  1. It's OK to ask if plans are still available and legitimate ways to get them. It is not OK to ask ways to circumvent rules/laws, defraud or deceive to get them. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  2. If the install narrow beam NV antennas, then it will only help slightly. If they replace with normal beam width antennas, it could be quite an improvement. There are a couple two sector sites here in New Mexico that they have upgraded to three sector sites in Network Vision. Hopefully they will do that with yours too. 3. I don't know what the return policy is with VZW, since I'm a Sprint guy, but if it's 14 days, you may want to pick it up and try it in weaker signal areas and see how it does. EIRP numbers do not always equal real world performance. It's just that the VZW GN3 is so notably low, it causes me great pause without hearing real world performance feedback. 4. Yes...but if it wasn't Triband on Sprint, I may get it on my Tmo, VZW or ATT lines. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  5. It is just the VZW GN3. And it's both the 750 and AWS band that's poor. The ATT version is fine. And I hate ATT, so it pains me to have to steer you away from the VZW GN3. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  6. I'm still interested. I think I'm willing to try something other than Samsung for my next daily driver. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  9. They are currently adding Band 25 around Denver. There are only about 3-4 sites live now. Mostly around DIA. There will be approximately 20-30 live in the next 3 months, and maybe 70-100 in 6 months. They are also starting to add Band 26 to sites in the Denver area in the next few months. But within 6 months, they will probably only have two dozen live. So if those timelines work for you, then Sprint may be a viable option. If you need widespread LTE coverage, then you need a Band 41 device or you may want to ride it out with ATT. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  11. Oooh! I wouldn't order the Verizon GN3. It has the worst LTE EIRP testing numbers of any modern LTE device. So you will likely have a much poorer/slower experience on LTE than other VZW LTE dual band devices. I was going to get the VZW GN3 for my Verizon line. But after seeing that, I'm looking for another VZW device. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4

  15. I have all four carriers. Tmo is only good for people who stay exclusively in urban areas. Cross the city limits and welcome to 2G. Also, indoor coverage is atrocious unless you're within half mile of a site. Tmo has no low frequency spectrum...at least Sprint is deploying that now. I disagree with your assessment that no one should consider Sprint now. Sprint is not excellent everywhere at the moment, but there are thousands of places in this country where they are. And with Triband LTE, LTE coverage is about to double overnight in the largest markets. Sprint service will only improve further every month going forward. It's not for everyone, and it may not be for you. But it's not for no one, either. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  18. 3.5GHz works just fine in the density that it is deployed in Asia. It will penetrate walls in the short distances that of is designed for. 2.6GHz even penetrates fine when you are inline with a sector and within half mile of a site. High frequencies are fine, used in conjunction with lower frequencies to fill in the gaps. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  19. And they are. They will be expanding sites to 1Gbps in NV2.0 everywhere they can get it. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  20. They are going to make being connected to Band 25, 26 and 41 pretty opaque. Only us wireless nerds are ever going to know. The mainstream tech press will just complain about Sprint being slow when they are on 800 or 1900. Because all they will see is the 4G or LTE icon. I think it's one of the main reason why SoftBank is now pushing for Band 41 on all Clearwire sites, all Sprint Network Vision sites and additional sites in between, because they want everyone getting the high performance speeds as much as possible. Robert
  21. I can't wait until you upgrade from the EVO LTE, because you will get almost double the LTE coverage just by getting rid of that dog. Robert
  22. Clearwire/Sprint will get the maximum possible bandwidth possible for each Band 41 site. Probably 2/3 can get 100-300Mbps+ no problem. But the other third will have highly variable backhaul. They will get the maximum performing backhaul that can be obtained. The capacity of the airlink is ~100Mbps per sector. So 300Mbps is needed ideally for each TDD carrier. That's a lot of needed backhaul. So if a site currently has 100Mbps, if the site is under burdened (as all Band 41 sites are currently), each sector can likely provide maximum speed test results. But if each was at 50% capacity, speeds could be way, way lower than optimum. But probably still better than LTE 1900 with normal loads. With 20MHz of capacity, there's just a lot of room for traffic. So there needs to be some mondo backhaul in the long run. They have options though. At a site where they can get 100Mbps service, they may be able to add three separate 100Mbps connections, one for each sector as a temporary stop gap measure. However, for longevity, they will need to get 1Gbps+ for Band 41 sites. And they will get there. And fortunately they have a little time to get there. So if they continue to run full bore on this backhaul upgrade, they can stay ahead of the curve. But no rest for the weary. Robert

  24. If you would see the Premier Sponsor Band 41 Maps, you would see the first 5,500 are not co-located with Sprint sites. They are typically the highest capacity sites in each market. The site on my hotel roof in Denver last month is a Clearwire only site. However, the rooftop Clearwire LTE site on the hotel I stayed at in Fort Collins last week was a co-located Sprint site. No pattern there. Additionally, of the 50 or so Band 41 sites I've used in the Denver/Fort Collins area, I would summize they have not upgraded backhaul yet at all the newly upgraded sites. Whatever backhaul Clearwire already has in place is what is being connected initially. I was getting speeds as low as 8Mbps and as high as 59Mbps with a full signal. And since there are not many Triband hotspots out there and it is a 20MHz channel, I know that the slower sites had to be speed limited by backhaul. According to a Clearwire source, they are actively upgrading their backhaul network wide. But they will not wait for new backhaul to fire up a TD-LTE 2600 site. So the sites running 30-60Mbps are likely already upgraded. And the ones running 8-20Mbps are likely still on legacy WiMax backhaul. Robert
  25. Ummm, no. They're not allowed to give you info from the Premier Sponsor section. But with the discount we're offering today, we've made the deal as alluring as we can. Robert
