Henderson is behind because they are so strict when it comes to cell tower work that it can take 3-4 months to secure a permit per tower.
Clark County & Las Vegas have been really easy on permits, approving them within 2-4 weeks of application. Henderson may be the last community with complete LTE coverage.
I'm going to say, given Alcatel Lucent's current track record with their other markets in the southwest, that at least one tower could be LTE enabled by the end of this month and full steam ahead by the middle of May.

No. It goes as a regular text message. Out of the people I text message on a regular basis, only my mom uses an android phone.

Now that I have iMessage, I rarely send text messages anymore. If something goes wrong with data in my area then I will switch iMessage off, but for now, my data service works good enough for me.

Frankly, I have to join you with your stand that at&t has something to do with this. at&t is the worst when it comes to trying to punish T-Mobile in hopes of destroying them since they can't acquire them. I just hope they aren't successful. If T-Mobile is ultimately acquired, it's a much better fate than bankruptcy. But at&t has too much pull with Apple being the first carrier with the iPhone, there is no doubt on that.
I would sure like to see an HTC 5+ inch phone. (I'm going to refrain from calling it a phablet.)
Of course, it all depends on when Apple releases the 5S. If it's in June, then no it won't have it, but if in September/October, then it is feasible.
6-8 Mbps on a speed test is a burst speed. It shows max capability. Consistent data speeds are always slower. 10-12 max would equal perfect conditions for 90% of mobile users.

Late last year Samsung released RRU's capable of dual WiMax/TD-LTE broadcast. They were updated this year to support 4x4 MIMO for use in non WiMax markets, and 2x2 MIMO until WiMax is shuttered in 2015.
This deal with the Feds should have no impact to existing WiMax coverage.

There can be many reasons. The biggest could be that the Inspector didn't get their report in before the weekend, and therefore Robert couldn't post it yet. Or there could be something else that Sprint's inspector found wrong and hasn't approved it yet. I look for acceptance to take place this next week.

Sprint stated that they will start to release tri-band devices late this year. I'm sure we will see at least one phone with tri-band support before 2014. I'm banking in the Note 3 or the iPhone 5S being the first.
