  1. What I would do is backup the current ROM you are using. Then flash a stock rooted ROM back to your device, to see if its still having the same issue. Right now I'm running Decks CM10 and since LTE is sparse right now I'm wondering how we know if LTE is working on these custom ROMs the way it should..
  2. Not surprising right? Don't you guys have the Superbowl this year? I would expect the area around the stadium to be stacked with LTE in the next few months..
  3. There is a reason that Verizon never contested the merger of T-Mobile and AT&T and that was so they could get their hands on Sprint once the dust settled. I don't put it past them to use any method available to make Sprint look like a 3rd rate carrier and possibly pick them up on the cheap if it came to that. I want to email the author and ask him who paid for the study but I'm sure he won't answer..
  4. I'm always suspect of articles like this for example, "AFE is offering its detailed findings and methodologies in a comprehensive report which is available for sale to interested parties and industry participants" Who would be buying this info and for what reason? It really looks like someone already paid them to do this to give Sprint a black eye. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the other carriers commisioned this little "study"
  5. " Combining T-Mobile and MetroPCS’ complementary spectrum to provide greater network coverage, deeper LTE network deployment and a path to at least 20x20 MHz of 4G LTE in many areas. Existing MetroPCS customers will be migrated to a common LTE-based network as they upgrade their handsets" Why does a MetroPCS customer have to upgrade a handset? There is no incentive to do so unless you lose yours. This really sounds like a mess for T-Mobile. I'm sure Sprint and other carriers have numbers on how often a customer upgrades their phones, but I can't imagine that MetroPCS customers come close while paying full price for top of the line handsets.

  11. Speaking of that Site. I drove by today and there was a crew on that pole again. I thought it was the same crew but these guys seemed to be all dressed alike in red shirts. The one I saw in Gulfport were not dressed like that and the one I saw a week ago were not dressed in red. They also seemed to be working on the Site below the one I saw last week.
  12. Try not to crash into each other racing to tower guys
  13. So I have been keeping tabs on the coverage maps on Sensorly and its actually pretty cool to see the network grow even if I'm not seeing it myself..Anyone just map hawking the site watching LTE just expand? I noticed today that MA is getting expanded pretty quickly and speading into NH I also wish I had taken screen shots and done comparisons over time. wish actually Sensorly did that with an option of time lapse..
  14. Mike you must have been at the monopole near the Walmart right?, AT&T right now is killing this area with improvements or upgrades..
  15. When Sprint releases the next update to actually fix the issue, only then I believe will you be able to find a customer ROM that has those changes merged into it shortly after. BTW I run a customer ROM not because I need too but because I'm not a fan of Sense. Right now I'm runnimg CM10 and it is just a better experience than Sense.
  16. I guess what I meant was in Sprint Non LTE areas.. For example I have 2 Co workers that both have the SG3 and she can't believe how slow her Sprint model is to my friends AT&T model. When you are pushing the same phone its hard to explain that. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  17. So does it stay like that until roll out? And you have seen any tower work in your area? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  18. I'm upset I didn't read this post earlier than now. I think everyone has a good point. I especially thought that the Tragedy of the Commons was a great lesson and maybe something to look at. If Sprint were to say in a public forum that they would keep unlimited data at the price its currently at if they could off load usage to home networks and if they could monitor that was being done that would make me more likely to off load my usage. Unfortunately, we don't have that and it seems like the exact opposite may be done with Sprint making public statements indicating that they would possibly change the current structure. I'm not one of the people that abuses the network but at the same time when I think about it will switch to wifi when at home (only at home) that is only because my speeds are so bad though. Not sure what I will do when LTE finally comes. I will likely use my phone in the same way.. Streaming music at my desk, to and from work and checking my social networks thru the day. I would still say less than 5GB per month. Bottom line Sprint will raise prices and or get rid of unlimited data and will give some excuse about needing to keep up with user demand. Until someone can show me that somehow the percentage of abusers is overwhelming the network I will never believe it anyway. That goes for all the carriers Sent from my EVO LTE without LTE

  20. So to see that do you randomly happen to look at your connection screen while connected? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  21. I'm not sure he's that far off with that statement though. Verizon has done a good job marketing LTE as something you need to have. With Sprint just hitting its stride with the network improvements and with LTE it will be hard for a Sprint and Verizon or AT&T customer to stand side by side with the same phone and not expect the same performance. 24. The problem is what if its not a software issue like we all think? What if its hardware and 6 months down the line when the phone is out of warranty LTE is out there enough for people to actually see the problem? What recourse will we have then?
