  1. After updating to 4.3, one thing I've noticed is when you open a folder on a homescreen, it stays open even after you hit the home button to go back to the homescreen. I think it was when they pushed the last update (when we got the premium suite) they fixed that issued. Now it seems it's back again. Hopefully they'll fix that again as it's pretty annoying.
  2. Looks like today and tomorrow, they are also giving 10% back in points, so that's pretty cool too. I ordered yesterday though so I guess I missed out on that promotion.
  3. Yeah, I paid $150 for mine. It might be a supply/demand thing. It seems like they had quite a bit of interest in these. Sprint would probably sell a lot more if they offered a lower plan than just 3GB. If they offered a 2GB for $20 just like Freedompop, I probably would've just went with Sprint. I know you can make your phone a hotspot for $20 but I don't like how all data used, even on your phone while the hotspot is active, counts toward the 2GB.
  4. I read recently where Onstar is transitioning new vehicles over to AT&T. Old subscribers would continue to use Verizon due to not being compatible with GSM. I did have it in my wife's car but canceled it after she got a job much closer to home and her commute went from 3 hours a day to 5 minutes.
  5. I just purchased the galaxy gear on rakuten.com (formerly buy.com). They have the black band version (not the other colors) on sale for $250. I had a bunch of super points which saved me a bunch of money too. Just wanted to pass it on in case anyone was looking for the watch but didn't want to spend $300 on it. See link below. Just make sure you choose the jet black version to get the discount. The sale is for this weekend only. http://www.rakuten.com/prod/samsung-sm-v700-wrist-watch-digital-quartz/257952682.html
  6. http://www.freedompop.com/devices/freedom-spot-lte Finally found it. Use this link.
  7. I think you have to type the direct website of freedompop.com/lte if my memory serves me correct. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  8. Just click on purchase anyway. It'll let you buy the LTE one. It said my area didn't have LTE, which it does, so I hit purchase anyway, and it let it go through. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  9. If anybody in the Shentel market has noticed, the Sprint stores have signs up for their black Friday promotion which gives you 2 months free. I just went on a website they have for the promotion and if you read the fine print, the 2 months free also applies to upgrades. See the site below. It might be time to use the upgrade if you have one. I, unfortunately, don't have an upgrade until July. http://unlimityourdata.com Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  10. Yeah, I remember reading that in their last quarterly report. They made it sound like it wouldn't be hard to obtain the change in the agreement with Sprint. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  11. A Sprint (Shentel) rep just told me that today when I was in my local Sprint store. They received an email today stating exactly what you just said. Now hopefully they'll start working on 800 LTE and 2600 LTE. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  12. Nobody has posted in here for a while but I've had the Freedompop Mifi 500 LTE for a month now and it's working well. I did miss the cutoff for downgrading so I'm on the 2GB plan for another month. I plan on downgrading to the 500MB LTE/3G plan ($3.99) and I also have the data rollover option ($3.99) so for $8 a month having some data when I'm out of the house for my Note 8, it's not a bad deal. I've never had any prepaid phones or hotspots before so maybe this is true in other cases but I didn't get charged any taxes. I'm not sure why but it sounds good to me. PSA: The data rollover will let you rollover up to 500MB per month and you can "store" up to 20GB of data total.
  13. I checked on a different site and it said 800 but I forgot that's how 850 was referred to up until recently. I stand corrected. It's still a decent phone even though it only uses 1900 Mhz on Sprint. It does make sense now though why my GS3 pulls a better voice signal in fringe areas, since I have 1x800 in my area.
  14. According to the phone's spec, the Sanyo Taho has 1900 and 800 Mhz. I've personally used this as my work phone for almost 3 years now. It seems to work well for a flip phone. Sprint no longer sells it but you can probably still find it somewhere on the internet. It's a rugged phone and the battery lasts me at least a week between charges.
  15. OK, fair enough. I just don't remember any previous updates taking this long but maybe we always got lucky before. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  16. My wife has an S4 but still hasn't received the OTA update. Any idea why it hasn't gone out to everyone yet? It's been over a week. It seems like most updates only take a few days to roll out to everyone.
  17. Thanks, one more question... When you buy a phone from the play store, will sprint still charge an activation fee on it?
  18. I looked through the thread and I don't think anyone has asked this but I have been using Google Play gift cards to pay for apps and such. Can you also use the gift cards on hardware such as the Nexus 5? I have almost $50 in my play store account and want to make sure I can use that if I decide to purchase the phone. Thanks
  19. If you decide to sell it for the 16GB price, I'd be interested. PM me if you do.
  20. I wasn't sure if they would deploy LTE 800 here so thanks for clarifying that. The coverage in rural areas where I live should greatly improve. Hopefully the contract will be amended to allow for 2.5. The speeds will be impressive. Thanks a lot for posting it. Now if only Shentel would upgrade their home county of Shenandoah with something more than dsl and I'd be impressed, especially considering the crazy prices we pay for the service. We have no other wired internet options here, unfortunately.
  21. It must be different in Shentel territory in VA. I have 800mhz everywhere around here. It must prioritize 800 over 1900 in my area. Either way, as long as you are getting a signal, that's the main thing.
  22. Not really related to the post but it's interesting the "Shentel" market didn't make the map. We're just a white spot with no label even though Shentel really has done a great job with upgrading most of their towers to LTE and 1x800. I'm guessing the map came from Sprint so I'm curious as to why that market was left off of it.
  23. This one is at a library/community center. With Fort Valley being surrounded by National Forest, I'm thinking they didn't want an "ugly tower" ruining the view. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
  24. Has anybody ever seen one of these before? It's a sprint LTE tower with 1900 mhz voice. It's one of the few Shentel hasn't added 800 mhz voice yet. It's located in Fort Valley, VA. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.
