Roon3y
The closest tower to that location is off Callicoatte & 37 which is not in progress but keep an eye out for work on the tower. They would be installing new panels and RRUs. I passed by that tower on Friday and didn't see the panels up yet. it seems like up this one is up, cuz now i get LTE all the way up to Mc Kinzie Rd. From Corn Prdct to Mc Kinzie.

That's where you're receiving that signal

pnickel
5-28-13 Bluemustang Josh & Pyroscott: I was vacationing in the valley last month & noticed a few locations in Harlingen that were receiving 4G LTE signal. It was primarily near US 77 & US 83. I use the Sensorly app (available for free in the Google play store) to track LTE coverage & it does a fine job of doing just that. It also has a speed test built in which I find gives a better representation of the true download/upload speed rather than peak speeds when tested with Speedtest.net When you install the app, you can see the areas in Harlingen where I was able to get LTE signal. You can also view it from a PC here: http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint So LTE across the valley may not be that far off! LM1213
it's popping up around town. they have it where I work. However, still not at my home. in corpus christi. saratoga and weber. so it's all around me..just not in my area, which I hate. It's like they are puposely avoiding my area. road down the street both ways and behind me. just not where I am ugh. I got a 5 up 1.44 down. where I checked. is it possible the speeds will get quicker the longer it's on? or the more they update?
LM1213
Corpus Christi, TX LTE. More locations popping up around town thats better than some twc home wifi

adrianr361
Anybody with a galaxy S4, when you receive LTE coverage, will it show up as LTE on your phone, or 4G? Here in Corpus Christi, I noticed that 4G just started popping up on my phone depending on where I am at. And when it is connected to 4G, it shows I have all the bars lit up, but I get not data coverage, I can't connect to the internet....I can only connect when I am back in 3G territory... Mondays In Flames
To reiterate what many have said about the bars, that shows your voice signal not your data. As far as not being able to connect to the internet in 4G, it probably has to do with what market you are in. Here in Miami, we are not officially launched, so some sites while they may be broadcasting 4G, it won't connect me to the internet. It has something to do with them testing out LTE and what not. Hope this helps -Luis
Beejis
Luis is right, if the market you are in has not officially launched yet, you may show you have a 4g signal but you might not be able to use the data (my 4g data didn't work for a little over two weeks even though I had close to full bars). Hope this helps -Luis Luis, thank's for the reply. I talked to a buddy of mine who works at Sprint and he said the same thing. I guess the thing that confused the heck outta me was that when I am in 4G coverage and it pops up as 4G, I was assuming, like my very first HTC EVO, that it was the same technology. I was wrong. That was WIMAX, not LTE. I was also thinking that the phone would say LTE, but it doesn't, it says 4G. So yes, there is very weak 4GLTE coverage here in Corpus CHristi, Texas, not strong enough to get data.
adrianr361
And the crappy thing about it is, when I am in 4G coverage, I get ZERO data, nothing. Sometimes it will be a long stretch before I get back into 3G.

Maybe in the future... As for know I think there are certain ROMS or themes, if you're rooted, would give the LTE symbol. -Luis

BBRam
Looks like there's LTE in Brownsville according to Sensorly. Yup. I noticed the 4G on my phone Friday night, so Saturday I drove around mapping it on Sensorly. The data connection went from being absolutely useless, to being able to make a phone call using Viber. I can't wait for the north side of Brownsville to get coverage.
