  2. Oh really? That's awesome. I was worried I'd have to live with the buggy software for a bit Nope, beta releases are aggressive in nature so that they can work out most of the bugs, if not all, by release day. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Even better, the tower I connect to at home in Visalia has it's Network Vision Building Permit. Edit: it's not issued yet.
  4. Use the GIS parcel viewers. That's the method I use for county permit searches. Up until today I didn't even know the city of Visalia had a GIS map. When I get home from work I will do more searching for city permits. I'm excited! Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Heh... *looks at merced county, fresno county, & tulare county building divisions pages*... Tulare County's building permit page kept throwing errors at me today. Of course, I don't know all the parcel numbers for the Sprint towers outside the city of Visalia. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  6. On the plus side, I found a permit for the tower on woodland at walnut for Sprint. Looks like it was dated 4/26! I'm a happy camper now. Work should start next month in Visalia! Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Service went kaput on the east side of Visalia at the tower in back of Visalia Buick/gmc. Looked as I drove by on the freeway, but didn't look like they were working on anything. I can't for the life of me figure out what happened. All other towers I'm connected to are working just fine in Visalia. ?? Maybe they will be working on it today? I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 8. Sorry. I don't have a screenshot yet either. I'm not a registered developer at the moment, but hope to be early next year. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  9. If that's the case, that's bribery, and if that really is true, then Clearwire has the moral obligations to turn Dish in for such an act. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Added a Blackberry to the list that received FCC certification yesterday that has LTE Band 25 (PCS + G), has no CDMA BC10 (SMR), so it's been added to the devices that received Sprint LTE for possible roaming. However, it's the only LTE band it was certified for. So this device really confuses me as to who it's for. Unless of course, Blackberry decided not to put SMR CDMA 1x voice support, which is really an odd thing. Anyone want to chime in?
  11. Might be, SVLTE might be going away soon due to too many bands and transmit paths required. And keep in mind that basically no 3GPP only handsets support SVLTE. AJ AJ, could it be possible that SVLTE will only operate on one LTE band instead of all three? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I guess I didn't remember it in detail since its the iPhone which I didn't care too much about. I thought it was SVDO that was the stickler on the iPhone 5. Hopefully the iPhone 5S will have triband LTE and SVLTE. I just quickly reread the wall article back in Sept 2012 and yes you are correct it was noted that the iPhone 5 doesn't support SVDO or SVLTE. For what it's worth, for the small number of times I've needed SVLTE or SVDO I wish I had it, but I haven't needed it enough to drive me crazy. I'm planning on getting another Android device when the Tri-Band LTE devices are released and I hope they have SVLTE. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Yes, one of them is that tower! The other one is around the corner from the church at Douglass and Chinowth in someone's back yard. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Visalia has perfectly normal towers and only 2 of those flag pole funny towers, but they are both T-Mobile. But I also know their permitting can take a while from start to finish because the city is so over burdened with work it's not funny. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  15. I wonder if that means they won't even activate a WiMax device on my account now so I can sell my Galaxy Nexus. I was going to put my EVO Shift back on. :/ Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  16. They don't have veto power, per se. They just have a majority of votes and will vote everything down if anything gets that far. Robert I think it's veto power in this case as they own enough that they won't let Dish have their way. Don't ask that question! You don't want to know the answer. No one does. Bad things happen when people ask that question. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Apparently so. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I have an Otterbox Armor that is waterproof, crush proof, dust proof, and will keep my phone intact if I beat the **** out of someone with it. So yes, Otterbox makes waterproof cases. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  19. For the record, the iPhone 3GS has been through 4 major iOS revisions. Released with iOS 3 and supported until 6.1.3, the iPhone 2G and the iPhone 3G only made it 3 major revisions each. The support for updates has been astounding for Apple. The iPhone 4 will be on it's 4th major iOS release when iOS 7 is released officially. I haven't seen a single android device receive official major OS updates for 4 years in a row, which is sad because some devices can support newer OS's. I'm happy to hear about a GameController Framework, because it could easily give console makers a big run for the money if Apple jumps into console gaming. However, I myself as a future developer might find that to come in handy. Be prepared that I am going in to iOS game development by next summer. My first release should be by June 2014! This project has been 4 years in the making. And I look forward to supporting all iOS 7 supported devices. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  20. If you meant Mary's Vineyard, I'm there right now getting lunch at Taco Bell and using data right now, however, ping times are 900ms+. The tower by me usually pushes 1Mbps down even in the afternoon, but today it's slow. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  21. How is having insurance a scam? I'm sure if you drive/own a car, you pay for insurance, and upon an accident, you pay a deductible, correct? How is this any different? I'm confused how people do not grasp the simple concept of insurance. I think it's because of the ever increasing deductible prices for the phones, and some phones stay the same price from day one to a couple years later before they drop in tier level. I do feel that Asurion is price gouging on some phones. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Yeah, those dots are really odd, but I use signal numbers from the Field Test bug (Force Quit Field Test app by holding power until 'Slide to Power Off' shows up, then hold down the 'Home' button until you return to the main screen.)
  23. Yes, the FCC docs backed that up. I need to update my Sprint LTE Device list for the Vital and a few other things. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  24. I've had it happen during the day at both peak and non peak usage times. Strange when it happens. Only lasts for a few minutes, no more than 5 when it does. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  25. I bet the new signal strength dots are actually quantum dots. AJ What are quantum dots? (Please put it in a nutshell. My brain hurts too much to read a Wikipedia page or something just as large.) Thanks. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
