Just did that. It appears that I am on a different tower...so that might be it.

That sucks. So close, yet just a little too far. :(

Sorry. Ming and Hughes. I went up Real rd and did sort of a circuit west on Stockdale to California ave and back to Ming via 99. Never lost it though the speeds are horrible.

Then I went back up 99, west on Rosedale, and lost it for a minute around Patton. Then picked it up again at Rosedale and Coffee, where I now sit.

Looking back on the Sensorly map, it looks like strong signal may be had south of New Stine and Stockdale.

Fresno/Clovis and Sacramento are the only sizable launches that are left in the civilized part of CA... Even the funkytown that is Madera is 3G accepted.

I don't know where Sac town stands but Clovis is probably next. Fresno... Fresno is mystifying.

Fresno may be having a contractor problem as well. There's still only one city site that is done, and that was done back in September or October.

Speaking of October, the permit for the Clovis rodeo grounds site has been issued for about that long. Have they done anything to the site yet? Nooooooo, of course not. Why would you bother working on the site that would be right in the middle of a nice 3G cluster launch? I'm wondering if it will be one of those "accepted" sites like the one south of Fowler, the one off akers/198 in Visalia, and the one west of Farmersville; 3G accepted, but no new panels. What sucks about the rodeo site is that I would have to go into full blown lurk mode in order to get a peek at the base station.

Given that there's a middle school and a neighborhood playground right beneath the site and the police station just down the street, I would probably end up being noticeably absent from S4GRU for a period of time to be determined by a judge.

Sacramento will be the absolute last top 50 market to be launched by Samsung. It's the battle of the losers at this point for who will be the last major area in California to be fired up by Samsung.

The one west of Farmersville? Is that the Acequia site in east Visalia? Or the one off Farmersvill Blvd?

Ah, not west. North of farmersville.

Oh, ok. Remember, cluster launches are usually not all the towers in an area, but almost all. Circumstances can keep 1 or 2 behind the rest. Bakersfield had 2 in that massive cluster launch that weren't accepted.

I have seen the mapping of LTE on Sensorly but unfortunately, I have yet to connect.  I was over at Famous Daves by Coffee and Rosedale last night and had no luck.  It appears to be more towards the South West areas of Bakersfield.
