    Settings are the same on both sides of the router. But I had been having issues connecting over the last few weeks on either frequency. It's a new router so I will recheck my settings to make sure I haven't messed something up by mistake. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk 4

    True no pro team does but I can say at reliant stadium in Houston and att stadium in Dallas the WiFi is as usless as mobile data.     EVDO rev. A has a maximum down of 3.1 mbps. It is the limit to the technology. LTE is limited in speed to the amount of spectrum allocated to it. The 5x5 setup is what is limiting it. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk 4

    B25 is good up in my area but it is nice having B26 or B41 when the towers are loaded down.

    This might be what is needed to move Sprint forward. The merger with T-Mobile will not make it by the DOJ since they can keep all 4 carrier's in place with this new offer. Why attempt the merger and hand over $2 billion to a carrier that will continue to be a torn in your side. Softbank should use some of that money to help grow Sprint's coverage area and cover suburban areas that have seen growth. I was never a fan of the merger and would hate to say they were my cellphone company. The fact that someone else wants them and may not have money for rapid growth is great news.     Around IAH the signal is pretty good there are still towers that need LTE upgrades but overall good coverage. Coverage on the way downtown there are areas where there is no LTE currently. I haven't really been in the downtown area other than passing through. When passing through coverage seems about the same as the previous mentioned areas.

    The part that got me was that I got it in the interior hallways, not just the exterior decks. But I get the being higher, also being in the same are for extended period of time helped. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    I noticed a power drain when I let Now run battery life had dropped to about half. With it off I haven't noticed to much of a added drain. Still haven't really had any real test on the LTE connection. I have had a slight increase in holding signal longer in weak areas. Since I haven't had an major issue with connection in awhile it is hard to say I have seen much change. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    Haven't had a chance to test it since the update, but I also haven't had to toggle the phone to airplane mode for almost two months. Just been lucky I guess with the areas I have been in. There are a few spots on the way home that I have been unable to hold connection. I guess tonight I will see what happens. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    Checked the data usage on my phone for sensorly last month. It had used 315mb of data, if you only get 2gb you might not want to use the program that much. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    Houston while one of the first markets isn't anywhere near 70%. Houston is around 35% complete but there is very little 3g upgrades in Houston. I have been able to get as high as 28 down but normally get around 15 on any given day. Coverage is starting to fill in up north not sure about the south areas.     I know when I was last at IAH you needed to be near the windows to maintain an LTE connection. At that time only towers near hardy toll road were active. I don't beleave at current anything at IAH has been converted so that would explain the weak signal along with the building materials for the airport. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    Yes you can miss areas of 4g. You can also miss areas if you have a continuous data connection. I personally have noticed that if the app is open in the foreground my data runs more causing my phone to stay on 3g. When the app is in the background my phone switches regularly from 3g to LTE.     My experience is it connects and holds the signal fine at times in LTE only mode. But the phone does the same without changing the network values at times too. There are times when the connection will get to -123 before it drops over to 3g, this is with cdma/evdo/lte setting. The only reason it appears that LTE only mode works better is the phone isn't looking for any other signals. Which would make it appear that the 3g threshold is higher than it needs to be. The argument could be made that the LTE threshold is to low. I personally have stopped using this setting since I can't use my phone for anything but internet. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner

    I guess the LTE only works better for some and not so for other. The LTE only setting at times can be as flakey as the normal settings. On my phone I have failed to gain connection in the same area other phones have reported connections. The issues appears to rest in software or radio performance. I have also had the phone crash randomly in LTE only. Sent from my EVO using Forum Runner
