  1. Mind expounding on that? Do you notice better performance on 1x, EVDO, LTE?
  2. Become a sponsor. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3603-a-message-from-robert-a-thank-you-and-a-request-for-help/page__fromsearch__1
  3. Thanks. Looking forward to some real world experience though.
  4. And it looks like Engadget was able to test LTE in San Francisco as well.
  5. Any chance you will make the digiblur rom for the GS3?
  6. If that is the case all around the areas you've traveled in your marekt, Verizon likely has more cell sites in your area.
  7. Yes, I find the GS3 picks up an LTE signal much faster than the EVO did, and it's also much better with fringe signals. It will sometimes pick up an LTE signal while sitting at my desk at work, whereas the EVO couldn't get it even after cycling the radio. I did prefer the hardware and the screen of the EVO more, though. "IF" the HTC One can give similar RF performance to what I have been getting from the Samsung, I will likely get it.
  8. I'm not doubting the performance of the EVO. After using the S3 for the past week, the difference is incredible. I expected a little gain in performance, but the actual real world results have far exceeded my expectations.
  9. I thought the One had better RF numbers from the FCC docs?
  10. To balance out capacity perhaps?
  11. I wish I could say that about mine. My wife's EVO 3D refuses to be able to place calls or text while connected to the new generation Airvana, but data works while connected. On the older Samsung airave, both of our phones worked fine, but there was a significant delay while talking and then it started to create a lot of static on voice calls.
  12. I lost my EVO LTE while in Dallas this week, so I got a GS3 last night. I'm enjoying it so far.
  13. Robert, around here Verizon's LTE network hasn't really slowed down since it launched in 2011. My dad's work uses Verizon so I will play on his phone sometimes. It seems to consistently get 30+ Mb's speeds around the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. It was also really fast in Houston when we were there a few months ago. That's about the only experience I have, so it's a limited sample size.
  14. Just a phone call from one of the guys in OKC. He said the engineers are aware of the capacity issues and will continue to try and add capacity to the downtown site and neighboring sites. He said channel 100 was at 136% capacity at the time I was talking to him. But then he also mentioned channel 25, which we know is a voice/1xrtt channel. So who knows. Do you happen to know how many total EVDO carriers can be added in our market? I believe the busiest sites here have 3 voice and 3 EVDO carriers.
  15. Yeah, I see that from the map now. Wonder why the trucks were in this area yesterday then? Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  16. I drove back by the Industriplex site after work yesterday and I didn't notice any work done. Snapped a couple pics. Is it possible the crew couldn't get access to the site due to all the crap here? Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  17. Decided to drive by the Industriplex site this morning and I've got some good news to report as you can see. Today's weather is perfect, so they can probably finish the tower work quickly. My pictures did not post very clearly, but one truck is MasTec Wireless services, and the other is Griffin Crane & Steel. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  18. Where's the dislike button?
  19. Started a new job 3 months ago. I'm now in One American Place.
  20. Nah, I grew up in St. Charles Parish and then moved to Germantown, TN when I was 7. Came back to LA in 1998 to go to LSU.
  21. FYI, the spot of LTE on Sensorly in Downtown BR is from the conference room in my building. I totally forgot to get the sector info, but it's got to be from the Florida and Sherwood site. I pulled around 4 Mb with a weak signal.
  22. I was on 100 when I got to work and data wouldn't work. I'm now on 175 and it's working great.
