  1. I would too if I was stuck on 6.1.3/6.1.4. I've had a jailbroken device since 3.1.2 on my 3GS, then my iPhone 4 for the 7 months I had it. (I sold that phone for $750 jailbroken and carrier unlocked and made the jump to Sprint. I paid $200 for that phone, 32GB, as someone gave me $100 toward it.) 2. The LG Viper was on 2.3 for the longest time, and LTE worked on there, so LTE is not limited to 3.0 and up. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2

  4. Were i live we dont have access to Dsl or any other high speed service providers. Our only option is satellite. Verizon 4g hits here but it's very slow since the tower is about 7 miles away the closes sprint tower to me is about the length of 3.5 football fields. This tower has always been fast and it has the RRU's up since about 3 weeks ago, but speeds have been down for more than a month now. all the other towers are about 5-7 miles apart here. The tower i use is [redacted]. The closes i have to LTE is in indio, Ca that's 11 miles away. Please redact the site ID number as it is sponsor content. Thank you. Until the tower is 4G accepted and it actively broadcasting LTE, you might still be connected to old backhaul. One of the many quirks of Network Vision while its in progress. Sorry you don't have any other ISP options in your area. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I understand your frustration. My old iPhone 3GS is still on 5.1.1. I can upgrade to 6.1.3 and jailbreak, but it's more of a pain than it's worth. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  6. My impression was that it varied from area to area based on whoever could meet their specs. Whoever also has the best price too, and can install it the soonest. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I'm going to say that you are ridiculous! Saving an exploit until the general release of iOS 7, whether you upgrade or not, gives users of 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 the option to jailbreak in addition to iOS 7. Saving the exploits is a smart move for them because everyone they discover and use gives Apple that much more to close up. That's why I haven't given up my jailbreak to test out the beta yet. But I will not sign a petition asking them to throw away perfectly good exploits because you and a small number of other users are impatient as hell. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Thanks for the kudos and spreading the word! I'd like to keep my efforts focused on Android for now, since I still have many things I'd like to get added to the app. I did some minimal research into an iPhone version, and from what I understand, the iOS signal strength APIs are not accessible to developers, and any apps that use them are rejected from the App Store. I'm also not very motivated to pay Apple $100/year for the privilege to submit apps to them for consideration in the App Store. So, I may consider it in the future, but it would probably be distributed outside the App Store / iTunes world. You never know.. -Mike It's possible that Apple has given more freedoms for signal API's in iOS 7. If you get a chance, ask a few iPhone devs around here. They may be able to tell you for sure. And if and when you do decide to release an iPhone version, I will gladly install it on my iPhone. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Sprint just reduced their upgrade program from 22 months to 20 months. I'm pretty sure they will keep it that way for a while. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2

  12. Riverside/San Bernardino is also an AT&T area, so that doesn't help with backhaul. Not necessarily. It slows down a bit. I really don't think that AT&T really would be that much of a problem. Sprint does have other choices for backhaul, like Comcast, Time Warner, CenturyLink, Cox. They will skip AT&T if they give too much trouble. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Yes they are. I've tried and even customer service has the same list. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  14. I'd say 50% chance. Of course, that all depends on what you consider rural out there. For me, rural is absolutely nothing. There have been some rural sites across the country 4G accepted before the closer big city, but it's just wherever the backhaul is available at.
  15. I added your permit find to the spreadsheet, and will update the map tonight. Thanks! If you find anymore, please feel free to add them.
  16. Here is the link to the Permit map for the Lower Central Valley thread. If you are not a sponsor, and would like to view the map, please consider giving a donation to the cause. At the bottom of the original post is a link to the spreadsheet the map is based off of, and all who click it can contribute to the building of the map. I will try to update the map every night, but only if there are new permits added to it. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4024-lower-central-valley-network-vision-permit-map/ For those that aren't Sponsors, but would like to become Sponsors, please see this page here.
  17. Permitting is the key to all your woes. It takes time, anywhere from 2 days to 2 months or more to get a permit passed thru the Building department. I've seen some permits take a year or more. Patience is the key to all this. Sprint is working as fast as they can, but some cities are such a pain to get permits through, it just isn't funny.
  18. No, the address is fine. That's public information. Anyone can get that. Just the site ID number.
  19. I already have the Visalia sites on a spreadsheet. I think we can build a joint effort spreadsheet, and I'll host the map through Batchgeo. Also, you need to edit the quote and redact the site ID link in your post.
  20. Both pages for Tulare county are throwing errors. Tulare County permit page is always throwing this error.
  21. City of Visalia doesn't give you the ability to enter parcel numbers. The GIS maps give parcel and address number. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  22. One of the many perks of Sponsorship. I zoomed into the closest I could on the site map for this market, and then I found the coordinating parcel on the Visalia GIS map, and then found the building permit on the city of Visalia permit page. The contact is the same for all 4 towers. Name is Lisa, and 3 of them have Sprint in the name alongside Lisa's. Now if Tulare County's online permit page would work properly, I could get more for Tulare County. I will start searching the other cities in the county and see what I can find.
  23. Here is the official status of permits for the 4 Visalia towers. 1401 w Caldwell is approved, not issued. 5600 w Tulare and 1919 S Woodland are listed as CR, which I assume is some kind of review status. And 1015 E Acequia, which I previously thought was the tower behind Visalia Buick/GMC, is issued, and service went dead on that tower Friday at 12:30 pm. It was still dead at 5:30pm. 24. got some confirmaiton somewhere for this?...the airave 2.5 is a hunk of junk.. No. But the FCC docs in April show that Sprint and Airvana got approved for a new model. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
