  1. Not sure were you are looking for the cell site id at. Tower some pic show site id on the gate. You can find it on the market map or nv complete map in the sponsor section on this forum. On your phone you can go into the engineering screens and find base ID, node ID, and sector.
  2. Your phone caches the tower and frequency so your phone connects faster. Prl update will clear that cache with no cache 800 scans first. Digiblur wrote something up about it I think it was in the columbus market in early August.
  3. It takes me a while to write it up sorry. My experience has been 6 towers alot of GMOs around my area maybe the reason for the difference. Or maybe they don't move them all public all at once I just noticed that every once and a while one new one will be pushed public that was close to the cluster.
  4. I believe that its from the large large number of people who complained about drop calls in the beginning. Bad handoffs 1x800 to 1x1900 they just drop the call. Now at least in the Pittsburgh market they launch 5+ towers together. Then after that add 1 tower at a time to expand coverage from the cluster. I've seen 3 clusters of 1x800 act like that in my market. Not sure what a ton is 3 or 4? I am just hoping they can broadcast lte 800 once they get backhaul without any major tower changes.
  5. I'm not an insider there have been over a dozen people on here say the same thing. "I am having a hard time with the network recently." Then a day or up to a week later the same person. "Yea I have lte." It may just be 3g though just letting you know it is normal for an upgrade for some reason.
  6. They may be in the process of turning on nv equipment. People will say that they have issues before they get better signal. Maybe they will turn on LTE give us an update in 24 hours.
  7. Signal check pro 2 vibrations connected to 800 and 3 means connected to lte. Why is it weird that I can feel the the difference?
  8. I had a similar experience with a tower near me. It was live for a weekend then they turned the one off. That was the first weekend of August. Every now and then I would feel the vibrations telling me that they turned it on but it will only stay for an hour if that. Just trying to say be hopeful but don't be to disappointed if it takes a while. It shows their working in your neighborhood.
  9. 5 new 1x800 towers in Washington, pa. 2 reached close to Houston, pa before I lost them. Also I believe I connected to 1x800 on the tower in Brownsville the bsl line in signalcheck would not update. If the Brownsville tower is up that would mean all non-gmo sites have 1x800 near me.
  10. Just a warning about sensorly mapping if I remember correct from the sensorly thread. That boost mobile phones won't map on sprint network. I believe it had to due with the phone reporting it is connected to a boost network. Easy to test go to a place not mapped yet should take about 10 minutes to update the map. Zoom in and out to try to get to an uncached map zoom. Also don't forget you can turn on upload only over WiFi to save your data.
  11. I had a question about how long from starting broadcasting on public prl to accepted? I have 5 towers close to live going on 3 weeks and 4 near cranberry pa going on 2 weeks. Does the towers which were suppose to be GMO with no 800 have something to do with that?
  12. Every site will get lte waiting on backhaul to get the higher speeds. Any time between now and January no real way of telling when. eHRPD is just saying the hand off between 3g and 4g is easier.
  13. I just noticed 4 new address near cranberry for 800 and 1 down in dunbar this week. So some work must be going on. Maybe sprint needs to push the fiber subcontractors a little bit more. Can't blame the fiber guys to much they probably have to lay a couple extra miles of cable per tower because of the hills. And locals are probably in the way to land owners and politicians like to have their say on every little thing.
  14. It seemed to skip the change to "click for map" on my device not a big deal as long as I check the map to. The address in the pic should read youngwood park, youngwood. It heald the address for the tower to the south an 800. I will see if the db is still there later.
  15. Caching is a new feature Google does the conversion to an address. I did experience the same thing the address sticks as you move tower to tower. Clicking on the address takes you to the right connected tower(the red dot moves address stays the same). Maybe an issue in between saving the address to cache and sending to Google to convert to an address. Maybe the next version will have a "clear bsl cache" in setting. That way if you do encounter this issue just clear the file try it again.
  16. I have connected to 8 towers in pittsburgh region with 800 I know at least one that stopped broadcasting the vanderbilt tower. coyle curtain rd monongahela 719 Woodbridge drive oakdale 17 elm st charleroi 561 Virginia dr bell vernon 300 old pittsburgh rd uniontown 1089 farm rd uniontown 1113 norton blvd connellsville 528 Flatwoods rd vanderbilt
  17. According to singnalcheck pro I have 3 towers in 10 miles broadcasting 800 was 4 but the tower behind my house stopped yesterday morning. And another 2 towers 15 miles northwest of me are broadcasting 800. It still won't switch back and forth between 1900 and 800 until after I prl update. But that's fine if it won't connect to 800 I will still just update my prl to flush everything so I can connect to 800. It covers more dead spots especially in hilly terrain. There are still dead spots just a lot less of them. I appreciate the info maybe more about 800smr will be covered on part 3 of your series of papers.
  18. Well thank you for explaining the priority. My house is in a 1x dead spot but I have 1x800 in my living room very spotty. Maybe when 800 is fully deployed they will change the priority around so it will eventually scan for 800.
  19. I haven't left Pittsburgh region"My home region" in a week. And it connects to the sites 1xrtt fine. I know they use different sid's 4171 for 1xrtt and 22427 for 1x800. Just seems weird that I have to update prl everytime I charge or restart my phone. I would think it would save the GEO so it would connect to 800 faster.
  20. I can't connect to 800 unless I update prl. It does not connect even though I'm only 1 mile away. Switch airplane mode no luck, power off and on no luck, update prl connects I don't know why. The version is the same 55015 I don't know if some startup program is pissing on my prl or if prl update does something other than just update prl.
  21. Just noticed 3 maybe 4 1x800 sites went live around me. One tower 3/4 a mile from me according to signal check pro and one 5 miles away. I still have bad reception I was wondering how much the towers signal will overlap. I just noticed them today may be testing or false positives. If you are wondering why 3/4 miles and bad service. Its because I'm on the back side of a hill. I was hoping for the tower 5 miles away to overlap to me.
