Hello is there any news of signal improvement planned any time soon in the Avon area? It's very spotty out here.

I can't speak to the immediate Avon area, however I do know that small cells are being installed as we speak in the Indy market that will improve coverage and capacity within the existing footprint.

Additional macro (large coverage) sites are planned in the market, however it's difficult to say when work will begin on those.

Thanks for the response. If I go out about a mile south towards 36, I get lte plus speeds but over where I am it keeps switching between 3G and LTE quite frequently. Really hoping signal strength gets better. I don't even care if I don't get the fastest of speeds. Really want a good stable LTE connection. On the coverage maps I see a lot of holes in this area which is why I was wondering.

Thanks again, keeping my fingers crossed

This is in Danville. Just west of Avon right in town today. 3ca.

That's insane. I wish I could get like 10 down. The signal strength/speed in my area remains the same. Today's speed tests, average download 2mbps and upload 2.2mbps. My biggest issue is my phone flipping between 3G and LTE (when it goes to 3G the speeds are atrocious)

I was just going through my logs and notice two GCI's that match what small cell pattern has been. If either of you want to go around looking for them they are close together.

Connected a small cell in castleton at the ironworks plaza. Didn't find it to take a picture since I was in a rush. It didn't reach into the restaurant I went in, but provided good service outside.f895de7cbc597bcbddd410381bd1ccce.jpg

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
