  1. Sprint needed to connect me 4 times and then CHARGED me $12 for a SIM! No credit or free SIM. My old SIM went bad and I had to get a replacement and the new SIM at least fixed the problem. I got no credit and I am a Sprint customer since 1997! I contacted Sprint Customer care via 611. Sprint is fine as long you don't need customer service and yes service has improved and mostly there is no issue with service or my bill that I need to call. I pay my bill on time and never been late yet still connecting you to different people because or telling me that the LG G3 has an internal SIM.
  2. Seriously, T-Mobile reminds me of Trump... Give it a fancy name and sell the same bullshit like the others. Great, now I get a share of T-Mobile, and I have to keep it in THEIR stock account... and for referrals I get more stock, no cash... In other words, T-Mobile gets essetially some broker firm to shell out the cash, as promotion and pretends to be the hero.
  3. I was in San Diego again after a long time last week and I was not really impressed with the speeds. Still had a lot of times 3G on my iPhone 6s and speeds were slow. We traveled from the Airport to Lakeside, and Vijeas (which paid essentially for my trip) and back and along the 52, I was more in 3G as 4G. Sprint really needs B26 running soon because the canyons kill the service.
  4. This should be faster now especially since Telus as killed of Mike (iDen Network in Canada) last January.
  5. Sprint's biggist issue is STILL customer service. I needed a new sim card and they first guy wanted me to drive 35 miles to a store to pick one up. Sorry but Verizon still ships a FREE sim card to you even if you are next to one of their locations. In addition I find most of their foreign call center staff not very well trained. Again, Verizon does a much better job and I never had to call in twice or more times to resolve an issue.
  6. Sprint could do well with the PCS-H block that Dish controls but otherwise Sprint is out. AT&T got their Band 30 coming online, and Verizon has plenty of Spectrum currently used for CDMA and is able to refarm it.
  7. Seriously, people are stupid because TMobile will take the money back on some corner. It's like their "Free" tablet event this weekend. Okay nice but if you look into the fine print it's not free at all and you are on the hook for min. of $240 if you cancel the service before your "term" is up.
  8. I just use Google Voice and send MMS because my phone gets a text message. Just attach the image and you are okay.
  9. This video is a joke and their claim that Sprint is a bad network is based on equipment that is outdated / not supporting CA. Their school is actually in a zone that supports CA and should have gotten a much better download speed.
  10. I have some old Wimax devices that now only support 3G and I get about 1.9 to 2MB down in the East Bay
  11. It looks that Dish Network is now the target of a short sell hedge fund and they launched www.makespectrumgreatagain.com today in an effort to bring the stock price of Dish down and to call attention to Dish's hoarding of spectrum.
  12. And they need serious love from Sprint.
  13. Why is Sprint waiting to finally convert all the old Nextel sites to full NV?
  14. You could pay for Member+ services or select some great plans without signing up for membership.
  15. I I remember that back in 1999/2000, there was a small operator called Richochet, who offered mobile internet at 128KB download speed. They used city light poles and in SoCal I still see the old modems on poles even though the system went belly up many years ago. It sould not be too cost intensive to deploy small sites all over the place.
  16. to make it simple, Sprint could and should cover the countries rural roads with 800 Mhz CDMA and B26 to provide full coverage. This might also reduce the roaming costs paid to other carriers. What would be the max. capacity such setup would be able to handle in terms of bandwith and call / text volume?
  17. Is there a timetable to get rid of the Huawei sites? I know they have to take them down but has there been any progress?
  18. That would be great and I think they could even get away with just deploying LTE on B26 only because in rural areas I don't see super high demand. If they should see high demand, add B25 to the mix. Wish Sprint would finally see Interstates as priority too because that is why a lot of people are not switching because Sprint in their mind set has turned into T-Mobile from 4 years ago.
  19. That is sad and I hope Sprint will be able to cover California better as the other carriers. If you look at the Central California service area, Sprint is mostly along the freeways available while the other three carriers cover even ares between the I-5 and Hyw-1 (PCH)
  20. Yes but MetroPCS is not selling the whole picture. Their 1GB cap is gone fast and after that people are asked to pay money for additional high speed data. Subsequently they seem to be cheap on the surface but in reality will drain your wallet.
  21. I have not seen any B41 Clearwire site in the Bay Area going B41^2 at all. I see plenty of Sprint B41^3 at work.
  22. Hey for the small fee they charge no complains. I have so many old phones active for testing. But the 5/5/5 plan is just great. Voice quality is sometimes not 100% and you can't dial +1 style numbers unless you activate roaming etc.
  23. I think you may be mistaken but I think there is a swap of spectrum to better align the bands in the works. But Sprint should have enought B41 available to cover the market if they start deploying small cells.
  24. Its progress and Sprint still has plenty of work to get the market fully ready for prime time
