  1. So there really is no way to see if your phone is using CA on the 6s?
  2. It turned out mine was the Time Warner Cable Wifi app I had installed over the weekend. Now, anyone know if 5.1 will come anytime soon? I am close to buying the Nexus 6P since this phone has a ton of glitches.
  3. Why are you so bitter about SERO plans? Sprint doesn't seem to have an issue with it if they're still honoring SERO plans, so why do you?
  4. Well, the guy at Apple can go F himself if he thinks you're being picky. You paid good money for your phone, so you should get a good phone that has zero defects on it.
  5. I actually see it. Take it to the Apple Store.
  6. Anyone else seeing their WiFi turning on by itself? This is annoying since driving around town will cause my phone to pick up random xfinity hotspots even when I turn off WiFi. Connection Optomizer has been turned off and its still doing it. Any ideas?
  7. Many others could have done, but didn't. That the thing about marketing; it's seems so simple, yet it's really not. People need to give credit where credit is due. John Legere has done some really good things for T-Mobile and the wireless industry. He has created a competitive market and the recent back and forth iPhone lease specials between Sprint and T-Mobile are proof.
  8. In Houston, that definitely was not the case. Sprint pre-NV and cricket both had congested EVDO networks that had a bunch of sites crawling along with dual up speeds. As far as voice, they were both respectable, but not great.
  9. Will early adopters of LTE like Houston (that do not have spare spectrum for additional CDMA/LTE carriers) also see these radio replacements?
  10. Better question would be why not roll out entirely new maps?
  11. I used to get that same impression from this site as well, but you'll soon understand that a lot of people are just tired of the unfair treatment from media and fanboys towards Sprint. Some of it has been warranted, but a LOT has been just unfair. I have no emotional attachment to Sprint, or any carrier for that matter. I just like to keep up with the technological developments of the wireless industry and the carrier I use. One thing nobody can deny is that no other site comes close to what S4GRU provides for knowledge seekers. Sure, the random John Legere bashing does get old, but to be fair he does come across as an arrogant cunt when he bashes other carriers. Having said that, nobody should deny that he has done some things that have benefited consumers across the board. Like it was stated earlier, I don't believe Sprint would have given us Open World roaming for free had John Legere not done it. John Legere has done good things for this industry and hardcore fanboys of At&t, Verizon or Sprint need to admit that.
  12. PRL just tells your phones which networks it can connect to and in which order of preference. The reason Sprint has different PRLs in different phones has nothing to do with towers, but more with phone capabilities. For example, some PRLs support 1x800, but others won't. This is due to some older phones not having the hardware to access the SMR band.
  13. They definitely tweeked the maps. Sprint Spark is no longer accurate at all, if anything, its very random with it showing excellent coverage in areas that are very poor outdoors. Also, zooming in to street level no longer reveals a difference between Best 4G or Fair 4G. Wimax stayed the same.
  14. But I was told it didn't matter if I was out of contract or not. It's just a new fee.
  15. I called because I'm 15 days from my contract ending on a couple of my lines. I simply called to see if they could just renew me now since one of my phones is on life support. The rep said that since I've been a customer for a long time, they would allow me to do it. That sounded great. But as soon as the rep was going to transfer me to the actual telesales, I was told that my bill would go up 15$ per line that was renewed. When I asked if it was due to us upgrading 15 days early, they said no. The way it was explained to me was that this fee was new for 'anyone' that renewed from here on out and was enacted in order to get people off 2 year agreements. Pretty bad deal if you ask me. I'm hoping this was a mistake on the representative's end and will try again once my contract is up for good.
  16. Mmh. That's extremely odd. I was trying to upgrade 2 lines and was hit by the news from the telesales folks that if I upgraded I would see 15 dollars added every month to each line that used a 2 year renewal. I'm going to go ahead and consider my options if its true since that would basically make this an installment plan in disguise. I'm pretty ticked off because had I known that the 1500 Everything Data plan would see a price hike when using 2 year renewals, I would have opened a Framily plan and bought my phones from other sources a long time ago. I'm now considering my options.
  17. Perfectly understandable. It's one of the only Android phones that hold their value. So how is the experience so far? Does the TouchWiz interface work a lot smoother? Also, you said you did a 2 year agreement on your line. Did you have an extra fee added to your plan because of that?
  18. Picks are in as well. Man, that Oregon - Mich St. has me doubting. Lol at Kansas. That's the only sure game were a non P5 team will beat a P5 team. Also, I just noticed I'm #2 in the leaderboard after week 1. I'm coming for you The_Q!!!
  19. Outside of a custom PRL, you're out of luck. I'd recommend lowering your antenna so the closer US Cellular tower is the only thing it can pick up.
  20. Should have waited for the Nexus. The S6 is worse than the S5 rf wise. Samsung has become too obsessed with being an iPhone that it has hurt their design and features. I'm going to wait until 5.1 is released and then see if some of these issues are resolved. I'm definitely done with Samsung after this phone though. Their updates and bugs are just unacceptable.
  21. Woah, put the koolaid down. 'Disruptor' isnt the word I'd use for the new Apple TV. Sure, it is a nice device, but Apple didn't really introduce anything that isnt already available today. Apple did a good job in bringing a lot of the features found scattered in the market into one device. Unfortunately, their price is slightly higher than what some aftermarket devices go for. With most newer TV sets coming with their own streaming hardware/software integrated already, I think Apple TV will only make its way into hardcore Apple fans. As the owner of a current Apple TV, I just don't see myself upgrading to this new set.
  22. So not enough spectrum for wimax and 2 B41 carriers for NYC, or a hardware limitation in Clear equipment?
  23. Houston got 2nd B41 carriers on old wimax equipment (just as recently as last month some Clear sites were still being lit up). Why wouldn't NY not get a 2nd carrier on old Clear B41 equipment?
