  1. My preliminary observation on B25 LTE connectivity is that is doesn't hold on quite as good. I generally got 4g in the 2nd floor of my house for a few minutes, and now it goes straight to 3g after I un-airplane my phone. This could be sprint tweaking though. I do notice my phone doesn't get stuck in 1x mode as often though.
  2. The new version of Android L fixed my B41 upload problem! Now I can use B41. I got 50 mbps download at John Wayne Airport in OC. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I installed it one my phone and my wife's phone over the old developer preview. Much improved! I'm excited to go try out B41 and see if the upload now works. I've never got higher than 0.00 on B41 and I hope it isn't my phone and was just the old android L. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Just saw the new maps for OC and all I can say is impressive! We must be one of the counties that the new CEO is focusing on! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. I read that too quick and thought you were referring to network vision. Agree though that this could have been a better launch for the phone. I personally still can't get myself to buy locked phones anymore.
  6. Excellent comment. Especially with B26, the cost is very minimal. Now that Sprint just started 8t8r,things should ramp up some more. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. This article, although probably BS, is consistent with the trend I see in SoCal. Outside of this area, Sprint seems like they are beginning to rock it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I vote for keeping Sprint! It's pretty obvious that Sprint is chugging along pretty quickly with Hawaii since they've started a couple months back. The prices are right and B41 and B26 are likely just on the horizon. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. I tired using the new Google play store apk on Android L and it crashes all the time. Did anyone else experience this issue? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. One thing to note though, Tmobile may be good in California (in the cities) , but when outside cities or in the rest of the US, TMO is Swiss cheese. A quick look at sensorly will show that. I agree that OC for Sprint is not quite there yet (but I have noticed better results than you) but I have traveled to NC, TX, and San Francisco over the past week and my experience was significantly improved. B41 will help over the coming months, but B26 late next year will be a Godsend. I did note that your desk has a good signal strength so I would expect that once LTE is launched, you will easily achieve usable 4g. Unfortunately for me, I work at the nuclear plant near OC so I only ever expect roaming. Had I had T-Mobile though, I would have no service because their roaming deals suck.
  11. Android L hates a lot of things. It sucks a new OS update forces developers to "fix" their apps. Regardless, I'm excited for the fix for L and for the update you describe. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. I have the Nexus 5 with Android L. Whenever I get B41,no matter the signal strength, it is fairly useless as the upload is around 0. Is anyone else having this issue? Is it an Android L bug for now? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. Sprint proposes to modify its wireless telecommunications facility located at Tecalote Drive. Lot 7 (Pala Mesa C. Club), Fallbrook, CA 92028. The modification consists of adding 4 panel antennas to the existing 2 antennas to bring the total antenna count back up to the 6 antennas entitled. Sprint also proposes to add 4 RRHs. (1) 2' MW dish, 1 equipment cabinet, and 1 Top Hat cabinet extension I noticed this today while performing a permit search. Is it rare that they are installing a microwave dish? Is this possibly a new direction for Sprint if fiber is hard to come by? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. Kind of sad that the permits dried up. I wish I could cancel the ones in the middle of nowhere since I'm sure one B25 carrier could manage their one transient customer. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. I was surprised he didn't mention anything about B26. Also, other than his change to focus on specific sites that have the worst performing, it sounded like he wanted to focus on some cities for short term wins. This seems to indicate cities like Chicago would fit in thus list that have all three bands and second carriers activated so they can add customers. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Huh... My home tower on 3g is receiving it's highest data speeds to data. It is now 59 ms 1.36 down and 0.86 up which is up from 131 ms 0.31 down 0.10 up. Very glad to see this as this is a lot more usable if I get drop off 4g on my drive. I would attach photos but that function doesn't work on Android L and Tapatalk. 17. Although I do agree that we need 800 LTE, all the sites surrounding disneyland have not yet been upgraded to NV and Band 41 is not yet fully activated. Once those things are addressed, I'm sure your experience will be a lot better. Your experience in California Adventure should be much better than the disneyland side.
  18. I knew about this which is why I specifically asked about the charge and he said it doesn't apply unless I get a subsidized phone during that period. I hope he is right or I may have to call Sprint and try and work it out.
  19. I just switched to the new $60 plan even though I still have about 3-4 months left on my contract. The employer discount plan applies to the $30 data portion. I'm a happy camper. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. This could be the reason: http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/t-mobile-confirms-deployment-4x2-mimo-boost-lte-network-performance/2014-04-25'> http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/t-mobile-confirms-deployment-4x2-mimo-boost-lte-network-performance/2014-04-25
  21. True, but without NV activity, this 1x is typically faster than Sprint. I death grip my phone or hide it under my desk so I can roam and actually use it at work. Same thing with edge. On the way to vegas, the only way to listen to my podcasts is to use edge vice non-upgraded sprint network. Once Sprint performs upgrades though, I am a very happy camper. Most of the remaining upgrades are roads that connect cities.
  22. When is the above expected to occur? This is very exciting to me. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. I thought the Dan Hesse commercials were good but at the wrong time. It was near the financial crisis and he acted like the wealthy 1%. Even the location was filmed in an area that looked like NYC which reminds people of wall Street. As a side note, I have no problem with people who make money, but think the vast majority of Sprint customers might. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. I wish Sprint came out with some non-unlimited plans but have no overages, just slow your data. For example, when I told my wife who is on Tmobile about Sprint's new unlimited plan for $60, her response was, that's $10 more than my unlimited plan. She said that because she says all Tmobile plans are unlimited, just super slow when you exceed your data cap. I don't need unlimited myself, but I would never go to a plan with overages. Therefore, I don't compare Sprint's $60 plan with T-Mobile's $80 either. I compare it to a non-unlimited plan on TMO. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  25. Can you remind me how you know you are on a second carrier of B25? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
