International roaming in Netherlands
RAvirani replied to tyboxer12's topic in International Networks
You get unlimited data at 2G speeds for free. You can buy high-speed data on a per-day or per-week basis. More info here: https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/services/global-roaming.html Speeds depend on the international carrier's network/coverage. I've personally never had speed issues in Europe.- 5 replies

Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread

2/3/4 definitely. 1 is questionable. 5 would likely have to be redone. -
Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread
RAvirani replied to Nextel49's topic in T-Mobile Merger/5G NR Deployment
A nationwide rollout with what money? Dish has zero wireless customers today to either fund or justify a nationwide rollout. And they have absolutely no relation to the merger. How does the fact that T-Mobile and Sprint want to merge obligate Dish to do anything at all? -
You're phone was not active/authenticated on the network if it said emergency calls only. That being said, the fact that your phone continued to show signal is interesting. It could have just been a software glitch. Or a roaming agreement could be imminent.

Where did this occur? Are you sure your device wasn't just scanning bands? Were you able to pass data? Although Verizon roams on AT&T, AT&T doesn't roam on Verizon as far as I know.

As in an AT&T phone roaming on Verizon?

Found another M-MIMO site: SE03XC055. We might need to setup a map/spreadsheet to start logging these soon.

5G is an SCC, not the PCC. Unless you're able to pull Carrier Aggregation data, it may be tricky to display 5G until the ENDC config allows for NR PCCs.

Sprint VoLTE Discussion Thread Redux
RAvirani replied to lilotimz's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Sprint has done odd things. There is a flag they have implemented (which is per-TAC I believe) that determines whether VoLTE is allowed. This is how they've launched VoLTE in select areas while disallowing it in others. This would cause issues with moving smoothly from T-Mobile VoLTE to Sprint VoLTE. This issue will go away when Sprint launches VoLTE nationwide. Another issue I've noticed on my iPhones is that the data connection usually drops for a few seconds when moving from Sprint to T-Mobile LTE. Since they are RAN sharing by means of MOCN, though, TM/handoff parameters can likely be changed to remedy this. -
To be fair Long Term Evolution wasn't a great name either...

The regular coverage map.
-
It looks like Union Extended LTE has been added to the Coverage Map in Wyoming. It only shows up on the 5G coverage map though...
-
NR is the technical name for 5G. Think WCDMA/UMTS or EVDO for 3G.

That site (SE03XC157) is triband enabled. It was upgraded last year. I suspect the speed increases you're seeing aren't because of any upgrades to that particular site. Rather, the site in the Check Ride Driver Training Services parking lot (SE52XC053) was upgraded from legacy Clear equipment to triband recently. That has taken a lot of load off of surrounding sites and improved coverage greatly in Town Center area.

Which site in Woodinville? Are you referring to the one by the town center (by the AMC, Target, etc)? Yes, all of the towers along Avondale are triband-enabled barring one Clear site. Backhaul has also been upgraded on all of those sites. There is a new site in planning on Avondale between NE 116th Street and NE Novelty Hill Road. Fingers crossed that site gets built!

That 900 MHz spectrum is owned by pdvWireless. That is the 3x3 MHz block of 900 MHz spectrum Sprint sold off.
