So I had a chance to see if it collected the data and it did. But the problem is I can't import it into my Google Fusion map because of the 250 MB limit per map. The good thing is I want to remap all the old areas now that I can see the earfcn with my Samsung phone. The bad thing about the earfcn I can now see what they are using and it makes me waste to much time just looking at which market is using 40582 and 40780 vs 40978, 41176, and 41374. Then I could see if there are weird one that are not used much where I have been 40072, 40913, and 41309

I see other bands s8 beta. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/g2rmmr3jyr75znk/20171121_193843.jpg?dl=0 [/img] I was looking for unknown button because I thought unknown was other bands. Since I see other bands in the neighbors I was just double checking. Maybe samsung thought they would get it right for earfcn.

Question about neighbor cells... Is there only one control to make it so you can see unkowns? I don't see them on or off. Are different bands shown only when there is weak signal and when it's looking where to connect to next? New to seeing the EARFCN in SCP so memory is failing me.

I am on the s8 beta android 8.0. I am not seeing the signal detector notification until I pull down the notifications. Almost like a stealth notifucation not sure if that will affect data collection. I just thought you should know it is a little scary to not see it and think it's not running.

300Mbps on one channel is not that big of an accomplishment. 2x2 Mimo at 64QAM is 112.5. 256QAM is about 33% increase but QAM is strange basically push as many bits until failure. So not exactly a 33% increase but a small increase. 112.5 Mbps x 1.33 (gain from QAM increase) x 2 (going from 2x2 mimo to 4x4 mimo) = 300Mbps

Thanks for the heads up claimed mine too. I could not find it in the inbox at first it was hiding in the promotion tab.

Would that be close to 21,358 MB out in the wild? (0xF136F-0x0EC001) How many are planned? Could we extrapolate the GCI? 0xEC001+ 60,000 (base 10)= 0xFAA61 0x0EC<= Market GCI < 0x0FC (FC and FD would be saved for a future possible market) Leaving 65536 possible MBs with GCI before they have to start using sectors bytes and change the backend a little.

Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread
Flompholph replied to Nextel49's topic in T-Mobile Merger/5G NR Deployment
This is a sprint tech forum not a sprint complain forum. The internet is vast you can go somewhere else like twitter and complain. Threads have been shut down in the past for complaints the mods have been very lenient on what has been said don't be surprised if this thread gets shut down due to sprint complaints. They are probably lenient because a throw your crazy merger on the wall thread needs to be made. Do you know the debt of the others to make the claim that "Sprint's debt is bigger than any of the other players"? Is the company healthy? Yes not sure how that would be a no. Debt? But if you look at the other four it is the one of the lowest in debt. LTE coverage is over 95% of the Interstates atleast in the eastern half of the US. Do you have the numbers on the number of people that took up the free phones that you care to share with the class? Are they making money? Year to date yes they are up $158 Million. Are you saying they should not have made a big push with magic boxes this quarter after they saw demand? -
Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread

Can you guys stop with the "Sprints dead if this does not get done." Sprint was suppose to die years ago when Wimax failed. dro magic boxes are repeaters/Small cells. Not sure what you think they are. -
0FE and 0FF are shentel. I would not go past 0FA for MB.

I like the pixel 2 (no XL). The only problem I has was an issue with calling in US Cellular area on Project Fi but other that not bad and that is not really phone related. It is nice and small so it is lightweight.

Hopefully the roaming indicator does not change and it stays there while roaming. People should not abuse roaming data and if they get kicked of the network for using 50+GB of roaming data they would not be able to say. . . "I didn't know I was roaming there was no 'r' on my phone." The roaming limit being removed is good news to me but I keep roaming data off until I can't use my phone which is not much anymore outside of Wifi range.

Shrugs That is how new sites work. Read up about SON. Your battery would go dead fast if it was scanning for sites all the time.

Coverage Map Update 10/15/17

Not many if any 3g only sites left less than 1% at most. -
I made an activity to get unread threads and when clicked takes you to the last unread post. Not sure if link will work but it did in incognito mode. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/discover/20/

Shentel / Sprint LTE - (was ntelos - West & N&W Virginia)
Flompholph replied to marioc21's topic in Markets
That site has been with B41 online for a while now atleast 4 months. But thanks for the report. How has it been network wise? I know shentel started slowing down in that area. -
It could also be 4th carrier. The GCI is where the predicted 4th carrier is located(only one 4th carrier believed to be active) but where Triband antennas are found. If you could investigate which it (triband or 4th carrier) that would be great.

I have been clicking the time since last post link. It will take you to the last post. You can also make a "Activity Stream" and select the "Take me to first unread comment" under "Clicking Unread Items". You would still have to click the clock for read items but it should take you to the last read item.

I wonder where the Magic box range will end. 0ED magic boxes show correct at least in the logs.

Shaferz have you tried going to a 3g only place in/near your home? To connect for the first couple times you may need to teach the network there is a MB nearby.
