My data has been way way bad today horrible. Hope it's because NV

Not to be a downer, but it's probably just lack-there-of. I hope one of us gets eyes on an update in progress. It's hard to believe it's happening until you know that someone has seen it.

The permits were likely ready for the original market start before the bird/equipment problems.

You prob right based on the dates. Looking at some of the Manatee County permits though there seems to be some movement where it was applied for a month ago, but payment was made just days ago. I think sites in Manatee are going to be going forward soon. I hate that each county has it set up different so its impossible to get ALL the info. I did talk to a friend that used to do admin work for Goff Comunications (they seem to be pulling the lions share of permits that I see in Pinellas, Hillsbough, and Manatee) She said it would be unusal to be pulling a bunch of permits so far in advance of doing the work because it could be upwards of $500 a permit and a company isn't billing until the work is complete. For example one site I saw in Manatee they applied for the permit on 9/26 and paid $118 but came back on 10/30 and paid the balance of $395 her take is that work is about to ramp up based on the money they are putting out and especially if they are coming back to complete payment.

I got three guys working on a tower up the street from my house.. Looks like the are working on the Sprint site but every time I run into a crew its for AT&T.. Guess it's time for more permit digging.

If the opportunity presents itself, drop in and ask. Sounds like AT&T has already done substantial work there so there is a much more likely chance it could be for Sprint.

I would but I have run into this crew about 3 times now and it's starting to get pathetic. I will check permits then maybe visit the site tonight and see if they have left any boxes behind, usually it will have the site name and carrier on it

The TA03XC106 site looks like it is on an apartment complex. Should be an easy upgrade in a prime location too.

So a site that was on the permit list I stopped by today. No antennas but a new slab has been poured for what looks to be Sprint equipment. This is in Clearwater. It was a monopole and you could tell where the lines will be coming out to the slab. I gleaned some other info that may or may not help me but it will have to wait for the time being. Speeds in this area were avg about 1.5Mbps pretty good actually. I'll be back in my area in about an hour about that other tower.. I also ran into a Metro tech while I was was there funny guy worried about his job of course but said they were going with a 6 sector at this site I have an idea what it is but if someone could chime in that would be great

Its November andn nothing in sight Sprint needs to come on already these3g speeds are getting ridiculous

That may not be entirely true... Check out this other forum started by Feech. He found a tower that looks like work is being done to add new panels and we think it may be a Sprint site.

All of us over here can't be in all places at once but I think it may be safe to assume we might not get in sites accepted in this week's update.. It will be disappointing but not unexpected.. We do know from permits, tower techs, and Roberts talk with Ericsson last week that we are close though. Hang in there we may be a month from really seeing anything

I'm with you believe me.. You know what I wish for me than anything is coverage where I work. It's not that my speeds are bad but coverage in the area is just horrid

Definitely looking forward to that 800mhz spectrum closing the coverage gaps in the area. Particularly in the Forum and Channelside. Based on the first estimates we had I thought by the time I would be able to upgrade in December I would have a good idea of the rollout in Tampa. Hopefully we get something before December.

    • Since this is kind of the general chat thread, I have to share this humorous story (at least it is to me): Since around February/March of this year, my S22U has been an absolute pain to charge. USB-C cables would immediately fall out and it progressively got worse and worse until it often took me a number of minutes to get the angle of the cable juuuussst right to get charging to occur at all (not exaggerating). The connection was so weak that even walking heavily could cause the cable to disconnect. I tried cleaning out the port with a stable, a paperclip, etc. Some dust/lint/dirt came out but the connection didn't improve one bit. Needless to say, this was a MONSTER headache and had me hating this phone. I just didn't have the finances right now for a replacement.  Which brings us to the night before last. I am angry as hell because I had spent five minutes trying to get this phone to charge and failed. I am looking in the port and I notice it doesn't look right. The walls look rough and, using a staple, the back and walls feel REALLY rough and very hard. I get some lint/dust out with the staple and it improves charging in the sense I can get it to charge but it doesn't remove any of the hard stuff. It's late and it's charging, so that's enough for now. I decide it's time to see if that hard stuff is part of the connector or not. More aggressive methods are needed! I work in a biochem lab and we have a lot of different sizes of disposable needles available. So, yesterday morning, while in the lab I grab a few different sizes of needles between 26AWG and 31 AWG. When I got home, I got to work and start probing the connector with the 26 AWG and 31 AWG needle. The stuff feels extremely hard, almost like it was part of the connector, but a bit does break off. Under examination of the bit, it's almost sandy with dust/lint embedded in it. It's not part of the connector but instead some sort of rock-hard crap! That's when I remember that I had done some rock hounding at the end of last year and in January. This involved lots of digging in very sandy/dusty soils; soils which bare more than a passing resemblance to the crap in the connector. We have our answer, this debris is basically compacted/cemented rock dust. Over time, moisture in the area combined with the compression from inserting the USB-C connector had turned it into cement. I start going nuts chiseling away at it with the 26 AWG needle. After about 5-10 minutes of constant chiseling and scraping with the 26AWG and 31AWG needles, I see the first signs of metal at the back of the connector. So it is metal around the outsides! Another 5 minutes of work and I have scraped away pretty much all of the crap in the connector. A few finishing passes with the 31AWG needle, a blast of compressed air, and it is time to see if this helped any. I plug my regular USB-C cable and holy crap it clicks into place; it hasn't done that since February! I pick up the phone and the cable has actually latched! The connector works pretty much like it did over a year ago, it's almost like having a brand new phone!
    • That's odd, they are usually almost lock step with TMO. I forgot to mention this also includes the September Security Update.
    • 417.55 MB September security update just downloaded here for S24+ unlocked   Edit:  after Sept security update install, checked and found a 13MB GP System update as well.  Still showing August 1st there however.
    • T-Mobile is selling the rest of the 3.45GHz spectrum to Columbia Capital.
    • Still nothing for my AT&T and Visible phones.
