  1. I don't know much about Airaves. I'm not sure if they even hand off to the macro network. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  2. I agree. And work is underway in the market. But no sites accepted yet. I believe this will change very soon. SW Florida market is now the only Second Round market with no sites accepted. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  3. I have no idea what the issue is. I'll do some asking around and see if I can get some info. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  4. All Florida markets were severely delayed. The SW Florida market the most. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  5. Los Alamos sits on the side of a mountain between 7,000-8000' ASL. It gets really cold here too, and our ground freezes really deep as well. And it's very expensive to run ground heaters. You only do it because you have to. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  6. There are not many sites in Chicago that are 3G only. And most of those are in the rural west side of the market and are waiting on Microwave links to be established. Chicago is a model market for deployment. I'm not sure where your new hostility has come from. I'm not enjoying it. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  7. The 20% signal increase that can come with NV 1900 upgrades will not be enough to improve indoor coverage much. It will increase its outdoor range where downtilt permits, bit its main advantage is to allow better overlapping of cells. Which result in less roaming while on the go and smoother transfer of calls to other sites. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  8. I leave my devices in LTE mode, whether I'm in LTE markets or not. I don't notice any difference in battery life, except on the GNex and Viper. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  9. My point is that the 3G networks are overburdened in Houston because the market is spectrum constrained. And also, Sprint cannot add more PCS LTE carriers for the same reason. For long term LTE viability, the Houston market needs SMR and 2600, no doubt. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. That's what people assumed here too. But when AT&T took over Rio Arriba and Taos counties here from Alltel back in 2011, Alltel customers received a notice in the mail saying they had 60 days to either get an AT&T device or lose 3G service. True to form, AT&T shut down EVDO on the Alltel network about 10 weeks later and only 1x remained. My Alltel 3G roaming disappeared in AT&T areas. Well most of it. I still got Alltel EVDO in Verizon areas for another year before they switched to start being labeled Verizon. And I still occasionally can get AT&T Alltel EVDO in remote areas where AT&T still has EDGE. AT&T decided not to shut down EVDO where it didn't use the 850 spectrum themselves. 12. I have no idea how to check your voice signal strength on an iPhone. However, it would be helpful to try to determine the issue. Although, I don't need LTE in my home. I need it where I go. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  14. Most sites are deployed with 800 now. About 3/4 of the new sites in Chicago now for instance go live with both 3G and 800 at the same time. I know that in all Samsung markets, CDMA 800 is being deployed side by side with 3G and LTE. They just cannot be tested and accepted until the channels are cleared. Also, most Ericsson markets are deploying 800 on full build sites too now. I assume AlcaLu is too, but I do not have specific affirmation of that. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  15. What you're really saying is you wish they would wait and not let the complete technology be usable until they all are ready at a site. Because that is what would happen if they tried to do what you want them to do. I don't want that at all. Also, don't assume that just because one technology is accepted, doesn't mean they both were not installed at the same time. In most cases, the hardware for all technologies are installed at the same time. For instance, almost always at Samsung sites, CDMA 1900, CDMA 800 and LTE 1900 are all installed at once. In your frustration, you are making faulty assumptions. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. Those two sites aren't even a mile apart. If you cannot get a signal in between those two sites, then either one of them is offline or your house is made of something that blocks RF. What kind of 1x signal strength do you get in your home? Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  17. I imagine something like this... "Hey you, sonz a beeches...this is what I expect when I inspect a site. Do it right the first time, it gets accepted and everyone gets paid. Capeche?" But then again, I have an over active imagination. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. It stops being true when you get into the adjacent markets. No LTE at the sites listed this way in Long Island, North Jersey, Upstate NY East and Southern Connecticut. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  19. It's past the 5/205 split. So you probably were outside of the coverage from the lone site that is active on the north side of Tualatin. Also, you will likely have to cycle airplane mode to get it from the I-5. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  20. Not that I'm aware of. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  21. I have seen the panels on the bottom before on Sprint legacy sites. But I cannot say with 100% certainty. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  22. The signal will get optimized and adjusted when watch adjacent site comes online. Every Sprint tower in your area will be upgraded eventually. The coverage will get a little better with each additional site. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. I didn't have the Rezound long. It didn't bounce well. The two temp phones I had after breaking it was a BlackBerry and an Xperia Play. I can't believe our agency owns a Play device. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  24. Those are ATT panels, for sure. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
