  1. I think I'm kind of disappointed in CES this year. Maybe it's because I haven't been following along very closely. I've been buried with work and all. Robert
  2. Which features? Certainly not 4x4 MIMO, and probably not even CA. Robert
  3. I was an early enough adopter that I was able to give away all my old CRT's. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. I'm glad to see the tower I reported is live. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  5. Southern Comfort Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  6. I have rouge ants in my yard. You know, the red ones. But my daughters have "rogue" aunts too. Sorry to have a laugh at your expense. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  7. That would have drove me nuts. I'm glad I didn't have that same exact problem. However, the bug on the GNex of losing data connections all together was more annoying for me. Sometimes even a reboot wouldn't fix it! Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  8. Son are you guys saying that soon Sprint will be "Flushing" away slow data speeds in Queens? WHOOSH! Sorry, I couldn't resist! Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  9. No problem. There is a common misperception when people see new installed RRU's and NV panels, that the site is complete. But it is only 2/3 done at that point. The last third is done in the cabinets and provisioning/testing. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  10. The sites are not ready to go. They will be turned on as each is ready to go. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  11. Here is a thread which shows you what to look for on Sprint towers: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2902-how-to-spot-sprint-panels-and-rrus-ericsson-style/ If you see something like this, let us know. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  12. I agree with that. Drives me bonkers. In drive in and out of the Sprint network all day long in rural New Mexico. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  13. The E4GT LOS bug was related to going to roaming if memory serves. When I was in very low signal areas and my device would start scanning 850 it would go to LOS. But when I installed the radios from Calkulin ROM when he went to ICS, the problem went away for me. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  14. I expect CA capability to start showing up in devices this year. But will anyone be deploying any CA network side anytime soon? Additionally, the 4x MIMO issue is more of a device real estate problem than anything. Sticking another two diverse antennas in a smartphone is a tall order, especially for carriers already employing several bands. It will likely be employed in tablets and hotspots first. 15. Work is under way in the SW Florida market, but it is not as advanced as the Tampa market. You should check out this thread which shows you what to look for on your towers: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2902-how-to-spot-sprint-panels-and-rrus-ericsson-style/ Additionally, if you become a Sponsor, you can see maps of all the sites in your area, as well as get access to maps of all the sites complete. More information about becoming a S4GRU Sponsor here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/ And for your future use, the SW Florida market thread is here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1358-network-visionlte-south-west-florida-market/page__hl__florida__st__140 Welcome to S4GRU. I hope to see you around the forums. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for the post. You just beat me to it. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  17. There is both external and internal downtilt. The external downtilt affects all bands/technologies in the panel. Internal downtilt can also change the internal downtilt up to ten degrees further for each band/technology. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  18. I have a love/hate thing for Tmo. Where it is good, it is great. However, to not have a ubiquitous 3G network over all or most of your coverage in 2013 is unconscionable. The number of 4G to 2G seams in my area is amazing. Also, Tmo tends to have worse indoor coverage than even Sprint. Well at least in my area. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  19. It all comes down to timing. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  20. No phones currently on the market support any of the 'advanced' benefits of LTE Advanced. And no specific device has been advertised in the future to support it either. So it is unknown which will be the first device. As for 4x4 MIMO it may be a few years before technology advances to put that many antennas in a smartphone. That aspect of LTE Advanced may be only for larger devices like tablets for some time. Carrier Aggregation can be done now on the device side, but CA with three LTE bands may be a stretch. We just don't know much about LTE Advanced and device development yet. I haven't seen anything out of CES yet. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  21. Upload it to any 3rd party site and post the link, or use the picture embed feature and enter the URL. And I just checked again and still only see 1 Voice Upgrade for St. Thomas. Robert
  22. I don't want it pinned. Lots of pinned things already. I think I have a link inside the actual running list. So that should be sufficient for those people reading the Running List, but want to comment on it. Robert
  23. Yes. Wilmington is in the Myrtle Beach market. Work has started in your area. Robert
