  1. Thanks for the list. Rickie will start working on it soon. Once he is done, it will show up in my next map update. Or if he works on it pieces, it will probably post in pieces too. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  2. Power came back on this evening. I think I might sleep with the lights on. Just because I can! Robert
  3. I've never heard anyone around here say that AT&T couldn't do LTE Advanced with their given equipment. You were making assumptions. Don't blame us that you assumed something. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  4. to S4GRU! Hope to see you around! Robert

  6. You cannot turn Band 25 off on the Netgear Zing hotspot, either. You can put it as the lowest priority, though. Only Band 26 and Band 41 can be turned off. I think Sprint wants to protect people from trying to park on LTE 800. And that's a good idea. There is no reason to keep people from Parking on Band 41, though. But that might be a remnant from when Clearwire would own and bill Sprint for Band 41 usage. Robert
  7. This article also makes it sound like TD-LTE on 2600 will not be live until the end of the year. And it is live now on thousands of sites. Sprint is making sure to under promise and over deliver. A new strategy for them and very wise. Robert
  8. Watch your connections and make sure it is not shunting you to 1900 when you think you're using 800. If I wasn't watching closely, I would have thought I was staying on 800. Also. I've run several of Digiblur's PRL's, all to no avail for me. It is possible it is a problem with my unit. It's possible that the problem is with only certain manufacture runs of the GN3. Not sure of anything at this point. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  9. I have not been able to get my Note 2 EVER to be able to use SMR 800 successfully. The few times I thought it did, it actually shunted me over to CDMA 1900. And I tried all three vendors. I couldn't get CDMA 800 to work on my Note 2 on Ericsson in New Mexico, Samsung in Colorado or Alcatel Lucent in Phoenix. It will park there on Channel 476 just fine, but all my outgoing texts and calls fail after 2 minutes of trying. And incoming calls never ring through. And incoming texts pile up and wait for me to get back on PCS. Unless I use Google Voice Text. My wife's LGOG2 seems fine. If my Note 2 has a -96dBm signal on 1X 800 or worse, it will switch me over to 1X 1900 to make a call or text. If it's better than that, it will just fail and fail and fail. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  10. That's great news. I hope more updates enable LTE signal to be shown in bars. It will alleviate a lot of confusion. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  11. You can tell if a site has had its backhaul upgraded because LTE will be live. As for LTE 800, we do have info on many Samsung markets and and a few Ericsson markets in the Premier Sponsor section. I have more info to post in there, but will not be able to for probably another week or two. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  12. Got my natural gas turned on today. So I at least have hot water. Still no power. The power went out at 9:50 AM on Friday morning. In the morning it will be five days without power. At least I get to go back to work tomorrow. I can use my laptop there. Maybe I'll even get to work on the update on my lunch break. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I'm so mad at myself. I missed it this week. Distracted with the massive snow storm here. YEEARGH!!! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I didn't see your donation come thru PayPal. Message me the details and I will get your account upgraded. Thanks for supporting S4GRU. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  15. About half the snow melted today. It's supposed to hit 60°F tomorrow. It will probably all melt but the north sides in the shadows. But I still have no power. I charge my devices in the car. I have to keep increasing my Verizon hotspot data allotment. Since it's my only internet access. Damn capped data! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  16. I would say the chances are virtually zero. Sprint will likely cancel Clearwire home service with the end of WiMax. Sprint either will never offer an ISP service again, or it will be limited like Verizon's LTE ISP. Sprint will not allow heavy home based usage to clog their LTE network. They are counting on the high performance of the TD-LTE network and mondo capacity for unlimited smartphone usage in order to compete with the duopoly. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk 4
  17. We received about 24"-36" of snow at my house with drifts up to 6' in places. I have no power. But I'm very happy to be in a house. The basement is holding 55°. So I'm holed up there. It took me 5 hours to shovel a path from my front door to the road. Just a path. But I have a camp stove and I think I'm going to heat up some spaghettios. Then I will go do some more digging out! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  18. I finally got a house in Rapid City. Waiting on the landlord this very second to bring me the keys. Glad to not be staying in camping trailer through this storm! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  19. They are expecting between 6" -18" around Rapid City and the Black Hills from tonight through Saturday morning. Don't they know it's the first week of October? Sheesh! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk

  21. We have no sites that have been accepted 800 only to do date. All CDMA 800 sites are either 3G/800 or 3G/800/4G. Robert
  22. Thanks for the welcome. I'm having a tough time finding a large home to rent. I need 4 or 5 bedrooms. If you know anyone that needs to rent a house, or is selling but hasn't found a buyer and would consider renting, please pass on the info. I'm nearly desperate. As for protection sites, there is just one. It's on the hill off E. North Street behind the On the Border restaurant. Robert
