  1. I am working on getting site lists of the Clearwire TD-LTE 2600 network. We already have the Denver map up in the Premier Sponsor thread. For the time being the Clearwire maps will stay in the Premier Sponsor thread. If Sprint starts adding them to Network Vision sites, and we start getting updates from Sprint, those will definitely be added to the NV Sites Complete Maps. Eventually, Clearwire sites will get integrated into the Sprint network and show up in Sprint databases, and then we will also start tracking the existing Clearwire sites in the NV Sites Complete database. 2. The Viper had pretty solid results on LTE. The Viper was super awful 1x/voice. One of the worst I've ever checked. It's amazing anyone can hold a call with that thing! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  3. In S4GRU RF performance testing, the LGOG was equal to the Note 2 in PCS EVDO performance and about the same as the Viper in LTE performance. It was much better than the EVO LTE. The only place the LGOG lacked in our testing was EVDO performance on the 850 Cellular band. AJ did some RF performance testing on the LGOG on SMR 800. He mentioned to me that it was not quite as good as his HTC One. So the LGOG may not be all that good on CDMA 800 (which we did not test). However, given 800's propagation superiority, this may not be so bad. And these results are not surprising given our 850,roaming testing. But in all ways to measure RF performance, it beat the EVO LTE. It is a mid range RF performer overall, and an excellent 3G EVDO performer. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  6. Yes, I read that too. Doesn't change my point. Rumors, that's exactly what they were. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  8. I get why some of you may desire or even need removable batteries. And if given the choice, I'd much rather have a removable battery and SD card slot. I enjoy those features on my Note 2. I just don't get the surprise. Given the LGOG was that way, we should have all expected it. I know I did. With 3,000mah battery, it will meet the needs of 95%+ of users. I liked the fact my Note 2 has a removable battery, but I have never bought a new battery for extra capacity as I thought I would. The only thing I do to remove the battery is a hard reboot. But just long pressing the power button for 10 seconds does the same thing on a non removable battery device. The G2 is definitely not a miracle device. It's not going to meet the needs for those who must need SD card and removable batteries. Same as the people who cannot use the HTC One, the LGOG and almost all Nexus devices anymore. I've expected Samsung to pull these features too. But so far they've kept them Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  9. The LGOG sales were quite good. Probably better than any modern LG product. They got me to buy one. Nothing approaching Apple or Samsung. But enough to get people to start looking. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  10. I don't understand the freak out over the LGOG2 not having SD card slot and removable battery. My LGOG doesn't either. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  13. I upgraded my hotspot three times this month. Each time you upgrade your plan, the old one stops dead. And the new one starts over fresh with no data usage. And you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the billing period on the new plan. My VZW hotspot is not so generous. You don't get to start the data pool over with an upgrade to your plan. I was shocked to see Sprint do this. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  14. In my triband tests, speeds did go down when you went inside if you were more than 1/2 mile from the site. However, even with one bar, I still was getting 7-20Mbps on TD-LTE 2600. I even hit 18Mbps with a -120dBm RSRP signal in one test. Also note that my best speed test of all was taken inside my hotel room. In Thornton, Colorado I did testing of where TD-LTE 2600 overlapped Sprint LTE 1900 and the TD-LTE had better results in most instances. Only when the Band 25 exceeded a -80dBm signal and the Band 41 was worse than -115dBm did it get better to be on LTE 1900 Band 25. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  18. Sprint needs to build a network that supports double their current subscribers. And they are. They need all the subscribers they can get. Protecting the current network from new users is not going to get you the results you want. Building a mondo network that rivals and can support as many customers as the duopoly have is the answer. And that is what SoftBank is doing. Don't panic. Enjoy the ride. Robert
  19. I think I may be willing to try this on one of my many spare phones around here. Very interesting. Robert

  23. I only buy 2 amp chargers, for home or car. And I will not buy ones that are just a power pack with USB cable plug ins, even if they claim to be 2 amp. I'm convinced that 2 amp chargers with USB power cords do not work as well, and seem to charge around 500ma-1.0 amp speeds. Regardless of how many amps the power pack is capable. I love my RocketFish Premium 2 amp car chargers. Only their Premium series has 2 amp mobile capability. The standard RocketFish car chargers are much less amperage. Last time I bought them on EBay for $6...I bought 5 of them. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
