  1. If you have not already done so, I would try using a safety pin or small paper clip on your wife's phone to remove any lint. A small amount will prevent USB charging.
  2. Wonder if these radios will also support just n77 c-cband access for phones that are not ex-DOD compatible?
  3. Starry files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Will it become a zombie corporation? The question is who is taking a haircut? Almost certainly the shareholders (likely a total loss), likely the lenders as well. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/starry-files-chapter-11-bankruptcy https://www.starry.com/blog/mission/path-forward https://www.starry.com/blog/mission/chapter-11-restructuring-process-faq https://dyajmw2sca9cs.cloudfront.net/press/pdf/PR+Starry+Announces+Voluntary+Chapter+11+Bankruptcy+Filing+FINAL.pdf
  4. It is interesting that T-Mobile has not announced any increases in VoNR devices or markets. Dish really wants to offer all 5g services thus VoNR is essential. If we look back at VoLTE early day issues, they were reportedly density (which was largely solved by several low bands), new switches, and new VoLTE standard "codecs". Wonder if we will have to wait for the x75 modem in the s24? Hopefully people more knowledgeable than me will comment on this.
  5. I believe they are focused on #1. They really need VoNR working, especially with a phone that has n70, to get people on their airwaves.

    Galaxy S23

Does it still reboot when in safe mode? Power on your device in Safe mode: Power off your device. Power on your device. When the Samsung logo appears by itself, press and hold the Volume down key. The device will switch on in Safe mode. "Safe mode" will be displayed on the bottom left of the screen.
  7. I biggest issue I have noticed with earlier phones is the permissions sometimes need to be manually set for Signalcheck Pro before it will work.

    Galaxy S23

I biggest issue I have noticed with earlier phones is the permissions sometimes need to be manually set for Signalcheck Pro before it will work. Is that your problem or something more serious? (What is the SCP issue you are having?)
  9. More of a future item... Sent a couple of diags from my s21u factory unlocked with Tello sim using CA with latest firmware where the second band does not show. One was n41+n25, then rest were n25+n41, all SA. Was also showing same issue with older firmware on other s21u factory unlocked with T-Mobile sim. *#0011# results showed both for each phone.
  10. T-Mobile n77 was reported a while back in part of Houston. Basically they have some in their top metro areas iirc. https://specmap.sequence-omega.net/
  11. Is that info from the former Shentel area (whose deal was closed late compared with other merger areas) or from other areas such as around Washington DC, etc? Could mean they have barely touched their planned 10,000 new rural sites)
  12. This means a significant number of people feel Dish will never pay them back. Dish should have borrowed more money sooner at lower rates. T-Mobile has been much smarter at this during this merger period.
  13. Mike, are you still recommending that this beta only be used on on dual psim/esim devices or should it now be basically safe for all devices (with usual beta risks)?
  14. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/t-mobile-att-and-verizon-gear-super-bowl T-Mobile DAS upgrades and AT&T under the seats antennas are interesting. Hopefully someone gets pictures and details of the under the seats antennas.
  15. What is the app in the lower right corner? 🙃
  16. Given the latest hack, at least according to info released by Google Fi. we should probably all be changing them. Maybe T-Mobile was deliberately trying to prevent a run on the sim bank with their $35 activation fee. SMH
  17. Those remaining either have no choice (sites not converted), or are stubborn and will watch service die with their sim (wish soon granted).
  18. https://www.sdxcentral.com/articles/analysis/dish-5g-plans-score-big-interest-literally/2023/01/ Have not seen interest rates this high since Sprint/Clearwire. Their feet will be to the fire. Instead of $500 million, they got $1.5 billion. Hopefully enough to get to 70%.
  19. If you are referring to https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-stellar-battery-life-matches-iphone-14-pro-max-report-1712271, it did not strike me as a strenuous test. A chipset with lower nm should run more efficiently, but then they overclocked it and there are many other factors.
  20. My guess is they are waiting for their auction 108 winnings, which requires dealing with the AT&T challenge first. This could wait until a fifth commissioner clears the Democrat controlled Senate.
  21. Had not thought of waiting until April. Seems that they would give half off now with s21u to s23u looking at bottom line. Not certain domestic dual sim really possible or worth it from a band perspective with a carrier phone.
  22. I had predicted 88k back on September 23rd, based on their public statements. My guess is they fell short on their 10k site rural expansion, but they could have cut more Sprint sites.
  23. Starry has not been running ads for a long time, Word of mouth/social media was likely taking too long given their dire straights.
  24. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230131005990/en/Starry-Announces-Intention-to-Depart-Columbus-Market https://starry.com/blog/columbus/q-a-about-our-decision-on-columbus https://starry.com/blog/columbus/columbus-customer-faqs Looks like they could not even sell their their customer list. During the same time as this AT&T has expanded their fiber footprint, especially to large condos. T-Mobile home internet would also be a factor. Seems harder to get Verizon WISP than T-Mobile thus may not have been a factor. AEP must have seen it as hopeless otherwise they could have taken it over.
