  1. It just means that now CDMA (think voice and SMS) are now upgraded on 1900MHz and 800MHz. On the maps, 3G = CDMA 1900. And 800 = CDMA 800. This entails 1x voice and data on 1900MHz and 800MHz respectively. This has no bearing whether the backhaul has been upgraded or LTE is immanent. CDMA 800 does not require upgraded backhaul and can run on T1's just fine. There are not many sites in the Chicago market with no LTE. The ones remaining have significant issues and will be handled one at a time as they are resolved. Everything that can be done easily is done. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  3. I guess it's too much to be able to offer 1080 resolution and fold it like an electronic taco. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  5. You're a liar. You've been banned before. And now you sneak in with a new screen name and claim to be a new member. Nice try thelasthallow. Which was your previously banned screen name. Well, let me send you back to Banlandia. And BTW, you clearly took a side. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  6. The topic is not even being discussed anymore. It's just trolls running their mouths and being escorted to the door. Thread closed. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  8. Framily plans with the Unlimited data add on get the Unlimited Data for life guarantee. It's been posted and discussed in the Framily thread. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. AT&T has been actually one of the better Network Vision backhaul providers for Sprint. Also, they cannot give inferior backhaul. AT&T has a contract and they have to provide the backhaul performance and timelines in accordance with that agreement. AT&T only provides a portion of the backhaul in the West Michigan market. Not all of it. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. This is going to be changing. Masayoshi Son has said that Sprint can no longer use their competitors for backhaul any longer. And any existing backhaul from competitors is to be phased out over time. So there will be some chances for the local guys here in the future. Son said it is crazy to line your competitors pockets with your cash for them to use against you. He seems pretty adamant about the change. I am not sure of the timelines. But it's likely in the ballpark of 24 months. This will be one of SoftrBank's righting of many wrongs. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  11. If you need more than 2-5Mbps, you should find another provider. Sprint will not have higher speeds for another year or more. They will get a slight bump when Band 26 is deployed in your area in 6-8 months. But high speeds will not be around until Band 41 is deployed likely in 12-24 months. 2-5Mbps probably meets your needs. It meets the needs of 99% of all smartphone users. A 3Mbps connection with a 60ms ping feels faster than a 10Mbps connection with a 180ms ping. People think they need faster, because marketers tell them they need more. And if you are that 1% who actually needs more, you should go to another provider. Robert
  12. Usually each wireless provider uses different backhaul vendors. It is not common they all use the same. Verizon and AT&T use their own whenever they can. Robert
  13. Multiple carriers or multiple wireless providers? Very different. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. Tracking 100% LTE complete is not important. We cannot track AT&T and VZW to 100% of every site either. They still have some difficult to do sites in many markets. Other than maybe a few small markets, it will be a year or two before there is 100% LTE on every single site. Unless you can start tracking 100% conversion on every single site on all the other networks, I don't want you to keep quoting that around here. To keep posting around our forums repetitively "none are 100% LTE converted" amounts to trolling. Which you are getting dangerously close to doing. Robert
  15. The strongest EVDO signal I have ever had was -30dBm RSSI. And I was about 20' away from the panel. Robert
  16. I've not been expecting an N5 Spark update before the end of the month. But it would be nice. There are very solid rumors that the LG G2 will get its update before the end of the month. And that may translate to the N5 getting its update soon. But I'm not expecting it. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Just to clarify your point further, the Nexus 5 does indeed require a software OTA to run Spark. I know what you mean, but I didn't want there to be any confusion since the poster mentioned he thought the Nexus 5 already was enabled. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. I fully answered your question with lots and lots of detail. I have no idea what more you're expecting. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  20. Yes, that's possible. And it would be nice if it were usable to Sprint customers in the next 30 days. But I don't recommend holding your breath. Robert
  21. Those messages went out nationwide. I received it in Rapid City, South Dakota too. And I'm in a roaming zone. There is no way, no how that Sprint will be turning on a nTelos overlay in the next 30 days. Robert
  22. No, Sprint will not be selling Clear LTE service. Clearwire was deploying Band 41 LTE when Sprint purchased it last summer. The Clear LTE identifier that comes up when you scan for networks is just a skeleton of what may have happened. There are no Clear LTE devices sold. You have to get a Sprint LTE to use the Band 41 LTE network. The Clear brand will likely die out with WiMax service. Although, Sprint is trialing a home based LTE ISP service with Dish Network in Corpus Christi, Texas. If that catches on, there is a possibility that the Clear name could be used as a part of that service. Robert
  23. I echo the same sentiments and observations with Battery Guru. It extends standby battery life tremendously. Active use battery life is extended only minimally, if at all. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  24. Based on anecdotal reports, the Moto X seems to perform really well on Sprint's Band 25 too. It's too bad that they didn't come out with a Triband model like Samsung did with the GS4. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
