  1. Not to mention that Dish and T-Mobile would have an insane amount of debt.
  2. That's a really strange filling, they said it had band 7 (which isn't possible in the US given how that spectrum is setup) and band 5. I wonder if that is the world edition that will never be sold in the US.
  3. Ha I admit I had to look that one up. Back on topic, I do wonder if maybe they finalized both the GS4 and Note III for Sprint (as far as bands and such) at the same time.
  4. The best part about that is that CDMA2000 and unique LTE bands are IMO completely orthogonal.
  5. Ah, man, that was one of the things that I enjoyed because it made it easy to tell which model was for Sprint.
  6. Why the change in naming scheme? Didn't all (or most) previous Samsung Sprint phones start with SPH?
  7. The rest of the population doesn't even a clue what a band is, much less who has what. Like I said they probably saw "CDMA" and then band 25 and connected it with Sprint.
  8. Yeah I know, you think after doing this for so know they could figure out what bands to look for, but they probably just saw "CDMA" and said hey that's for Sprint!
  9. Engadget seems to think the R4 variant is meant for Sprint, which is dumb because even the Note II had band class 10 whereas the R4 variant does not. http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/11/samsung-galaxy-note-3-reaches-the-fcc-in-att-and-sprint-forms/
  10. I love AnandTech and think Brian Klug is the best smartphone reviewer out there and when I asked him if he was surprised to to see band 26 and 41 he linked me to this: https://twitter.com/nerdtalker/status/375072508833054720 That's enough for me, since he is pretty plugged into that space.
  11. Uh oh, let's not AJ started on AMPS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Mobile_Phone_System
  12. It's certainly possible, but the Galaxy Nexus situation was kinda messed up so I hate to take much of it into account.
  13. Even if it did, do you really think that Google would put one on just for Sprint?
  14. While I certainly agree, AJ, There aren't any engineering screens on the Nexus 7 either, correct?
  15. I know that it's variable but isn't a higher bit rate possible? I'm now incredibly confused .
  16. Hmmm, good point, then where the does the higher bitrate come from?
  17. I thought Sprint was supposed to get some SMR back once the they have fully rebranded it?
  18. AJ, how much more spectrum would EVRC-NW (HD Voice) consume vs. what Sprint uses now?
  19. Basically any phone that has a Qualcomm MSM8960 or newer SoC will have 1X Advanced.
  20. Yeah, If a camera is someone important to you, I would avoid the Nexus as they have yet to make a good one. Also, assuming you are on Sprint, the Nexus probably won't have the engineering screens that are important to a lot of people in here.
  21. They are going to provide something AT&T and Verizon won't provide (anymore, anyway) and that is unlimited data. That will be Sprint's calling card until the day comes that it isn't feasible anymore.
  22. It's for the best, really. Oh wow, now I'm trying to imagine S4GRU members as Simpsons characters. This is going to require some time to mull over and make proper decisions.
