  1. It's like Las Vegas were Clear never provided B41 service and Sprint runs them all. WiMax is still alive for 88 more days before we see the antennas being pulled and replaced,
  2. Correct and I think this will be a very good solution for a mobile office. I hate to sign a long term contract with the Cable company and speed is not too important for emails and attachment but I am doing more than 5GB. I used to run about 30GB on Clear, most usage during the night when we get data from the remote sites for processing.
  3. All Clear towers can be remotely serviced and and powered down. Clear devices go straight to a Clear splash page asking for payment, but there is no plan available anymore. This morning even my FreedomPOP Photon was redirected to a splash page. Same here, but there is no plan so you can't pay it. Phones still work and 4G is working very nicely. This reminds me of the early days,
  4. I have a bunch of FreedomPOP phones running and all still enjoy WiMax speeds of not less then 10MB down but mostly reaching up to 12-13MB! down. I have not seen these speeds since 2010 and speeds used to be around 5-6MB which was still good for my use Not sure about this, because even my wife, who is not a tech blog reader told me about this. After the bad press with the Unlimited Starter Plan, she feels like that Sprint is a bad company.
  5. My FreedomPOP Hotspot is still running just fine and I will check if they still receive usage updates.
  6. My Clear service went finally offline at 10:51 AM PST. RIP
  7. Regardless what the outcome will be, Sprint lost again because they get the bad press. Not really something you need if you're in a turn-around situation. Why would people believe you have such a great network with more capacity as all the other carriers when you cut off school for using the network? I'm sure Sprint could provide unlimited service with caps, because you don't need 60MB down for Google or do your homework. 10MB work just fine and that was what Clearwire offered at best (although I am still running 12MB down on my Clear Hub this morning). Give them unlimited, cap the speed to what Clear offered and show that your network can handle the traffic. In addition just allow B41 traffic and no access to B25/26 because these bands are not part of the EBS spectrum.
  8. I am using a Clear Hub and a Clearspot and both are still working and speeds are fantastic at around 12MB down. I finally have my OWN tower LOL Orange County is still running too I guess they will keep the remaining accounts open or running until its over. Why do the work and sort through all the accounts that remain.
  9. Clearwire only build some protection sites and I have not seen PR mentioned in the court order so I am sure these sites will be turned off ASAP
  10. I have a Clearwire serviced Clear account and I am currious if they leave us on air without charging or will kill off the accounts. Usually they ran billing at 3am in the morning (PST)
  11. I feel that the 6s is handling data not as nice as my old iphone 6. Not sure why but it seems slower and even close to a tower, I get slow speeds.
  12. They should keep the lights on for another three months for everyone, why not let Clearwire Customer who still run the equipment pay for it. Bring in some revenue.
  13. So MVNO accounts should be able to stay on WiMax. Well let's see how FreedomPOP be able to keep the service running?
  14. So Clear will kill all accounts tonight as planned or will customers in the areas remain on the network?
  15. I hope it's not a bait and switch offer because it's prepaid!
  16. I have a couple of hotspots running and speeds are arounf 12MB down now vs 5MB just a few months ago.
  17. I drove yesterday between Las Vegas and Los Angeles and T-Mobile may cover more in their maps with LTE as actually is being covered. Parts are just HSPA+ and not as promissed LTE on I-15. Even some Edge is still available before Barstow!
  18. Not sure but Sprint's speeds in San Jose have gone down a lot because I was able to 70MB down before and now it's more like 5-10MB and uploads have dropped to 2MB
  19. I would love to see Sprint using the Clear style coverage maps because the current one is way to small!
  20. I hope Sprint is upping the backhaul soon. I am in Las Vegas tonight and I can't find any CA and speeds top out at max 30MB down but in some areas B41 seems to be very overloaded and I get about 3-4MB down.
  21. I have Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon and I have to agree that T-Mobile in my metro area is getting worse by the day. There is no consistancy in network speed with T-Mo and I see more and more 4G on my iPhone 6s Plus in areas that used to show LTE. Verizon still works well and Sprint starts to kill them all in terms in speed and service.
  22. I have been trying to register and there was no luck getting past the first screen. There was an error came up a lot
  23. WiMax speeds are great currently and the tower that I am using was congested but it seems to "clear" up and I am pulling 10MB down. Not bad for the old network, up from 5-6MB down before.
  24. So it could be a software update eventually?
