    Wifi calling

Just make sure you have wifi calling on your account. That seems to solve the issue for most people. I have the S4T with the wifi calling update and have never been able to get it to work despite 3 factory resets, and doing just about everything else anyone can come up with to try to get it to work. When I click on wifi calling, it goes to a self service screen, I hit "proceed" and then it tells me the activation cannot be completed over the phone and to take the phone to a Sprint store or to call customer service. I never even get to the point to accept the terms and conditions. It's been frustrating. I'm waiting on a call from an upper level tech support person. I was told it could take 72 hours for a call back. I'm not holding my breath though. Every time a company ever says they will call back, they pretty much never do. I'll post back if Sprint ever figures out why it's not working on my phone.
  2. I held onto the signal for a good distance farther than with B25. There is a lot of terrain in that area but I still held the signal far enough to transfer over to a B25 tower where I would have gone to 3G in the past. I guess that's the idea of it all and it seems to work well. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  3. More specifically, I picked up B26 in the Columbia Furnace area and in the Conicville area, for those who may be local. This would have been on 2 different towers. I'll post back if I find it anywhere else. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  4. 19, 1A, and 1B. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  5. I just picked up B26 in the Edinburg, VA area. I also got 19 off one sector. I'll check the other 2 sectors here shortly. Looks like they may have started lighting things up today. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  6. That worked. I see one sector ends in 19. Any chance you got the other 2 sectors? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  7. Have you figured out what the three sets of the last 2 characters of the GCI is when on B26? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  8. I was in Harrisonburg VA yesterday and they had the second carrier live on B25. I wonder how much of Shentel's footprint is left to turn on the second carrier? Once they get B26 live, they will will 3 carriers of 5+5. Not too shabby. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  9. That's pretty cool. I remember a few years ago when friends of mine were at the Blossom and couldn't even get a text msg to go through for hours. I guess Sprint/Shentel has come a long way since then. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  10. I'm showing as being on the 2nd pcs carrier when I took this screen shot. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  11. The easiest way to look for Shentel's second pcs carrier is to install the signal check app and look for a GCI ending in 09, 0A, or 0B. The original carrier ends in 01, 02, and 03. My phone jumps between the 2 carriers but if you keep checking, you'll eventually see both, if it's active in your area. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  12. Sprint updated the PRLs a couple months ago. The PRLs used to scan 1x800 first, now they scan 1x1900 first. That could be why you aren't seeing it as much as you did before. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  13. Once the other 2 bands come online, it'll help offload the stress off of B25. Also, in my area, Shentel has added a 2nd carrier on B25, which has greatly helped speeds here. My speeds jumped from about 8-10 down to almost 20 down since that happened. Not sure if they enabled the 2nd B25 carrier in your area though. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  14. Not sure what you mean by the service "going downhill" but Shentel has one of the best built areas of the entire Sprint network. Band 25 LTE is on about 95+% of their towers and Band 26 and 41 LTE is coming, just no definitive time frame. If you want to see the network maps, you need to become a sponsor or premier sponsor. 15. I didn't install the update through Kies. I got the OTA update. Sent from my Galaxy Note 8.0
  16. I read there may be a way to reinstall the update through Kies but I can't figure out a way to do it. The factory reset doesn't take it back to before the update. Sent from my Galaxy Note 8.0
  17. I tried to get it working from scratch. I had nothing installed after the factory reset when I tried it this time and it still didn't work. There has to be something else going on other than app incompatibility. Sent from my Galaxy Note 8.0
  18. Tried this earlier today. In fact, I did it twice. Still couldn't get it to work. It seems I'm not the only one having a problem either. There's others on the sprint forums having the same issues. Hopefully a fix will come soon. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  19. I'll have to try it another day when I have time. I'll post back when I try it. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

  21. 14.01 - I think that's what you're asking. It's to the right of the bar code for the DEC. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  22. It worked up until the update. I got it on eBay but it was brand new, in a sealed box. The manager at the Sprint store said he's seen several phones lately that the same thing happened with Sprint Zone. Something with this update really messed with my phone. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  23. Other than wifi calling not working for me, I also noticed the Sprint Zone app is messed up. It shows up as Mobile Zone with an Android character. When I click on it, it doesn't do anything either. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  24. They tried the router in the store and it didn't work there either. I can't even get to the screen to accept the terms and conditions. I doubt it even matters at that point. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  25. The store and Sprint customer service confirmed it's active on my account. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
