Yes, the ETF on the contract levels out at $50. AFAIK, Clear is unlimited but throttles. Double-check that before you sign a contract. Still, may be a better deal if throttling is at 5GB... Depends what you need.

If you got the data card two years ago, you would be out of contract already.

Adding a T1 only patches the problem for a little while. With data traffic doubling every year, adding a measly 1.5 Mbit connection does not make a difference for very long. What is the capacity of the microwave bridge?

The network enhancements... mainly on the backhaul. Though I still have my doubts. Data traffic doubles every year so I am worried about whether or not Sprint can keep up with the growth in the face of financial challenges. It is too bad the Lightsquared deal fell apart. That would have provided a much needed revenue stream. -

Interesting. I have always thought it was funny that I learned things about Sprint on other sites before they officially told me. -
Is a merger necessary? Can they keep their respective 3G networks and just go together on LTE?

This cannot happen soon enough. The amount of wireless data is DOUBLING every year. I think Sprint is spot-on to not only accelerate Network Vision but also to deploy femto units to address indoor coverage and offload traffic from the towers.
