They are starting the ABQ market with the site next to my house. I just ran into subcontractors for Ericsson who are starting to upgrade my site in El Valle de Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. Unbelievable!!!

LOL my 4G is showing 0.86 DL and 0.46 upload.... But it is STILL BETTER than before Sprint started turning on 4G

where were you when you did the speed test?

This had to be fringe area. I have been able to do tests on all the accepted towers in town and have not gotten that low. Still better than 3G though

I pulled 22 download this morning (about 6 am)near Wyoming and Copper. The speeds have been all over the place. I got less than 1 bps recently, in the same spot. I haven't noticed any new 4G going north from Central.

I agree. I think it depends on the time and day.  With more towers accepted and turned on, more capacity will be achieved and consistent speeds will come.

 

Also, in the priemier section, you can see which towers are scheduled for B26 (800 LTE) for ABQ.

Speeds and pings are also erratic because of ongoing Ericsson work at Sprint MSC's/DDC's.

I got an 85 and a 74 ping at Candelaria and Vassar. I used to get "network communication issues" there. I also got a solid 4G lock at the Heights Octopus car wash... Definitely work going on. I believe that Sprint will smoke everybody when the roll out is done. And have you SEEN the Sprint Spark speeds? Check out Sprint 4g LTE on google plus.

However, a lot of our hopes went up when we started seeing NV activity start 17 months ago.  And then when full builds really started to take off in May, we really got excited.  However, from the time of the first build acceptance to first LTE acceptance was damn near a year.  That is the part that made us all really anxious.  But I'm happy for you guys now.  Part of me is kind of sad to miss it all.  But not the part of me that enjoys breathing!

What really bugged me was that the only thing I ever needed was a consistent 1.5 DL to be content. Now I can boast of 4G and unlimited data. It's a good feeling. Does anyone know if Sprint will start throttling? I have noticed an absence of no throttling ads.

On unlimited My Way and Framily plans, Sprint only reserves the right to throttle video streaming down to 1Mbps when needed. It's in their terms. However, they either are currently not using it, or it's very rare. No one really ever complains about it.

 

It's intent is to prevent people from using unlimited to stream to their TV's and bypass using a home ISP. 1Mbps YouTube or Netflix stream is pretty adequate for a smartphone, but not for a TV.

      Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.

      A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.

      Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.

      Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
