Massive lte outage?

I have had service in and out all morning. No lte whatsoever.

Checked on outage map appears many big cities affected here in the northeast?

I am jumping from 3G to no cell service to 1x?

Must be Verizon !

I see there was a lot of maintenance scheduled for today wonder what is happening.

Yeah it is very bad in Westchester county at the moment. No LTE and off and on 3G. The phone cannot authenticate with any data network at the time being.

Things went down here in the Boston suburbs around 4am. No LTE at all and very erratic 1X/EVDO. I caught a glimpse of LTE a few minutes ago, we'll see if it holds. Twitterland hints the entire Northeast is affected.

Was a slow morning , I pretty much had 1x for most of the day so the phone was useless. I would occasionally see a flash of 3G or LTE and then it would go back to 1x it was horrible to say the least.

Has an official statement been released with what the actual issue was? I'm curious what went wrong, on a more technical level than what the news outlets have been saying.

All I saw were a couple of generic tweets from Sprint saying it's been resolved and that it was a network issue. They aren't elaborating publicly. Would love to know what happened, just for geeky curiosity sake.

I doubt we'll see a press release highlighting what caused the outage.

If you have an iPhone it was due to the 9.3 iOS update not communicating right with network. I had the problem and on 3G my data worked fine

I have an Android and basically couldn't connect at all. Sprint never hinted that it was limited to iOS devices. It was limited to a particular area of the country.
