I've noticed B41 at 56th and Post. On 96th St in fishers. At 62nd and Michigan. It's really getting more wide spread. So happy to see. I still don't think B26 has been optimized yet, although I'm fearing that even when it is, it won't help in my office.

I am going to the Indianapolis 500 on May 24th.  Any word on COWs or expanded capacity for 400,000 people to visit the speedway?

I was at Carb Day last year, and my 3G/4G data connection was usable. :)

Using 3G only mode right now at the speedway since LTE 800 and 1900 are slammed. My wife can't use data on her AT&T iPhone 5S at all so she is using my Sprint iPhone hotspot.

There were hundreds of thousands of people at the Indianapolis 500 race.  When the race was over, many thousands of people try to get for a taxi to get them out of the area.  Taxis have special road routes in and out assigned only to them as the number of cars leaving the parking areas overwhelm the Speedway road system for hours.  Many people including my party of 6 prefer getting away from there quickly and safely. The Taxi and bus routes within about 5 miles of the area are enforced by local police and barricades.

Uber was a sponsor at the race to help with the shortage of taxis for this event.  All Uber cars had a special notice in their window so that police could direct them through the taxi routes to assist with the overload of people.  When the race was over, the Speedway taxi pickup area, which was about a half a mile away from the track and outside of the range of the COWs, had an Uber booth with Uber representatives to assist people with getting rides.  Unfortunately all the providers were swamped and not working other than Sprint.  I was able to make my reservation with no issues other than a little slowness in my iPhone 5S.

The Uber table had MiFi devices from Sprint and Verizon to help people with connectivity.  Uber was recommending that if you were having trouble using the Uber app, that you connect your wifi to their MiFi device.  The only issue was the Verizon MiFi was overloaded and so was their macro network.  Verizon slowed to a crawl and was barely working.  T-Mobile essentially stopped. AT&T was overloaded and started timing out.  Sprint was very slow but worked without timeouts or any other issues.  The Uber people were directing everyone from other providers onto their Sprint MiFi and Sprint hotspot devices.  In my party, I had fairly recent devices from all 4 major providers in the area.

People from other providers were remarking at how Sprint used to be really bad in that area and were amazed Sprint was now the best provider to use there.  Sprint will likely be getting some new customers from that experience.  Maybe Sprint got lucky and their COWs happened to cover out to there but I expect that everything was working just because of more than one band 41 carrier gave them more capacity than the other providers away from the track.  Verizon is an Indianapolis 500 sponsor.

Hey guys, I'm the one that found the CA in atlanta. Im currently vacationing in Indy and i just found a lot more CA here. I think deployment is more widespread than we think. In both indy and Atlanta I'm almost always on CA when connected to band 41. (Sprint 41 only not clear 41)

45 to 70mbps consistently. Some slower but nothing lower than 25 mbps. I'm at a busy convention downtown. There has to be a bunch of people connected and I'm still getting 45 down

And this is what I get near moorseville (about 10 miles SW of indy) when im on band 25 instead of 41. I question speed tests results but i know im on b25. f06ebded8fdffbb0124c2b30d18247ea.jpg

You should check your service mode screen on ur device and make sure thats band 25. SNR is buggy on my phone and doesnt always display the same as info as the service mode screen.

I was driving down 146th screet and noticed that these are on the side of the road about every half mile. I have no clue if they are Sprint, but they are the first micro sites I have seen around Indianapolis.

    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
    • At some point over the weekend, T-Mobile bumped the Omaha metro from 100+40 to 100+90 of n41! That's a pretty large increase from what we had just a few weeks ago when we were sitting at 80+40Mhz. Out of curiosity, tested a site on my way to work and pulled 1.4Gpbs. That's the fastest I've ever gotten on T-Mobile! For those that know Omaha, this was on Dodge street in Midtown so not exactly a quiet area!
    • Did you mean a different site? eNB ID 112039 has been around for years. Streetview even has it with C-band back in 2022 - https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7303042,-73.9610924,3a,24.1y,18.03h,109.66t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1s2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g!2e0!5s20220201T000000!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3D2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.share%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26yaw%3D18.027734930682684%26pitch%3D-19.664180274382204%26thumbfov%3D90!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu Meanwhile, Verizon's eNB 84484 in Fort Greene has been updated to include C-band and CBRS, but not mmWave. I've seen this a few times now on updated Verizon sites where it's just the CBRS antenna on its own, not in a shroud and without mmWave. Odd.
    • Drove out into the country today.  Dish stuck to my phone like glue. At least -120 rsrp. Likely only good for phone calls (should have tested.) It then switched to T-Mobile. Getting back on Dish was another issue. I am used to dragging out coverage so I expected a few miles, but had to drive at least 10 miles towards a Dish site. Airplane mode, which worked for Sprint, did nothing. Rebooting did nothing. Finally got it to change over about 2 miles from the site by manually setting the carrier to Dish then it had great reception. Sprint used to have a 15 minute timeout but I did not have the patience today.  Previously I did a speed test on Dish out in the country at the edge of Dish coverage. My speeds were 2g variety. Dish has really overclocked some of these sites. Seen rssp readings in the 50s. Would have called them boomer sites with Sprint but much  more common with Dish.
