  1. For whatever reason you lost 1x signal temporarily. Happens sometimes. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  2. Pretty much. One panel per sector, all squished very tight together. Then they put a sheath over them and you cannot see them anymore. This pole and the red and white one next to it are on a golf course driving range, and the poles support the stray ball net. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. Not a bug. Sprint Android LTE devices do not show LTE signal strength in bars. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. Because it is not anywhere near launching. Work is in the very beginning stage. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  5. LTE performance is very signal strength dependent on all carriers. The weaker the signal, the slower the speeds. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  6. Please do not do this. Thank you. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. I was only speaking about doing it from the device and not connected to the computer. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. It is extremely variable from 2 blocks to 7-8 miles, depending on how it is deployed/engineered. They have to engineer cell sizes based on the number of users. The more users, the smaller they make the cell. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. A lot of Ericsson equipment has big Ericsson logos on the boxes. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. Here is one in Santa Fe with the outer cover removed. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. Not something I'm tracking. But I believe there are 14,000 WiMax sites if memory serves. And 2,477 LTE sites as of this moment. But WiMax spacing is much tighter than Sprint LTE. So this really doesn't mean much to try to compare head to head. 14,000 LTE sites will have much more coverage than 14,000 WiMax sites. Robert
  12. I wasn't able to find any way to do a PRL write on the device with my Motorola Photon Q. Only on my Samsung devices. Which is...awesome. Best feature of the new Samsung devices, Robert
  13. I get this sometimes. It usually means I am on Cricket 1x and Sprint 3G (eHRPD). Check your 1x and eHRPD Engineering screens and see what channels you are on. Robert
  14. It may be. But the issues aren't because AlcaLu doesn't want to. The subcontractors they are using in each market are different. And those subcontractors are chomping at the bit. They cannot get paid if they do not work. The issue has to be related to infrastructure, permitting or backhaul. Or multiples of these. They are starting North LA, VT/NH/ME, Upstate NY East & Central, Southern Jersey, Providence and Delaware markets early because they can. Not because AlcaLu likes them more. Robert
  15. Work will begin in 2013. Exact dates of 2013 markets are not yet established. Stay tuned. Robert
  16. AlcatelLucent is already starting quite a few markets early. These announcements are only related to communities nearing a launchable amount of service. And thankfully it appears San Diego is finally starting. Robert
  17. Yes. Both Eau Claire and La Crosse are in the Minnesota market. Robert
  18. The Milwaukee/Madison market will start this Winter. Eau Claire just happens to be in the Minnesota market, which is starting before the MKE market. Robert
  19. Work in Seattle just began a few weeks ago, but it is under way. Sprint will probably be announcing it in the next update, or possibly the one after that. We should start seeing some sporadic LTE signals appear in isolated locations around the Puget Sound in the next 30 days. Stay tuned. Robert
  20. In our NV Sites Complete Map, you will see dozens upon dozens of sites marked 3G complete. At these sites, most of the 4G LTE improvements have been completed as well. You will start to see a lot of these switch over from just being 3G complete to 4G complete as well pretty rapidly in the coming weeks. And then the signals will be going live at the time too. This is pretty much what has happened in all AlcaLu markets, like Baltimore, Boston and LA as well. Robert
  21. Thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing your war driving plotting. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  22. That's hard for me to imagine with how spotty Tmo FauxG is in my area. Tmo is not colocated on my site next to my house. Nearest Tmo site is 6 miles away and EDGE only. The closest HSPA+ site is 12 miles away and there are hills between us. I pretty much will only have Tmo "4G" if I am in town in Española or in Santa Fe/ABQ. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  23. Yeah, $499 is ridiculous. Maybe there is some truth to the rumors that Google is subsidizing some of the phone costs. Maybe $200? The store in Santa Fe had no Nexus 4 in inventory. I asked, because I wanted to look at one. AT&T has much better coverage in my area than Tmo. But even with just a toy on the side, I couldn't give those creeps a penny. Besides, the $30 Tmo prepaid deal is so cheap, I can't afford not to do it. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. There are less sites in PBC. I went through and did a quick take off of cherry picked existing sites that could be used to give substantial coverage. I needed a little less in PBC than Broward or Dade. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
