was hoping for the west side... I do think the other tower will help.
  22. The tower north of Polaris is still not 4G accepted. It is however 3G / 800 accepted. Once that site goes live, it should help the congestion / coverage. Any chance you looked at your engineering screenshots to see your dB? If you were near the northwest side / stores I wouldn't be surprised to get 1 meg.
