  1. Sprint would do well to offer 100 MB to 500MB of free tethering per month as part of Premium Data for the casual user who will only use tethering periodically and unpredicably. Then redirect the user to a website offering additional access at reasonable tiered rates. Asking people to buy in at $29.99 for 5GB makes it an all or nothing proposition (or more accurately, a Sprint or illicit tethering option). This is the same as the problem with the music industry trying to fight MP3s to preserve pricey CD sales. Better to embrace the iTunes model of charging smaller incremental amounts.
  2. Also, I hope you are not going to be irrational here. It is not the best forum for that. Those posts are better suited for the Sprint.com Community forums.
  3. Sprint loses money in Airaves. If you are paying monthly then you must have the old Samsung Airave. If so, see about getting a monthly credit to offset the charge.

    RYAN

Welcome! I need a part time job. Do you get to sit on your ass all night or must you stand or walk?
  5. If I had the cash, I would get a Playbook with BBOS 2.0 for $200. A friend at work got one and it is actually a very nice device.
  6. LOL. The dude who wrote that slam is under 30, has has few real (paying) jobs and is now unemployed a self-described "freelance writer". Enjoy that maturity of his personal site http://thepurdman.com/. I really, really hate pretentiousness.
  7. I am thinking about grabbing a Blackberry Playbook for $200. OS 2.0 with Android support makes it a pretty solid device. I cannot see paying $500-600 for a tablet.
  8. I am spending more and more time here and less and less at other Sprint sites that seem populated with a very few, but very prolific, Sprint bashers. I may understand their frustration, but I am not going to read a site that is 90% complaints. It is just unproductive. S4GRU has turned out to be populated with some very intelligent and knowledgeable folks. I learn something new every day. Thanks for providing a friendly community to peruse. However, I must still waste the majority of my online time with Reddit. I cannot kick the addiction.
  9. Need help with that? CSS is not that big of a deal. You just have to adjust the style sheet and it will flow throughout the site. Read this: http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/REC-CSS1-20080411/ I would be glad to help out though I have only played with it and do not do websites professionally. And I bet pyroscott knows how, too. He seems pretty web-savvy.
  10. Let's hope that S4GRU just does not become self-aware like Skynet. That went badly.
  11. I have wondered if a future Nexus would be a Motorola. You know, it seems Motorola has been having hard times for awhile. If they leveraged their radio know-how into touchscreen Androids (the Admiral ain't it), they could do very well for themselves. The Photon was great. Keep up the innovation and promote the fact that it is an American company.
  12. Hey, it works for Sprint! Oh, wait. No it doesn't. We get lots of complaints about the Phillipines center.... in that people have a really difficult time understanding the reps. You have to remember, the English spoken by the reps there bears little resemblance to many of the varied dialects in the U.S. That and the outsourced centers get paid per call... so getting the customer off the line must be an imperative.
  13. From the BBC: as the anthem sings "Kazakhstan prostitutes cleanest in the region"...

    Trivia

Wikipedia states otherwise: SPC (Southern Pacific Communications) was only permitted to provide private lines, not switched services. When MCI Communications released Execunet, SPC took the FCC to court to get the right to offer switched services, and succeeded (the "Execunet II" decision). They decided they needed a new name to differentiate the switched voice service from SpeedFAX, and ran an internal contest to select one. The winning entry was "Sprint", an acronym for Switched PRIvate Network Telecommunications
  15. I never went to engineering school and have consumed a steady stream of science fiction my entire life. I can see how it is entirely possible.
  16. I am thinking more graphics are needed. Maybe a timeline. Or maybe just color that Market Map you had. Three colors for three rounds (it IS three, right)? Or do you have this already?
