Network Vision/LTE - New Orleans Market

Yep, dead on with the HEX I had previously calculated for "Engineers Rd and Harvey Blvd". That one had issues for a couple of months but was later corrected according to Dem_bone. Sheet updated as HEX confirmed.

Several of us crowd source a list of all the sites I put together for the NOLA/BR market. We constantly update it with new things found in the field along with new 4G/3G site acceptances. As one member called it, "encyclopedic", it is quite that! Its the ultimate cheat sheet for knowing what is going on at anytime and where you might and might not have a 4G signal. Using your LTE engineering screen you can easily see which site you are connected to along with which "side" of the site you are connected to. The sheet is also turned into a dynamic map with different icons based on what is going on with the site. Since it is based on some information from sponsor areas it unfortunately can not be shared here.

Here's a sample of the map:

Based on the data you provided the "?" next to the HEX ID will go away. On the sheet it gets marked as green as well.

:wall: Stupid me not thinking!

Guess that's why you are the master of this Digi lol

I donno if you go in that direction on your way home Tony, but if you go by Lapalco and Manhattan, you can do the same thing to get the hex ID for us on that tower as well.

I wouldn't go out of your way to confirm them as I figured out most of them already. Now where your phone will be a huge help is when there is a mystery signal found by others you can snag the Hex code and know exactly which site it is. Dem_bone might come steal your phone to find it ;)

Never thought of that... lol

I haven't been to that area of Marrero to see if 240 is still there.

I believe that can be said for anyone that jumps from an older generation 2.x android phone to a 4.x version. The software enhancements and chipset upgrades combined with the crazy battery life is awesome!

That serving cell is listed as Warrington @ Mandolin (Dillard). You have access to the NOLA spreadsheet now (in my signature). To find out which site it is take that cell identity of 94440705 and put it into a DEC to HEX converter. There are several converters on the web, apps, and even plain ole calculator on a PC if you change the mode to programmer. It converts to 5A10D01 which the last two digits will always be 01, 02, or 03 based on which side/sector of the site you are on. Typically the the sectors are assigned starting on the northern side as 1, then clockwise around the site for 02 and 03. All the HEX IDs are listed on the spreadsheet and you'll instantly be able to tell which site it is. The only one I don't have good info on out of the 300+ sites is "Downman & Chef Menteur", which I have narrowed down to 3 different numbers.

So if this location is correct please let us know and I will flip it to confirmed on the map/spreadsheet. Serving cell will be: 8, 177, 346

I'm lost, i dont know where the spreadsheets are. I do think is the Dillard's one because that is the only site in that area and I had full bars when I got close to the tower.

It's in my signature... http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/579-network-vision-site-map-new-orleans-memphis-gulf-coast-east-texas-mississippi-and-louisiana-markets/page__view__findpost__p__102322'>http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/579-network-vision-site-map-new-orleans-memphis-gulf-coast-east-texas-mississippi-and-louisiana-markets/page__view__findpost__p__102322

You also have access to the other thread where 90% of the New Orleans/Baton Rouge action happens: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/579-network-vision-site-map-new-orleans-memphis-gulf-coast-east-texas-mississippi-and-louisiana-markets/
