  1. They're back Vodafone re-entering U.S. as a T-Mobile MVNO TS out
  2. So let me get this straight. They put up a tower (or a tower was already there) and it got upgraded but then the building was torn down? Damn TS out
  3. I've noticed real world performance to be different when one compares the tests done for the FCC docs. Although I do not have the N5, I did have both the Nexus 6, Note 4 and Note Edge and I ran a few Signal Check pro tests and screenshot the results. The N6 is better on B41 than the Notes, but that's basically it. At the time I was having issues with a few sites in my area, now no issues, but I returned the N6 so I can't redo the tests. I find the Notes a bit better, (at least in my area). See posts 231 thru 257 in the Motorola N6 thread for the screenshots. TS
  4. Ahh I see. I went back and reread a few pages and noticed this is in 4.262b currently being tested. Looks good.Once it goes to the play store I'll update it. TS
  5. Can you post a screenshot? Try as I may, I don't see that nor see a option for it in the settings. And I am at version 4.261 TS
  6. That explains the disturbance in the force I felt numerous times.
  7. I don't know ,maybe its me, but If BTA buys his devices as he claims he does, then he can get a tri-band phone, test it (for 2 weeks to see if it makes a difference for where he is at) and if it isn't, then he can return said device. Only then can he tell if Sprint is good for him or not. TS
  8. Can anyone explain to me why in the heck you would need a 20+ megapixel camera? Wouldn't that result in a really big file for each photo taken. TS
  9. How is it possible that on Jamaica Avenue near Parsons Blvd there is LTE, but the minute you step into the Sprint store in that location, LTE dies a quick death. lol TS
  10. You know, speaking of that, I find it interesting that the article states That is alot of people. I wonder how much of a load that would be on any of the carriers, especially Sprint since the hotspots are theirs. TS
  11. Interesting that Amazon is slashing $100 off the Note 4 of the usual $299.99 price. It is offering it for $199 for 2 year contract. Seems it is only for today and it is temporarily out of stock. TS
  12. Yes I the village idiot did take that to mean the serving cell site. lol I really need to slow down on my Evelyn Wood speed reading. Thanks for the clarification. It's funny, but my niece says the same thing. Must be something an iPhone user would say. but yeah it is pretty darn gorgeous. No gaps, nice curves, nice to hold, responsive to my touch and yes I am talking about the phone. lol TS
  13. aarrgghh, here at work in Hillcrest, the Note Edge and the Nexus 6 are connecting nicely to LTE but the Note 4 refuses to and continues to drop to 1xRTT / eHRPD on that site over in Parkway Village or at the site across from PS 86 in Jamaica Hills. I'm beginning to think its the device and might have to take it in since the other two devices are connecting fine. TS
  14. btw, those test results were from my home, at work its a different story. hmmm with what you said above AJ, I would assume that the poor/average transmitter (here near my work) is being received well on the Note Edge (which stays on LTE, regardless of the band) and that my Note 4 continues to refuse to stay on LTE and drops down to eHRPD. That seems to be the only reason why the Note 4 refuses to grab on to a LTE signal. Unless the Note 4 is a dud and needs to be replace. aarrgghh. TS
  15. I posted a few SignalCheck Pro screenshots comparisons of the Nexus 6, Note 4, Mega and Edge over in the Nexus thread here. TS
  16. Okay, I did a few more pics using signal check pro. First I lined them up from left to right (smaller images shown, click to see full scale if necessary) Mega, Note 4, Note Edge, and Nexus 6 I then ran Signal Check Pro for all of them. As you can see, like I mentioned previously, getting them to all to be on the same band is close to impossible. I'm surprised that the Mega got a signal since I swapped the Note 4 for it. After trying to get them all be on the same band, I gave up. I then took the Galaxy Mega out of the compare since for some reason every time I connected to LTE, the Note 4 would not. (Like I said, it could be that the Mega shouldn't be connected to at all since the Note 4 was the device I EIN swap with it. Below is the Note 4, Edge, and Nexus 6 after getting them to be on the same B25 band. I did another one for good measure And finally one with the Edge and the Nexus 6 on B26 (The Note 4 refuses to get out of B25 as you can see by the time, I spent a few hours trying to get to but no cigar.) Hope that helps. TS
  17. Its been like that since I installed Signal check Pro on the Nexus. It didn't connect to the same site. In fact, the Not e 4 and the Note Edge do the same thing. I didn't even think of waiting for both to be on the same site. I just placed both phones next to each other on the table and screenshot them. Reduced the size of the pics and posted them. I'll see if I can take further pics if they attach to the same site. TS
  18. Well I wouldn't go that far. Like I said, most of the issues can get fixed in a future update. Size and price is subjective. If one doesn't like a stylus, or an overlay and wants pure Android, the Nexus is basically the best and (for the most part) the only device to get. All these flagships are price high and for the most part are huge. So like I said, price and size wouldn't matter. The part that is odd is the engineering screen missing. I hope I am wrong, but something tells me this is the way it will be in the future. None taken. my opinion is but a drop of water in an ocean. It's only what I have experienced so far. I still haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I only have one week to decide though. TS
