    I am going to side with T-Mobile on this one on lumping n25 with n41. Outdoors band footprint can be slightly bigger than band 41. Don't forget when comparing the two that their are two sides of the FDD n25 bandwidth versus just one timed on TDD n41. n25 also brings greater upload speeds. I have not checked recently, but in some portions of the country T-Mobile has 40Mhz of band 25 iirc. So it does add a few lanes to the very wide n41 freeway. As far as nationwide, don't forget the G-block, which will be used with the Space-X satellites.

Actually bought the 2021 version a few months ago for T-Mobile network use because it has n25 which the 2022 lacks. 2022 has reported issues with T-Mobile LTE. Lacks band 14 support for AT&T (has n14). Boost is listed as not supported. Project Genesis reportedly uses an esim and a psim in the s22. In the last quarterly q & a, there were comments about upselling phones to support their new network in 2023. Perhaps this is what this new service is really all about.

    They demand an e-mail address that you don't use with an existing Boost Mobile account. They look at Experian credit, which you must unlock if you locked it because of T-Mobile negligence or any one of several other large Corp security breaches.

    Strange that they require a credit check before they will tell you if your BYOD phone is acceptable. None of the phones they sell appears to support n70.

    I prefer the term "spaghetti code". Typically easier to recode from scratch than to attempt fixes. Personally think T-Mobile is making a mistake by not throwing more consultants at it, myth of the man month considerations aside. T-Mobile should at least ask for customers who want to be converted sooner and use them as beta testers.

    Could be a good fit for T-Mobile. AT&T is heavily invested in Fiber To The Home. The spectrum alone is worth money. If management/major shareholder have hubris, it will likely need to go bankrupt first. Some argue that it should have gone with more markets at once to get scale. That would have resulted in faster bankruptcy. Basically timing is everything in business.

    Some of the other plans have been throttled, like the ED1500. Fixes ultimately came, but it took several years iirc. I moved on to the Sprint Max. One of my hopes was I would get the billing transition sooner. Nope. Wonder if they are going after the static IP. Likely work around is VPN, especially with a smaller more obscure service. Rumor has been T-Mobile would start transitioning Sprint Billing customers in earnest next quarter -- wait, isn't that always the promise?

    Any word on how SCP works with lineageos 19 on a oneplus nord n200 5g? Alternatively, how does the modem option work with rooted Android 11 on the same device? Maybe it has been depreciated in the past given the APIs. But since those are failing with NSA was planning to revisit the rooted modem options.

    One Plus n200 5G

    One of my Nord n200 5Gs bricked this morning after a normal shutdown. Figured out it was in Emergency Download Mode when I connected it to a PC and it wanted to install a new driver. Will see in the coming days if my memory is correct that Android 11 is better than 12 on this phone, especially with SCP.

    I have 3 Samsung Galaxy a10e for mapping LTE. For 5G I like the Samsung a32 5g (both factory unlocked). In both cases try to get one with firmware from the spring of this year. Then you can use the Samsung Band Selection app no matter what the carrier. Been trying to get my OnePlus Nord n200 5Gs squared away with android 11 and rooted. OnePlus bought out by Oppo thus service and strategic direction are both problems. Just getting an e-mail back for the unlock the bootloader process is taking a while. Once we get out of NSA, 5g will be much easier to map. Factory unlocked esim issues are plentiful on high end Samsungs. My quest is a factory unlocked phone that works well with SCP and Cellmapper for both SA and NSA, with multiple active esims that work easily with MVNOs, functioning VoNR, great reception and transmission, full band support for AT&T and Dish. My next hopeful candidate is the s23.

    Playing around some more with this, specially setting the preferred network type to NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA. Seems to produce better results with SCP but drops performance down to 230/7 from 476/33. Basically seems to change it from NSA to SA in terms of 5g. SCP implies n71 only. Noted instability when running speed tests thus needs more tinkering. Rebooting may fix this. Answers calls in LTE.

    Factory Unlocked firmware update S2RES32.29-16-1-10-4. 25.51MB, Oct 1 Security Update No changes observed. SCP still very limited with 5G NSA. Never seen a dialer code work other than *#06#

    I am still getting 900/50 on Samsung Galaxy A32 5g and 1200/65 on S21 Ultra. Both factory unlocked, no recent firmware updates. N25 is present but not accepting connections.
