Tower in OP at Blanding and Bolton has new antennas installed next to B25/B26. Sprint B41????

8T8R setup should have a slightly shorter panel and only one RRU. It can be mounted anywhere...top, bottom, middle. That doesn't matter.

Just tried out T-Mobile for laughs (Test Drive, which is a kind of cool attraction.)  Anyways, I've come to the conclusion that Sprint is better here, coverage-wise.  I'd rather have a reliable method

I'm safe. Sprint holding up well. 4.5 million without power. The eye of the storm coming straight for Marion county with 100mph winds. I hope I have a home to go to when this is over.

Here are some better photos of the location at Blanding and Constitution.   B41 was still not online yet as of Friday.  Maybe this week??

Sleepy Hollow still only has WiMax along with B25/B26.

Blanding/Parkridge still is at B25 probably due to the protected birds nest (sign on gate indicates Federal Protected)

Looking back over my testing.  It looks like the Sleepy Hollow location does have B41

 

Signal       GCI          TAC    Band        Location

-90      0208A200     8320    B41    Sleepy Hollow Tower

-98      0208A201     8320    B41    Sleepy Hollow Tower

 

There are two towers on Sleepy Hollow.  According to some of the information I read, Clearwire was on one of the towers and Sprint/Nextel was on the other tower.

 

Here is a photo of the 2nd tower that I assumed is not Sprint.  Anyone know more about this location?

Excellent shots! What camera/lens combo are you using?

 

If I had more time, I would have busted out my Nikon D800 and 400mm f/2.8 awhile ago. I just don't have the time to tower spot.

I have a Canon Rebel DSLR w/ 300mm but for these I am using my standard Canon SX260 point and shoot w/ 20x zoom.   :)

The pics you linked here looks like T-Mobile with ground mounted radios.

This is the tower I connect to at home and I have yet to connect to B41. I drive right past the towers all the time and nothing, not sure what's up.

If this site is the one near the Walmart neighborhood market I've connected to band 41 several times. I didn't even know it was converted until I connected one day.

Weird... I shop there all the time and I'm always on B26, occasionally I bounce back to B25 but it's rare, never B41

I've only connected to it when outside but never inside usually in the parking lot or driving by.

Fscj South Campus. They literally have a B41 site in the parking lot.

I wish I would have went to school when I graduated back in 05. I had a son to care for so I had to get a job. Luckily I found a job that I made out of a career and make decent money to support my family.

Clear setup. I'm just impressed with how quickly its seemed to progress over there. Three weeks ago there was only 3G. Two weeks ago some B25 popped up and now we are rocking some B41. It's looking good.

Its amazing how much band 41 there is downtown, riverside, and near the stadium.

I haven't been in that area in a while. On that note though clear had some tower locations that sprint should look at keeping in the future. That are not colocated and should be converted to NV gear.

Quite a few band 41 permits in Ocala. Didn't think the treatment would come so fast. Called Sprint and there are 4 sites slated to have installs in the next 3 months.

What do your B41 permits look like?  I just found a bunch of permits for local Sprint sites but it just says "replace existing antenna" etc.
