I pre-ordered last week. I paid $50 and they gave me a $50 gift card. I was told to bring the $50 gift card back with me on release day when I pick it up. That $50 will be applied to the cost. I was also told to bring in my old smart phone and would get $200 credit applied to the cost. I'm keeping my old phone so I picked up a Casio G'z One Commando 4G for super cheap to satisfy the promotion. Since Sprint just lowered the cost to $300 on contract, I should only have to pay $50 plus tax on release day because of already having the $50 gift card. My understanding is this promotion can only be applied to the cost of the phone if you are getting it on contract or buying it full price. If you are getting it through Easy Pay (or whatever Sprint calls it) you can't use any Best Buy gift cards toward the cost of the phone.

I got the same msg through sprint zone too so I guess their usage server is offline right now. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I'm in no way saying I want the edge but some may have (and did) say the Note made no sense a few years back too. New technology usually takes a little while for the public to figure out a need or use for it. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

After a little delay for a freak power outage, I got my Note 4 pre-ordered at Best Buy. The guy helping me was clueless about the $200 gift card promo but said to just bring in the old phone when I pick up the note and they would figure it out then. Gotta love when the customer knows more than the salesman. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I also pre-ordered a Spigen "glas.tr" glass screen protector through Amazon. It's regular price is $40. Through Amazon, they are selling it at a pre-order price of $20 with shipping. Seems like a good deal. They get great reviews on You Tube. It took a guy using a drill to even scratch it on the review I watched. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MAWS5EY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I pre-ordered a Spigen case for the Note 4. I have one for my S4 and it's a really nice case. Great protection and it's surprisingly thin. A $30 case for $18.99 when pre-ordered through Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271610116496?var=570447100916&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Edit: Just FYI, it may not be ready by launch day but it was still worth it to me at that price.

I thought the Sprint version is $350? So with a trade, wouldn't it be $50 down and $100 at pickup? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

In Google maps, you can have a regular map view or you can select a satellite view overlay. I wouldn't use the satellite view when on a 3G connection. It can be too slow to load the satellite pictures. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

For light hotspot use, I have a Freedompop LTE hotspot. I pay $4 a month for 500MB of LTE/3G data along with $4 a month for the data to rollover. I have about 4GB "saved" up right now. For $8 a month, it's a good option for me since I only use it a few times a month with my tablet. It's also a backup in case my home internet goes down. I take online classes so I can't take the chance of having no internet when I need to do school work. You can also get 500MB of LTE only data for free every month if you purchase a hotspot from them. You cannot do the rollover option though with the free data.

As of now, Best Buy has them listed at $350. You just can't pre-order yet. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I just didn't realize it was based off of 10 units of time. The 6:3:1 really makes sense to my logical thinking brain.

Fair enough. That sounds like the best deal out there then. Thanks for the info. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I would find that doubtful. At best, they would let you use it for accessories. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

Choices a good though. Some prefer the check (which takes about 3 months) and some might prefer the instant gratification of a BB gift card to use immediately. Not sure which route I'm going to use yet. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

So if I understand you correctly, the data takes 6 units of time for download, 1 unit off, then 3 units for upload? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

As a former math teacher, I'm a bit baffled at the 6:3 ratio. Can someone explain why it's not 2:1? I just don't get why it's not in lowest terms. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I looked into it for my wife but we decided against it. To me, the sport just doesn't do much unless you're a runner. If Sprint had the active, I think I would get that for her though. I like the extra toughness of the phone and she's hard on phones. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

Sprint, Dish will start fixed TD-LTE tests within a month
Galaxyguy replied to mhammett's topic in General Topics
I hope they bring this nationwide at some point. I'm currently paying $86 a month for 10 mbps dsl. That includes the mandatory land line which I rarely use as well. $30 a month would be great, especially since I already have Dish. They don't say anything about data caps though which would be necessary to make an informed decision. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk -
Is HD Voice now on? Mine appears to be working
Galaxyguy replied to Sim-X's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
If you have the newest software for the S4T, it does have an HD icon on the call screen when you are in an HD call. No need to go to the engineering screen. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk -
Yes, a coworker of mine had that issue but it was quickly fixed by putting ##72786# into the dialer which causes the phone to reauthenticate with the network. I had no such issues with my S4T. I still can't get WiFi calling to work but that's been since the last update. Everything else works perfectly. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

I suppose that's the same theory HTC has but I'll tell you, going from an 8mp camera (S3) to a 13mp (S4T) was a substantial difference. I know the megapixel count isn't always the main difference but it can't hurt to help produce a higher quality picture. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
