  1. Looks like Android Police did a review of the Sprint variant of the Note 3: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/02/galaxy-note-3-deep-dive-review-still-making-every-other-big-phone-look-bad/ Looks like it'll include a SIM slot afterall.
  2. http://news.yahoo.com/new-iphone-users-report-feeling--nausea--and--headaches--101841690.html I haven't updated my iPod Touch to iOS7 yet, so I don't know if this is true, but is anyone feeling these type of side-effects?
  3. No, version 2.0 and 2.5 (latest) are EVDO only. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 4.
  4. Would dumping the SystemUI.apk from the International version of the ROM and enabling the option within your ROM work (...maybe)?
  5. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but I figured I'd try to since this is the ROM I use. So I'm wondering if there is any way to change the WiFi status icon so that it has the up/down arrows as shown in the image here: I have a Note 10.1 that I use that has this feature and I find the feature very useful. I was just wondering if it's something that can be done with the Sprint version of the device or if anyone can point me in the direction to what I'm looking to achieve.
  6. Looks like Android is getting the 3.0 upgrade this week... finally. http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/09/24/ookla-teases-speedtest-3-0-for-android-should-hit-google-play-this-week/
  7. I've just started using Tasker recently to control my Wifi, Mobile Data, and GPS. The GPS part I don't think works properly, but at least the other two switches work. Anyway, since I have my own Airave, I have my own BID# that it broadcasts out. So I use the "Cell Near" profile within "State > Phone". My profile is basically this: If my phone is near CDMA:BID#, then turn on Wifi, turn off Mobile Data, and turn off GPS. If my phone is not near CDMA:BID#, then turn off Wifi, turn on Mobile Data, and turn on GPS. I did this mainly to keep my Wifi turned off when shopping since stores are tracking your shopping habits and paths with their open Wifi access points. I'm not paranoid, but I don't need them to know when I've entered their building to shop.
  8. If you do end up getting the device, hopefully you'll make clean ROMs for it. It needs all help it can get.
  9. I was watching a review for the AT&T version and the reviewer said the Mega had 16GB of internal storage, not 8GB. The reviewer even went to System Settings > Storage to show the viewer. I believe the 8GB specs was from the international variant that was released earlier. I think also you need to compare price too. AT&T sells the Mega for $150 on contract and the Note 3 will be at or around $300. Someone looking to buy the phone outright, the Mega will cost less than $500 ($480 at AT&T), while the Note 3 might hover just over $700 ($725 at AT&T). I might jump on the Mega just to have so I can switch back and forth on with my Note 2 for tri-band LTE tests, then hopefully when my upgrade is ready, the Note 4 will be perfect. 10. To add, with Gaikai service coming in 2014, it sounds like you'll also be able to play the PS1/PS2/PS3 catalog on the PS4, which will also be able to be streamed to the Vita via Remote Play. PS4 is definitely the best value on paper. As for the Xbox One, like many, Xbox 360 was always my first choice in console when it came to big games, and my PS3 would fill in the gaps where the 360 wouldn't get a release. Disappointed they are removing Media Center, since I use that feature ALL the time, but I'm satisfied that they are allowing the removal of Kinect from the system at all times. The DRM thing sounded OK, but I wasn't sold. Just hoping they'll get some good games to get me really excited.
  11. Not sure if it's a real slap to the face of Vita owners, like me, as I'll still be able to play most PS4 games on the handheld, even if I'm not at home or out traveling... as long there is fast enough wifi to use. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 4.
  12. I'm going to be getting both consoles at launch, but last night's Sony conference was very exciting with announcement of the PSVita TV! http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/09/ps-vita-tv-launch-date/ Definitely will be picking up one or two of these so I can game on any of my TV's without having to move the PS4 around. Finally Sony is doing something right with remote play. ...oh and I guess it plays PSVita games and streams video through their content providers (Netflix, Hulu, etc). This thing might end up replacing a Roku, Ouya, and similar devices. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 4.
  13. The image you posted matches what I have on my device. I also run digiblur's ROM. As for screenshots, press the Power & Home key at the same time.
  14. If you truly want faster Internet than 3G and can manage to hold a steady Wimax signal, I'd say sure, go back to the GS2. I used to switch from my Note 2 and GS2 all the time for the same reason. It doesn't cost you to switch phones if it's been activated on the account previously. But now, mainly stick to my Note 2 cause the battery life is a lot better and most places I'm at (work, home, public Wifi, etc) already have Wifi to use. If you're worried about security, setup a VPN... that's what I do. Sure, it'd be nice to listen to online radio or my online music storage using LTE instead of the car radio, but that's just how things are. Born and raised there, you definitely get used to waiting and waiting. If you can't wait it out, then there are other providers that can satisfy that need for LTE. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 4.
  15. Cost (shipping of components isn't cheap and usually comes from the mainland... plus, everything has to go through Oahu ports first before heading to any of the neighbor islands, which adds to the time/cost) , (possible) lack of experienced/trained local contractors (just my guess) , & (most definitely) the red tape to get proper permits. As a business, Sprint needs to make sure the markets with the most subscribers are taken cared of first. Maybe Sprint isn't so popular there... A lot of my family and friends there use Verizon/AT&T. Like I said a few months ago... Hawaii is usually always last to get stores, services and in this case LTE from Sprint. Sure the competition has LTE there, but I'm sure they focused mainly on the mainland first before heading here. At least, quoting Robert, there is Wimax to use in the meantime. If anyone here was expecting a quick LTE expansion there then well... I'd say history is repeating itself as the Wimax launch was sluggish and it looks to have happened again with LTE. Let's hope the quoted Feb 2014, hopefully sooner, is really when things start happening. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 4.
  16. It's probably because people are canceling their orders and going for the $499 bundle where you get a game and a 1YR subscription to PS Plus. You save $10 total, but still worth it if you're going all in for PS4. Edit: Oh and those bundles are Launch Day editions too.
  17. Dear Sony, TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!! Signed, Soon to be Former Xbox Gamer.
  18. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/06/microsoft-details-xbox-one-used-games-always-online Such a shame... Must ping to M$ every 24 hours to play games and used games are restricted.
  19. I'm now getting a prompt to update OTA... I assume I should wait until a new ROM is released? :s Sent from my Rooted Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 2.
  20. Well, I have been using this ROM since the beginning of last month and still love it a lot! I get about about 2-3 days worth of battery life and still runs smoothly. I know MC2 has just been released, so I was wondering if there would be a MC2 version ROM in the near future?
