  1. I don't know. But I'm not willing to bank on it. There were a lot of early Ericsson deployments (like Kansas and Texas) with just one RRU per sector, and that one RRU was LTE only. And they kept CDMA on legacy. Then they added CDMA RRU's later. However, that hasn't been the case in recent Ericsson markets like in Florida, Tennessee or New Orleans. Even now new sites in Kansas and Texas have multiple RRU's. With just one RRU per sector here at our ground mount sites, I'm quite concerned. If my site shows up on the NV Sites Complete list with no new panels, I will consider my site one of the No LTE sites. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  2. This is possible. However, I'm thinking that most ground mounted RRU sites aren't going to get new panels. And if they utilize existing panels, no 800. And maybe even no LTE in some cases. Shentel does have a ground mounted RRU site with reused panels that has LTE 1900 coming from it. So I'm holding out hope. 3 of the 4 Los Alamos sites have ground mount RRU's. As well as most in the valley. It seems like the engineer who determined where ground mounts go here in our area was ultra conservative. Ground mounts are not necessary at 3/4 of these sites I've visited. Especially Los Alamos Medical Center rooftop. They could mount right to the parapet wall, like almost every other rooftop site in the country. And ground mounts aren't necessary at my site for sure. But in all the ground mount locations I've visited locally they only have one RRU per sector. And to me, that means just CDMA 1900. Unless they can run LTE from the same RRU. But if memory serves, I think I remember someone once saying that only Samsung can do that with their RRU's. They can run any technology from the same band off one RRU. Other bands require other RRU's. But I believe Ericsson and AlcaLu need a separate RRU for each band and each technology. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, I'm not sure. I'll let you know if I notice anything. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. Its being updated weekly now. I just have been really busy this week. Its on my to do list today. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  6. There's just no way to know. It could be this week. It could be two months. We have seen some Ericsson sites in Kansas sit for months after physical upgrades are complete. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. And that code is the Site #. I have the same problem here in NM. You need to have the exact address that the permit filer used to look up permits online. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  8. The spectrum is way over valued. Clearwire could not get anyone to be interested in it when they tried to sell some in the past. This really drives down the value. Lack of demand. There is no concrete value to the EBS/BRS spectrum at all. It is purely speculative. It would go for a fire sale in bankruptcy. Also, Clearwire has no value without Sprint. If Sprint backed out tomorrow and let Clearwire go bankrupt, then where would these investors be? Clearwire only has value with Sprint in the mix. Sprint is the only thing that has kept Clearwire afloat. Sprint should not be penalized for the value they add to Clearwire. All these investors were close to losing their investments three times over in the past. They took the risk with Clearwire. And everyone always knew Sprint was likely to buy them out. No surprises here at all. Also, Japan is the closest ally to the United States. They will not be deemed some foreign boogey man in this process. And it is no different than Vodafone investment in Verizon nor Deutsche Telekom ownership of T-Mobile. And Softbank is not buying out Sprint and taking them private. They are just buying 70% of public traded shares and taking control of the company. This will pass regulatory scrutiny, no doubt in my mind. I don't see how you consider the government screwed in this deal. They do not profit off Clearwire being sold for $3 or $10 (except for possibly capital gains taxes). There is no valid reason for this deal to not pass regulatory approval now (with the information that is known to date). Only time will tell. Robert
  9. You don't need to respond to this guy. He has been banned. He told me to F off in a PM and said we are the gestapo here because I don't let people to rant about abusing the network while being off topic. Whatever. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. What is it with Philly folks? First they are mad that Atlanta had LTE before them. And then they were mad that Harrisburg had LTE before them. And now it starts going live in their market and they complain about the neighborhood. Holy crap! It's the first site. #1 of 100's. Gee whiz. They are working in the entire market. This is a good day for all of the customers in the entire Philadelphia Metro market. A very good day. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. It's not odd at all. They are working in the entire Norfolk market, which runs from the Williamsburg area over to the Maryland state line on the Delmarva down to Elizabeth City area in NE North Carolina. All the sites need to be upgraded and they work on a dozen plus sites at a time. Some get done faster than others. They go live first. Some cities have more difficult planning reviews and permitting that can cause them to take longer as well. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. The Note 2 is definitely large and not for everyone. But I have not experienced the lag. It feels so much faster than my GS3, in every way. And the display is noticeably better too. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  13. I don't know. But if this is the case, then it is being ignored here. They installed the RRU's at my site here in New Mexico just before Christmas, but they didn't get the power live to them until today. And it hasn't been above freezing here in two and half weeks. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  14. I rarely find out about specific site inspections. I found out about the Howell site because the person involved was excited to see something about to come live in Michigan. As far as other sites, I know dozens more are In Progress in both West and East Michigan. I just don't know details yet. And I have no ideas about timelines either. I'm sorry I don't have more info at this time. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  16. The electrical work is running new power to the new cabinets, and providing distribution within the cabinets and to the RRU's. The electrical portion needs to be permitted and inspected in a lot of jurisdictions. In some places (like New Mexico), it is the only thing that needs to be permitted. The electrical permits and inspections slow things down, too. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  17. Is there a second one live now? The one on SR 24 half way to Archer went live last weekend. It almost makes me want to go home to Hawthorne. Almost. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  18. Joplin is in the Missouri market. In the Sponsor section we have maps that show every Sprint site in the country with details about the site including the market it belongs to. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  19. Don't all the NOLA market NV sites have four RRU's? Maybe LTE 800 FIT? Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  20. Those chickens feared me based on my reputation alone. I did get some perverse pleasure out of ordering chicken dishes at that place. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  21. I'm not bragging any more. Only one RRU per sector. I'm fearing my rural site may be one of the non LTE sites. I'm very concerned. I will be frowning like grumpy cat until my 4G icon pops up. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  22. The site in Howell that has been called for inspection is the one by the High School. It hasn't been accepted by Sprint yet, so it will likely only be live when workers are present or while they are drive testing. If the inspection occurred this week, then they are likely working on the punch list. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  23. Fair Oaks. Haven't thought about that place for a long time. There used to be a restaurant there called the Slocum House. If you ate outside on the patio, there were feral chickens and roosters that used to wander around the tables. I've had many business lunches in that place. I hear it closed down a few years ago. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. Deployment is still underway in Philly. It's going slow. It was delayed two months by Sandy. Just now getting back up to speed. This has nothing to do with fairness. Every Sprint customer wants and deserves LTE. Philly is no exception. Harrisburg was not selected by Sprint over Philly. Sprint does not even have their own sites in Harrisburg. That area is a company called Shentel and Sprint has an agreement for Sprint customers to use their services in Shentel areas. Surely you don't think that Shentel, a private company, should not deploy their LTE network because some people deem SE PA to be more important? There are reasons why some places before others. It's not personal. Philly is a huge market and has hundreds and hundreds of sites. It is going to take a few more months. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
