  1. That must have been done in the last couple of weeks because last time there was nothing but 1x or 3G in the transbay tunnel. I hope Sprint gets the rest up and running soon.
  2. I bounce between 3xB41, 2xB41 and B25/26 on my way to and from work every day but B41 is getting better in the East Bay each week. Yesterday I noticed another Sprint site that used to be a C.earwire site and it came online straight 3xB41. T-Mobile is the flashy kid, that seems to offer something new but most people are not looking past the hype which is selling the same BS as all the other in a new packaging. I have never seen 16MB down, the max I had in SoCal was 12-13MB down on WiMax. I have a Clearwire site directly across the street, that was shortly B41 but shut down last year.
  3. I think service in San Jose is not bad at all unless you have a single band device because of some weak spots in downtown. I hope all the Clearwire sites get replaced soon and that should solve the problems. Not sure but I saw my iPhone is several parts of town going from LTE to 3G.
  4. 600 Mhz will not solve all problems and it's my understanding that Sprint's plan is to add additional sites (B41) to diversify the network. Time will tell but if the B41 build out is done right, transforming B41 for LTE into a main band, while keeping B25/B26 as reserves, it would be strong enough to handle the traffic.
  5. I noticed some large antennas on the parking lot across the street from the terminal, but wasn't able to see who runs them. In terms of WiFi, I don't like to use public networks for security reasons. I'm surprised that Sprint has not been more aggressive to convert former WiMax sites to full CDMA/LTE sites. The 3G sites where in the middle of the city like around the LATTC
  6. I was in LA yesterday and I noticed that my iPhone 6s dropped a lot of times into 3G even within LTE areas that should have great coverage. I saw this as well at LAX (Terminal 3) where I was stuck on 1x for some time. LA needs more sites and B26 ugently.
  7. T-Mobile is a lot of hype because the network is by a long shot not at paar with Verizon. I have Verizon for 20 years and there is not a lot in this country where you get no LTE. With TMobile, I still see Edge plenty of times when driving across California.
  8. I noticed that along the 87 in DTSJ single band devices have a hard time staying on LTE while b41 is working overtime. Also noticed that there seems to be work scheduled at several Sprint towers as cherry pickers are parked next to some towers. I hope the Clearwire sites are going to be replaced soon because they can't handle any CA.
  9. It's a SIM card issue and I have seen it several times on 1gen cards. The only Verizon device that failed to get anything done after some time (with exception of data) was my old Thunderbold.
  10. I see all bands during the day in my office, depending on the tower load and I hope the addition of additional B41 carriers will stop me from being dropped to B25/B26 at times.
  11. I noticed that LTE is not very great inside of some of the Fremont Street casinos (West). El Cortez is actually very good. WiMax used to be better as Sprint's own 3G coverage and I hope they will convert some of the sites to full builds soon. Service was much better and 2CA was working great. Just the backhaul seems to be slow (still) in Las Vegas. I was only able to get 30MB down most of the time and not really able to see higher speeds. The Airport C-Gates are very nicely covered with DAS but the speeds are not great at times. I was bouncing in and out of B41 because the DAS is currently B25 only.
  12. Central Hall was not very well covered but South Hall (upper/lower) were okay with exception to one day were the network was down. The Sands has been bad but not only for Sprint. But I noticed a solid 3G signal in the underground parking garage.
  13. It was a hit and miss at times before and I hope they spend some money to fix the dead spots
  14. What phone are you using? I noticed this before on my G3 a lot too but the iPhone 6s seems to better reception. There is a small site at the Intersection of LV Blvd./Tropicana That is what I usually see too. I will be next week in Las Vegas at the convention center and lets see what improvements can be found
  15. My phone (S7) is able to handle the carriers and as of today, it's a lot more stable while connecting.
  16. Is there any other :-) I noticed that I bounce between 2CA and 3CA and I'm not sure why. At times there is just 1 carrier and it bounces to 2CA. I guess it's still a work in progress.
  17. I got my taste of the third carrier in Hayward, CA today. Not bad but the speeds are not much improved yet. I hope Sprint gets backhaul upgraded soon.
  18. I'm going to enjoy Wimax for the last time in Miami, FL. Just two more days and the network is history.
  19. I have the 1800/1800/1800 3G plan on a Moto E (2nd gen) and I got 3G speeds in the Bay Area between 700-2.1MB down. Very nice so far to see that the old 3G network is working again.
  20. FreedomPOP's customer "service" stands for some call center with script readers. No real technical help to be expected.
  21. So what makes them so special to Verizon and AT&T and why is Sprint not using them? Wasn't NV1.0 all about fiber directly up the tower?
