  1. Isn't B41 a testament to Dan Hesse's forward thinking? Son's big help is undoing the "we suck" attitude.
  2. I agree with everything except quad HD. I think the whole quad HD thing is very overrun rated for such a small device and I'd prefer battery life over any negligible screen size changes especially if it comes also with a performance hit.
  3. And San Bernardino uses enough 800Mhz to ensure that half of California and almost the entire population of Nevada can't use it! Yay for all the 100 desert folks in that County (I know this is a gross understatement of the pop. but it sure feels this way when you drive through it). Sorry... Couldn't resist.
  4. Makes me wonder if the sprint activity on a close by tower was actually to hook up B26 so that they could be ready to go once the San Bernardino issue is taken care of.
  5. Does anyone have a time-line on when MIMO/8T8R will be turned on? I'm much more excited about this than carrier aggregation.
  6. Loving the new Android M developer preview. I flashed my Nexus 5 and my battery life has went up dramatically. Before I had some sort of Google play services bug that made it so I had to charge twice a day to this:
  7. Possible Sprint activity at the mobile station at the corner of Aliso Creek Road and Aliso Viejo Parkway. There are scaffolding on the antennas. This is strange though as the B41 antennas got installed months ago but weren't turned on. Hopefully this time they finish the job.
  8. It may be the placebo affect but I believe battery life on wifi is much improved.
  9. Great news if others confirm. What are other people seeing?
  10. If they do, I hope Sprint pays to lock up that technology to them. Now That would be a competitive advantage.
  11. Only the people who don't actually work hard actually view the releases on the internal websites. Employees should not be held accountable for bad management. Good management would have had a robust change management plan with multiple internal announcements, training, and us toner service guides. This is basic management 101.
  12. I blame review sites too. They either don't want to upset the device manufacturer because they get free phones, they don't want to upset anyone, or they are stupid themselves. There are actually review sites with battery tests that show the Galaxy S6 as the best performing phone out there.... Dumb
  13. Although I am frustrated with the whole IBEZ thing and the seemingly slow rollout of LTE in Cali compared to the rest of the US, spark in the terms of the coverage maps typically refers to B41 and not B26.
  14. I was one of those who had the phone on pre-order and backed out due to the rf issues that AJ brought to the open (thank you) and after playing with it in the store and noticed it got really hot and lost like 8% I battery life after just loading up YouTube for a couple minutes.
  15. I thought optimizing was primarily about optimizing range and less so speed. If you are getting such a low throughput, I would say it has too much range or not enough brandwith.
  16. Had the S6 edge on pre-order but decided to not pick it up. I am trying to upgrade my Nexus 5 and although there are a LOT of things to still like about it, the camera is laughable, the battery life is terrible, and google still doesn't have split screen multitasking. The S6 has an awesome camera and I love their mobile payment solution (coming soon), but their battery life is bad, their rf performance seems lacking (more to come on this), their touchwiz skin with Flipboard integration is slow and ugly, the design is not comfortable to hold and, unless you get the edge, slightly dated looking in my opinion. The G4 on the other hand looks really nice in my opinion (except the leather backs which are fugly). It seems it will be very comfortable to hold. The camera appears to be better at least on paper. There is a large battery which is removable and expandable memory. On the negative, we still don't know about rf performance, how the speaker will sound, the CPU performance, etc. Because I don't want to live with regret, I decided to wait and forgo my free wireless samsung charger.
  17. Does the S6 have wifi calling activated on Sprint?
  18. What is the Sprint device return policy.... 14 days? And if so, if you renewed your contract can you unrenew it?
  19. I've noticed that AT&T is starting to show issues on RootMetrics. If Sprint continues to go to better while holding its price as a value carrier, I expect some good things. Although partially staged, I showed up my friends on Verizon and Tmobile at their house as I got access to B41 on their patio. Things such as this will change people's opinion of Sprint.
  20. Did they announce a time line for LTE-advanced? It seems odd that I thought the whole country was more weeks away and Sprint's silence probably means months away in Chicago.
  21. My pick up date from Best Buy is April 10. I was just hoping that someone used a demo unit which was connected to the Sprint network and compared it side by side with their current device.
  22. Has anyone had the chance to compare rf performance yet? All the units I found only had wifi and no cellular service activated.
  23. I just pre-ordered the Galaxy S6 Edge as well from Best Buy. I am having second thoughts because I looked at other current flagships such as the G3 and S5 and they were being sold at $1 for a 2 year contract. Typically, how long do these phones take to drop from their $200 launch price down to cheaper prices? I ask because although I am an early adopter, I can wait around 3-4 months for a phone to drop $100 if that is indeed the case.
