  1. Looking at the maps it looks like they will help improve density with the legacy Sprint network. Just take a look at Harbor East/Fells Point. With the redevelopment of that area they will need the capacity.
  2. Looking at Tampa permits - looks like the site at HCC (Permit: BLD-15-0439113) should be underway and the DAS at RayJay (Permit: BTR-15-0441423) has passed City inspection as of 8/18. Exciting to see NV1.0 finally edge ever closer to a close in Tampa!
  3. In the District itself, it wasn't always the permits. Otherwise, I would've blasted DCRA with emails cc'ing the council about the hold ups. I have a feeling it was either landlords trying to extort more money or backhaul issues (VZ, sadly, had a great chunk of the initial contracts). Yep, same here. B41 is pretty prevalent in Tysons - even the big, non-Maserati, mall. I've only experienced some pains on the Dulles Toll Road between I-66 and Dolley Madison (123). I kept reporting it and LTE service seems to be slowing coming back even on my RF-challenged Samsung.
  4. I miss the XOHM branding. I always just imagined groups of people with HTC Evos raising their phones in unison humming XOOOHMM XOHMMMM. Much like those aliens did on the simpsons for Microsoft's Zune.
  5. As someone in the DC tech community that corridor has largely died. What remains is mostly government contractors and data centers once you hit the greenway, which is where data centers belong. Although the people of Loudoun County are starting to revolt, so we shall see how long that lasts.
  6. Even then I wonder if there would be enough public outcry after groups point at what is going on in Canada. Masa is right... we still have overpriced crappy service compared to the rest of the modern world. Going to three carriers is not going to help. Plus, what would Fabian do?
  7. Retail is tricky and I've seen this both ways (except at Publix and Whole Foods). A good district manager really can make all the difference. I hope HQ is getting better at sweeping poor retail managers out of the company.
  8. Or large chunks of the Caribbean. It wouldn't surprise me if Digicel/'Insert Random Island' Carrier is trying to get extra sweet rates much like the dying monopoly in the Bahamas.
  9. Did you report the OC issues via Sprint Zone? Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  10. http://wamu.org/news/15/07/27/metro_working_on_deal_with_wireless_carriers_to_end_tunnel_dead_spots I'll believe it when I see it, but hopefully something comes of it.
  11. I bet your signal was just too weak. I've experienced that in the past and it started up again with the last S6e update. While I love B41, I wish my phone would better recognize that the signal is too weak and search for B25/B26.
  12. I had this issue at DCA during my last travel spurt. Sent a note to Boingo customer service who apologized and said they would forward to the right team. I have a feeling there is a just a bandwidth constraint at National in general. No matter which carrier there is just not enough bandwidth to go around for such a dense airport. That said, it is much more efficient space wise than the hell that is Dulles.
  13. Hmmm, I've had the LTE roaming option on my S6Edge since I got the phone. Which phones are seeing the new menu option?
  14. If you have your MSL, you can edit it yourself using the ##DATA# menu. Otherwise, mine updated today on its own. (I manually disabled CA and applied a profile update which re-enabled CA)
  15. Yes, you can add it and it should work. Although it can take up to 24 hours for your sim card to activate if it hasn't been used abroad before. Your phone will be on roaming mode, so dont freak out if all the these arnings pop-up. Make sure you connect to Rogers. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  16. Remember when Frederick was a black hole of 3G? Woof. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
  17. Eh.... and Canada is now on the plan! http://www.sprint.com/landings/international-value-roaming/?ECID=vanity:internationalroaming#!/
  18. I don't believe it is a legacy Sprint site, but it did host Nextel. My legacy Sprint tower (Site ID: WA57XC011) is about 1500 feet southwest at 1120 Vermont Ave NW. That site finally got B25 a few months ago. I assume since it is a nondescript federal office building that slowed things down.
  19. Looks like my local clearwire tower is finally being prepped for conversion! Working on a clearer picture, but permit information is below. 6/4/2015 AN1500122 1230 13TH ST NW Sprint proposes to remove their existing 12 antennas on penthouse wall and replace with 6 new antennas of similar size and weight. All replacement antennas are to be installed on existing Sprint mounting locations that will become vacant once the existing 12 antennas are removed. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
