Looks like a tower was accepted along I75 Between Loudon and Sweetwater. Someone needs to map it if it hasn't been already. See a lot of 3G acceptance Norteast of Knoxville

Looks like the tower on Middlebrook near Gallaher View has some guys, a truck and a trailer onsite.

I saw that too.  They were there for several days, but the logo on the side of their truck was for a site management company.  Don't think they were ericson or any one for Sprint.  I live near that tower and have not seen any change in coverage.  I do get very poor LTE at my house which seems to be coming from down middlebrook near cedar bluff.

I would love if this was some indication of more progress here in Knoxville, but it seems like they have moved on to other areas...

I saw the security line attached to the tower, I wonder who they were working for then. From looking at the completion map, work is still being down in the Knoxville area, there is a new tower up and running on Pellissippi and Oak Ridge Highway. I live closer to that tower on Middlebrook and the signal cuts out right as I go down the hill and the other tower near Pellissippi and I40 cuts out

2 minutes from me.

I'm not sure, I saw them there last friday and then monday as well, but I'm still not getting any LTE from that tower.  I guess they are just working in parts of Knoxville, I'm not going to as often.  I figured from the lack of activity on this board combined with me not seeing anything new they must have been in other places.  This is something I would love to be wrong about! lol

I got these speeds off the tower near Bakertown, I don't know if this is close to you or not.

In Hendersonville, downloads have become sluggish and I have never seen the upload speed this high.

As more Sprint people know that LTE is available in their area, the more they will use it.  LTE has been active in Mt. Juliet for a few months.  At the beginning, downloads were at about the speed you show here with uploads at about 8 to 10 mb/s.  They have slowed some as more users have come onboard.  From other discussions on this site, Sprint is looking for 6 to 8 mb/s down and 3 to 5 mb/s up once NV is fully implemented.

Hey guys it's been a while since I've been here but got a quick question if someone has an answer. I've got 2 towers near me that have had the antennas installed and cabinets put in a week ago. On average how long does it take for sprint to start broadcasting lte from these towers?

It can be very soon or take several months.  It all depends on when the backhaul (fiber optic cable) is completed, the tower inspection and several other variables that need to happen.  It can be frustrating but is worth it when it is finally complete.

Anyone from the Bristol, VA area picking up LTE?  I get LTE on Bristol, TN side of town toward the Bristol Motor Speedway up Volunteer Parkway as you run into Bristol, VA the LTE is gone same way if you drive down the east end of town toward King College no LTE?

I got 4g at VHS football field (tonight), had it around exit 1, and at exit 7 area. It's coming, slowly but surely.

I was under the impression they have completed the LTE rollout for this area (Sprint coverage show LTE lit up in all of Bristol).  I am picking up eHRPD on the east end of Bristol around King College towards E. State St.

Sprint lists a market as live with LTE when 50% of the market is ready.  They are still in the process of upgrading the area.  Work is continuting and probably not be finished until early to mid 2014.  Remember the Nashville market extends from Unicoi county to the Tennesse River west of Nashville.

This would explain why I am getting eHRPD signal on the east end of Bristol towards VA Exit 7....at home Galaxy S3 will bounce in out of LTE and eHRPD.  Seems like the TN side of Bristol towards the race track has been completed get download speeds around 17-21mbps.

Very few markets - if any - are actually complete yet.

Sprint formally launches (puts out a press release and adds coverage to the maps) when approximately 40% of the population in the "market" (I use quotes because what they call markets are really small portions of the actual market). Unfortunately this often leaves much to be desired after the launch because there are still many towers left to be upgraded. Generally within a few months of the launch, coverage starts to fill in better.
